A wonderful, bright spot to eat! We stumbled upon this place on the way out of town. The open air kitchen gives it a lively atmosphere and the staff was friendly. I had a breakfast wrap with scrambled eggs, crispy bacon and potatoes. A bit bland without the cheese (I'm dairy free), but tasty nonetheless. My experience at HS Green was just okay. I ordered a buffalo chicken wrap and when I tried it, it was somewhere between cold and lukewarm... I was expecting it to be piping hot. It was wrapped tightly, but due to its thick size it was a bit hard to take a proper bite. The buffalo flavor was there, as well as a decent amount of vegetables. The sauce on the side was good but it definitely wasn't enough for the entire wrap. I'm sure I would've enjoyed the wrap more had it been served fresh and warm. read more

I haven't been here in a while and my friend never tried it. So she came with me to check it out. I ordered the rotisserie chicken with the mashed potatoes instead of the potatoes that it came with. She got the salmon with spinach. The chicken was okay to me. Not too bland or dry, just okay. The mashed potatoes did taste like instant potatoes but they weren't bad. They had a good flavor to them. HS Green is starting to become a regular take out spot for me. It's conveniently located a few doors down from 24 hour Fitness, so I can pop in and pick up an order after class. Since they offer healthy options, I don't feel guilty eating take out after a workout. I've only placed orders online and most of the time, my food is ready when I pick it up. It is a bit pricey, but everything is fresh and/or made from scratch so it's to be expected. Menu items that I have tried: Salmon Ginger Salad - This salad is unique. It had a good variety of textures and flavors. I really like the Japanese Ginger dressing and edamame. Strawberry lemonade - It was slightly tart, but refreshing. Grilled Salmon - This entree is so tasty and flavorful! I love the lemon butter sauce and the spinach and garlic mashed potatoes compliment the chicken well. It's a balanced meal that is satisfying. Kale Chicken Caesar Salad - I love the Caesar dressing. The chicken is always tender and flavorful! This has become one of my favorites to order. Hummus and Flatbread - The hummus is really good and creamy. The "flatbread" was more like crispy pita chips. They weren't bad, but I was expecting slices of soft pita bread. Steak Wrap with Seasonal Fruit - The steak is very flavorful, but the tortilla was a bit soggy from the dressing since I had it tossed in the salad that was inside the wrap. It probably didn't help that I didn't eat it until I got home which allowed the dressing to soak into the tortilla longer. The fruit bowl was comprised mostly of grapes with a couple of pieces of pineapple and strawberry. The quality of the food and the service from the friendly staff is always consistent. Although I didn't eat there the interior of the location was pleasing to be in. $13 for the wrap which comes with either fruit or chips. If they had an option to buy the wrap only and bring down the cost that would be awesome. Okay food, okay service, but I can't say it was worth the price. We got some Guacamame, some bowls, the kids got some chicken tender meals. Both of the kids meals were sad. They got a huge portion of chicken, but it was incredibly dry with no sauces to make it edible. One kid ordered crispy and the other ordered grilled, yet both were dry, dry, dry. I've noticed the food takes a bit of time to arrive to the table, but they have an excuse- they make it fresh! Overall, they're more like a 3.5 star joint. They offer a nice selection of salads (even a crispy duck salad), wraps, pizza, a soup or two and tons of drink options including smoothies, (delicious) lemonade, tea, beer & wine. The food is simple & straightforward, a bit more laid back compared to True Foods, but sometimes I find my selection to be a bit lacking in flavor - for example - their chicken tacos definitely make me feel healthy, but are not indulgent. The chicken itself lacks salt & the included veggie are raw. The tacos are great to go as the corn tortillas keep their form without the residue of butter or oils from the chicken or veggies, but they may not be everyone's jam. On the other hand the lemonade, black currant tea & sweet potato fries are always winners. I recently went to the restaurant for a takeout salad. Due to the fact that I do not eat mango, I asked the cashier if I could substitute another item. She asked what I would like; I responded avocado. She was lovely and indicated that she would have to check. The manager provided a negative response. I said to just leave the mango off the order. The salad was mediocre with a plethora of lettuce and fairly dry chicken. There was a dollop of avocado chopped into little pieces. The bottom line is I will not return and the additional avocado would have been worth about $.50. read more

I ordered the southwest wrap, and the greens that were inside looked as though they came from a bag that was about to expire. HS Green has to be one of the biggest scams and disappointments I've come across. I can't believe I paid over $50 for a salad, a wrap, and two juices. My Southwest Spicy chicken wrap was offensively bland and not even remotely close to being spicy. I ended up throwing half away because it was so bad. They forgot most of the ingredients in the kale chicken salad and it ended up being literally a bowl of kale and bland chicken. The worst part of this visit was the absolute robbery they committed when charging $10.50 for bottled juice. What I like about their menu is that you can veganize a lot of the menu items. They also have a wine menu and beer as well. There's some tables outside and PLENTY of seating inside. I counted about 2 small booths, 1 long booth (fits 4 parties comfortably), 11 tables with 2 chairs, 5 tables with 4 high chairs, 1 long table with 12 high chairs, and a bar across the front wall with 6 seats. Customer service- Amazing! The lady that helped me went into great depth about the menu items and was very kind. Food/drinks- I got a glass of Pinot noir; I really wish they would've had a moscato. I came here at 7pm for dinner and there were only 4 people working with no division of labor and everyone running in different directions. There were only 3 customers one another couple and the other a homeless man just taking up space and not ordering anything. I had the duck salad that looked nothing like the picture there were maybe 3 or four bites that had duck and the rest was a boring bland salad. I should have known not to order duck at a fast food plastic and cardboard only restaurant. My husband had the ginger salmon salad and pretty much just ate the salmon filet. The salad was huge chucks of Kale that could not be cut by just a plastic fork as they were our of plastic knives. I was hoping for a new go to place for fresh soup and salads but this place was a once and done and runaway and never come back place for me. Don't waste your time or money.... read more

OMG!!! The food here is so amazing that I ordered from here two nights in a row while in Houston on business. Both times I ordered the salmon, spinach and mashed potatoes. The salmon was cooked to perfection and the wine sauce was divine. I'm not even a fan of spinach, but they make it so flavorful that your begging for more. They are quite tall with all the contents in between though, so kind of hard to eat without destroying the aesthetic. The Vietnamese wrap was an interesting concept...kind of like a spring roll in a wrap with peanut sauce on the side. Was not bad in taste but not my favorite. I don't think I could have handled the cranberries in it but they were good. Side options are chips and salsa or fruit. Because of an allergy, I opted out of the fruit and went with the chips and salsa. As a chips and salsa connoisseur ... the tomatillo salsa here is too good and so are the chips. I've been a frequent customer of HS Green for the past 2 years and my go to meal is the Southwest Chicken Wrap with tortillas chips (it's sooo good.) The food is always fresh and the price is affordable. The reason I did not give them 5 stars is because I feel like the level of customer service need to improve. The manger I dealt with there was unprofessional/rude that I actually completed the survey that was sent to me after my purchase to express my disappointment with the level of service.
