What stood out as much as the technical work: he flagged a slow coolant leak and a minor oil leak -- this is an older car, so neither was a shock -- but there was no pressure to pile on services. He showed me rough estimates so I'd have them when I'm ready and left the decisions to me. That kind of straightforward, no-upsell approach is rarer than it should be. The waiting area is a genuine plus: free wifi, a table big enough to work at, and a small fridge with complimentary drinks, large TV. My one suggestion would be to add a coffee in the AM. Also, the door to the reception currently reads "B". Might want to avoid any confusion with better signage. They decided that all four tires needed to be replaced, plus a couple other things, and quoted over a thousand dollars (!!!). I said how about you patch the flat tire and I'll come pick it up- which they refused (!!!- they professed deep concern about our "safety" lol). Since it was now mid-afternoon the day before Independence Day, I scrambled to find some other place to tow it; Mavis gets much better reviews and stays open until 8:30 pm, so they fit the bill. It cost me $140 to tow it on my own dime (AAA will only tow once per "incident" ugh), but then they patched the tire no problem for $32. The tires are fine: no "dry rot" as claimed at AAA. I just wish we'd had the good sense to take it to Mavis in the first place!!!

The car was returned after two hours and the bill paid. The next day, Micah called and said that he was sorry that I was not informed of a radiator leak, and quoted me the price of a replacement. Expensive - but I trusted them to do the correct work. Took it in on Friday the 31st and they completed the work that day. Picked it up at closing - Micah was still in the shop and no one was in the office. When I got home, I discovered the windshield was cracked and needed replacement. Micah denied responsibility and refused to pay for the repair - even though the the damage was done while J&J had the car. Micah said they could not cover it because their insurance would call it "an act of God". Any other shop would have paid for the windshield without question
