Spring mix bowl with spicy salmon & spicy tuna.
Vi D.

The toppings are Pokeworks are the best!! This location is my go-to spot for poke since it's very close to my house. The service is always great, but my cousin and I were especially impressed with Adam and Nevaeh. We went there on Saturday 12/14 for their Buy One get One free event at around 5pm. It was drizzling at the the same so there were not many customers in the store. Adam helped both of us assemble our bowls. He was very friendly and patient as we made our choices. Nevaeh helped wrap up the order and at checkout. The entire process was easy, thank you both! I love that Pokeworks has spring mix as a base option, and the mix looks & tastes fresh. Protein options are pretty standard - I usually choose either tuna or salmon or both. The highlights are the add-ins ands toppings that they offer. I absolutely love that they have edamame, masago, fried garlic and onions. And chili crisp!! All of these together make the perfect bowl every time!

Tofu burrito

This was my second time in years that I visited a Poke restaurant. There were only two attendants during lunch. I chose a small burrito with tofu. You can choose different toppings. Avocado is extra. The gentleman making bowls and burritos had to be kaking off the gloves to ring people up. They need a dedicated cashier. So when it came time to pay, I was being charged for a regular burrito. I corrected him as I ordered a small one. The place is small. I suppose most folks take food to go. I did like my burrito. I needed something healthy and this was much better than the slice of pizza I get at Costco sometimes.

For a city that seemingly has all the world's cuisines (#1), a sore subject has been the abysmal Hawaiian food scene that is a poor attempt or national chain. Pokéworks is part of the latter, which is a more acceptable outcome than the alternative (#2). It is far from ideal but has managed to help me scratch the itch whenever I'm looking for a taste of Hawaii. The fast casual setup is ideal for people who are on the go. Takeout is encouraged here, mainly due to lack of seating (More like a wall counter) and the minimal staffing. It's a solid lunch option in the area and a good place for a snack. Parking is a cinch since it shares the same lot as Costco and LA Fitness. The poke is not going to be life-changing, but it can be a solid fix for anyone who's looking for it. The ahi tuna and plethora of salmon options are on full display. I don't know now if anyone is allowed to sample, but I've been fortunate to have each one here. The umami ahi and yuzu ponzu salmon are the ones to get for me, and I tend to get the combination of both proteins. The bang bang chicken and sweet shoyu tofu options are a bit laughable but may work for those with certain dietary restrictions. The poke burrito is a bit disappointing sometimes since the rice is heavy, but the fish is minimal. While I don't mind their mini musubi, I do mind the price. I'm not even sure if this is the best location in Houston, but I can attest that it is a solid option for anyone who is in the area and craving poke with minimal expectations. Last but not least, I would recommend signing up for their rewards program just to score points and discounts. __________ (#1) This is sarcasm. Deal with it, Houstonians. (#2) None at all.

We came when they were doing a BOGO free special and it was so good! Ingredients were fresh, staff was friendly and the bowls were filled well. Good spot if you want some good poke!

Poke Bowl - Large (3 Proteins)

4.5 stars My favorite poke bowl place in Houston! Every time I've come I always order the poke-your-way with three proteins. You can get as many toppings as you want and proteins include tofu, chicken, salmon sashimi, tuna sashimi, as well as spicy tuna and spicy salmon. My got-tos are two scoops of salmon and one scoop of tuna. The ingredients are very fresh and portions generous. By the time you get to the end of the line your bowl is brimming with so many toppings that it looks like a little mountain. I enjoy the pokeworks classic dressing as well as the ponzu shoyu. If you're not sure which one to get, you can ask for a sample and the friendly staff will happily let you try. Seriously, every time I've come I've always been impressed with the service and attitude of the staff here. My husband asked for a water cup with a lid for our toddler, and the worker went to the back and looked up and down for awhile (we could see him) before returning with a brand new package of cups and lids that he opened in front of us. They also serve you with a smile, so you don't feel bad for getting every single topping, lol. I have to say this is quite rare for a fast food joint. Definitely contributes to a good dining experience! My only complaint (hence 4.5 stars) is that the rice in the spam musubi is mushy, and that just really bothers me. However, my son Loves their musubi so we still get it every time. If you're a fan of poke bowls, definitely come give pokeoworks a try!

Super excited to see that Pokeworks opened up close to me! I've been watching for the opening ever since they posted their sign out front; and then Covid hit and it was delayed cause there wasn't work done for a long long time. Welp, the day has finally arrived that we saw a big huge "Open" banner in front and in the back of their store! Bf and I were looking for a place to get take-out for dinner one night and decided it was time to try Pokeworks! I mean, they've only been opened for about 2 weeks but I'm surprised we didn't get over here sooner! Located right in the left corner of the shopping complex on Weslayan, in the same complex as Costco, CC Nails, Buffalo Wild Wings, etc. Tons of parking out front. We live right in the area so decided to walk on in. Masks required and nobody in the store at the time except for 2 employees. I told him (the guy working the front) that this was my first time at a Pokeworks and he was super super nice! Walked me through the whole process. The bf ordered a prefixed bowl item on the menu and I just walked through the line and customized my own - kinda like a poke Chipotle! First off your base: brown rice, white rice, noodles, salad, etc.. the options are endless. Then comes your protein - Ahi Tuna, Salmon, Spicy Tuna, etc - I can't remember all the options but just to list a few. You can customize the number of scoops of protein by the size. Now the sauce and the toppings! Lots of items to choose from - jicama, corn, nori, seaweed salad, etc etc. There's also tea and a cold fridge with drinks in the front if you'd like a drink as well! The portion size was pretty filling - we were both full before we finished our bowls. The flavors were good - though go light on the sauce to get the full taste of the fish. I find that if you go heavy, you lose a lot of the flavors of the poke bowl. Ingredients tasted fresh - though I wish the fish was kept at a colder temperature! I enjoyed my meal and it was a major win because we came on a night that it was buy one, get one half off! Yay to deals! Not sure if this is an opening special and how long it'll last but it made it worth a try!

