Okay so the only reason I came back here after such a terrible first experience is because the owner responded to my initial review in a way that made me want to give them another try. So kudos to Bob for knowing how to interact with customers as that's what got me back in the store. It was much much better organized this time and wasn't just a junk heap that was too overwhelming. I was happy to see that my comments on cleaning up certain areas of the store was taken seriously and I could safely view items I was interested in this time around, especially since my elderly grandma wanted to come and there was no way I would have allowed her in the store given the state it was in last time. Much safer and less overwhelming now. Thank you for taking my feedback seriously. We also had employees acknowledge and help us this time around which was an improvement over my last visit. I even bought a nice vanity for a good price and they loaded it up for me. The lady at the front was even really kind to my grandmother on a small item she wanted. My only reason for the 3 stars is that some of the employees didn't know how to help us on a few things and some of the prices on a few flooring items weren't a good price/weren't honored on the price we were given by an employee when we got to the register and the person we dealt with wasn't exactly nice about the issue. read more

Went on offerup to find a hammer drill. Drove 20 miles to purchase one and they don't have the ones featured in the pictures online. After digging I found a corded one. Drove 20 miles back, plugged it in and it started sparking and smoking... They don't answer the phones. The receipts say no refunds, only exchanges. Not worth the gas to go buy another possibly broken/hazardous tool. read more

Pretty frustrated in this moment. They have listings on OfferUp and that's how I found this place. I attempted to both call and message on the OfferUp platform and got no response; mind you, and not sure how accurate this is, but OfferUp said "active a few minutes ago". It was an hour to closing and therefore I didn't have much time to wait; I'm in need of the product for tomorrow AM. They were advertising a product that was not sold in stores at Walmart, and out of stock at Home Depot. I was hopeful, so I packed up my infant and drove the 30min. Spoiler alert: they don't have the product. She attempted to put it back on me: "well, we put a disclaimer on there that it's first come, first served" (understandable)... however there was no such verbiage; then to be told "oh, well, that listing must be suuuuuper old, I told them to put it on there with the one we sold this morning". Sure, she offered me a discount on something else, but didn't have anything like what I needed. I'm sure in the right circumstance this place could be lovely, but my experience was pretty disappointing. Just review your listings and answer a phone -- "no one is ever in the office" she says to me, like mobile phones don't exist. Won't come back, won't recommend. read more

Only a few employees were wearing masks and the ones that weren't definitely were not social distancing. We had to change our route and stop and wait for employees to pass so we could safely remain 6 feet away from people. COVID concerns aside, the customer service was non existent. We came looking for a vanity for our bathroom and they were almost all damaged. There were no prices on listed, just a few items had tape with a dollar amount crossed off. There weren't signs anywhere explaining the pricing and no one bothered to talk to us or offer any information. If you want to buy some of Home Depot's garbage, knock yourself out. If you're looking for something useable, try somewhere else. read more

Do your research! I purchased a 5 piece patio set for $420. Looked it up at Home depot and retail was $799 HOWEVER....it does not include the slip covers! It comes with just foam pillows no covers. Go to home depot website covers are $59 per chair, will end up costing almost $700, not worth the hassle to save $100 bucks. Listing was up for 2 months, I was told last night that it's still available, traveled an hour to get it and was told it already sold without even looking at the listing. They lie to get you to come in.... Avoid at all costs... The owner responded trying to suggest that their message said it was sold-that is a bold faced lie. Their message said "it's still available, let's make a deal on this item". They are just trying to get around this posting and discredit it, but it's true. Saw this somewhere and decided to see what they had to offer. Halfway through the store, there was a room full of boxes filled to the brim with all kinds of stuff. I only looked at the surface and didn't find anything. The last room had tile and wood flooring. Quess what, we bought 7 boxes of wood laminate for our office for half the price that is sold at Home Depot. I saw the sign that stated if you download the Home Depot app you can save 30%. I've only been a customer of SaleSumo for a few months, but I can confidently say this is my favorite store in all of Arizona. I remember my first visit and feeling overwhelmed and unsure how things worked- it's 3 warehouses with EVERYTHING you could need for a renovation, but items aren't priced or there's prices crossed out. Then I met Walter and Khalid. They work on the floor, along with dozens of employees in red shirts, and explained that prices vary, but are typically 30-50% off homedepot. The crossed out prices are the retail prices. If theres no price, the bar codes on items scan with the Homedepot app, which will give you a price estimate. The bigger your bundle, the better the prices get. When its time to check out, you'll meet Kim or one of the other associates at the front. Kim has gone above and beyond for me every time I've been there. One time I was looking for a specific exhaust fan. They didn't have it on the floor, but Kim knew of one, so she held it for me until I came back. I was blown away with that first impression of customer service. Every time I've come back, she greets me with a smile and a great deal. What was once an intimidating place to me, has quickly been my #1 go to for my job needs. I recently finished a full bathroom gut, and what would have cost me $12k to hire out, only cost me $3,600 greatly due to the deals I found here. I live in the East Valley, and this place is worth the drive every time. 10/10 recommend this spot! We went to Sale Sumo hoping to find some kitchen cabinets to create a kitchen peninsula. We were able to find all of the cabinets that we needed and even enough butcher block for our entire kitchen countertop, although one employee told us we took the entire shipment that had just arrived that morning. Employees walking by regularly checked on us to see if we needed help. Brandon helped us load up the five very large pieces of butcher block into our cart and the owner, Brian, made sure we had help loading it up into our truck. On our third visit, we had removed one item from its box for inspecting before purchasing and, as a result, the cashier mistakenly double charged us. We had a hard time reaching them on the phone, but returned to the store and received wonderful customer service, a quick refund, and a gift for our trouble. All in all, we have had many great experiences and will definitely be back. read more

Today was the first time we got to check out SaleSumo! Must I say it's pretty cool to go treasure hunting. I gave it a 4 star only because the pictures you see on here are nothing like the actual warehouse. Stuff everywhere and some things hard to get too. You do have to dig but if you're not looking for anything in particular, you'll come across some stuff you never knew you wanted. A tip: If you find something you need to push on a pallet or a cart, buy if so you can put it away and not lug it around. Idk if there was a safe place for my larger item but I didn't see one. Also, I didn't like that I had to ask for a price only because I had to bring it back to the front. A little bit of a pain but it was a fun experience!
