The size of my salad was puny. So not worth your money. There was so much space left in my takeout container when my salad arrived. I literally had to add my own kale to the salata salad to expand it enough to make it an actual meal. Go to the Weslayan street / greenway plaza location instead - at least they fill the salad container there, as they should. The quality of the ingredients is also hit or miss. Food was fresh and many different choices. I ordered a small salad that starts off at $9.99, but then to add protein is another $3.95 or depending on the protein. I got Romain hearts, egg, cheese, tomatoes, corn, croutons, mushrooms, avocado (cost extra $2.00!) and pesto chicken with a wheat mini croissant. Delicious but expensive for a salad totaling $17.21. I have really come to like Salata as a chain where I can eat healthily at a *mostly* reasonable price. The Bellaire location is clean and the staff are friendly. My go-to if I'm ordering ahead is The Harvest, and they are fast on preparing take-out orders. Nice restaurant. Very bright & impeccably clean. This was a first time visit. I chose a small spring mix. You able to have them add as many toppings as you like. I added eggs & spicy chicken for protein. A small amount of ginger lemon dressing. My initial thought was I will never be able to eat all of it. It was light and so good I ate almost all of it. In the future I would get the croutons on the side. All of the other toppings would have been fine to save for later. I had Chinese unsweetened black tea, it was really good. My hubby had the white bean soup and whole wheat croissant he enjoyed both. I will definitely go back before I leave Houston. read more

This location is in Bellaire on the corner of Rice and Bellaire. Free garage parking and parking in front of the location as well. Salata is definitely a favorite of mine. They are a chain which offers a "design your own salad" concept. They have two sizes and meat is an extra charge. So many toppings and delicious items to add to your salads, cheese, veggies, protein, fruit, etc. Several dressings to choose from. They also have a couple of selections of soups and bread. This location is super clean and inviting. A great choice for something heathy and quick. read more

Since Sweet Tomatoes closed in 2020, I have missed the buffet-style salad. Salata is not as good as Sweet Tomatoes which had offered salad, soups, breads, etc. for a low buffet price. But Salata gives a good amount of food for the price, about $10 for a regular-sized bowl. Actually, the smaller bowl for $9 should be enough for most people because I could not finish the $10 regular-size bowl. But make sure the server doesn't fill up half the bowl with cheap lettuce at the get-go. You want your bowl filled with the higher-quality items like beets and sprouts. So ask for a minimal amount of lettus and ask more of the high-quality items. This locationis clean and the tables are spacious. Overall, Salata offers healthy salad for a reasonable price. read more

‼‼‼they let me drink bleach solution from their tap station.‼‼‼ i came here this afternoon around 4pm and bought a fountain drink. after paying, the cashier handed me the empty cup with a straw (obviously implying that the tap was available). upon tasting, i figured it was some toxic solution, which they confirmed was bleach solution after i asked. i immediately grabbed a bottle of water, which they should have offered right away. i left and went to the nearest ER, and while on my way contacted poison control. i am still under observation. one more thing! i reached out to their general manager and was told that "it is actually safe to drink that." stupid. i am holding this manager and her staff accountable for the mishandling of this incident. an incident report isn't enough. this is a franchise so i had assumed they'd train their staff properly. this negligence could cost someone's life. to all customers: beware of this branch. employees don't care enough to do their jobs properly. i hope you all close down. ‼‼‼‼‼‼‼ read more

Trying to drive in there is a nightmare. The parking lot is barricaded off right in front of the store. So I guess you have to loop all the way around to get in there? This place has been more miss than hit lately. I have gone for dinner there 3 times in the last few month and each time the service has been terrible. One time it took an hour for my online order. I got there at my scheduled pickup time and they had a long stack of orders they had not started yet including mine. The one time I went in person through the line for dinner it took them 2 tries to make the wrap. The kid did not seem to know what he was doing or didn't care. That being said I go weekly for lunch as that service was decent but that is now getting worse. Two weeks ago the order was late and not well made. Today the tortilla for my wrap was stale and dry and the thing just fell apart after a couple of bites. Just threw it in the trash. They did a great job for awhile at lunch time but less so it seems and not consistent in how they make it. Moving on from them. read more