Staff were friendly and helped explain the process. It's kind of like chipotle. Got a #2 signature and #2 poke your way. Tried the noodle base but preferred my wife's white rice base more. I asked for a little bit of everything. I kept saying I'd like "whatever comes with it" but they kept replying "nothing comes with it". So I guess you gotta say "everything that doesn't have an extra charge to it" and they understand that better. To me it's potatoes potatoes.

Big fan of Pokeworks, great quality and delicious sauce combinations -- not to mention the seasonal ingredients and flavors they bring in from time to time! The Poke here is always quick to order and pick up. One combination I really like.... About the delivery cancellation.
Matthew V.

Service - horrible. I ordered online for delivery from the Pokeworks website. The order was first delayed an hour and then cancelled an hour and half later. When I saw the notification, it told me to talk the store. So I called them, hoping to get a resolution. Instead, I was told the order was picked up by a DoorDasher awhile ago and not thier fault, yet the Pokeworks website told me to talk to them. I asked to speak to a manager, which they refused but they did call thier manager behind the scenes. The manager also refused to help and refused to speak to me. So still hungry, I drove to store to talk in person. Again they said it was my fault for using the Pokeworks website, I should have used an different app. So again I requested to speak to manager, but they refused and called the manager in the back and refused to let me talk to the manager. Instead, they said I could come back tomorrow and talk to him. They never apologized. They never took ownership for my poor experience. They eventually agreed to make me my order and refund the delivery fee...after 20 minutes of talking after my order was 1.5 hrs late!! And the worst part is the food is good. We've ordered from this place just about every week for months! And this is how they treat a loyal repeat customer!! They blame me for using their website and expecting the food I ordered to be delivered as promised!

A great place to come by and grab lunch really quick. I stopped by for my lunch break and was able to get the food quickly and sat down. Overall Pokeworks is a great for a quick bite to eat!

Vaguely authentic purveyor of salads topped with raw fish. Healthy grinds to be sure, but not even close to Hawaiian food.

LOVEEEEEE the poke here!!…read more At Okome Don, they give you the option to pick from 3 different proteins (I usually get salmon, shrimp, and crab meat) for only like 11 bucks bro!!! There is a larger one with like 5 scoops, but I usually just get the 3 scoop :D They have a variety of different sides that you can add into your poke like edamame, avocado, corn, green onion, fried onion, etc etc! Every poke order (or order in general idk) comes with a complimentary miso soup, which is such a nice touch with the poke! All of the times that I have gotten poke here, was amazing! The quality is fresh and always tastes great! Always has me wanting more LOL!!! Every time I've come here as well, there was almost always no line at all so I was able to order fairly quickly and get my food fast!

Spotlessly clean establishment, superb customer service and consistently scrumptious poke bowl…read more It has been awhile since I've eaten here, so I was pleasantly surprised that they added paper forms for ordering. It definitely makes it easier to see all the mix in options especially with kids.

My roommate and I were craving Poke for dinner. Usually, I like to indulge in poke at Poke in the…read moreBowl, but because I forgot my coupons, I wanted to give Seaside Poke a chance. Some pros include good service, an efficient ordering system (you can fill out a small slip of paper at the front of the restaurant), and the unique oil selection option. But unfortunately, my biggest gripe was their food. Upon receiving my order, my roommate noted how small the bowl was. While size didn't matter (initially), they gave me way more rice than protein, and by the end of my meal, I found myself having to supplement my leftover rice with my own protein. A small bowl was 3 scoops of protein (I requested 2 scoops of spicy tuna and 1 scoop of spicy yellowtail), but frankly, they were a bit stingy with their portions because it did not seem like 3 scoops. I felt that paying $14 for how much I was getting turned me off. Furthermore, my roommate and I agreed that the sauces and how the fish was seasoned were more salty than spicy. I requested 2 types of spicy raw fish and a spicy aioli sauce and still found the spice to be subtle, almost nonexistent. In addition, some premium ingredients, such as Masago and Seaweed Salad, would have been free elsewhere. Overall, I was unsatisfied with my experience and unsure if I'd return. While taste is subjective, I'd suggest improving portion sizes by fixing the rice-to-protein ratio; past reviews have expressed similar sentiments, so I know I'm not alone in feeling like the portions are absurd. Also worth mentioning is that they give free dessert (ube, matcha, and pandan rice crispies) if you leave a Google review, which I feel could skew the ratings.
