This is our go-to sushi place. The staff is very friendly, the ambiance is calm, and the food is reliably tasty. I love that it's all you can eat and you can order a lot of food by the piece. It means I'm allowed to try a variety of different items without wasting leftovers. We have taken many visitors here and they like it too. The only thing I don't recommend is the udon soup. Great option for AYCE sushi in this part of town. It's gotten more expensive in the last few years but inflation sucks for all. It used to be closer to $20 for dinner, but now it's $28. Lunch is now $19. If one person chooses AYCE, then everyone has to AYCE. I honestly wouldn't choose anything else from Sakura -- they have a nice variety on the menu. They have an assortment of seating options and can take reservations if you call ahead (there's no OpenTable, Yelp Res, etc etc). I get this vibe that since they don't really have an online presence, it's more of a IYKYK locals place. Nice family that runs it, and their staff are pretty good. As I stated, the menu has a good variety of appetizers, hand rolls (!!!), nigiri, tempura, fried and regular rolls. A couple of the rolls are a little more on the meh side, but if you come hungry with people, you can definitely try a little of everything and get a good feel for the menu. Sakura is a pretty good option for ACYE sushi. The price is the best part-- $18.99 for lunch. I love that the menu includes appetizers, special rolls (albeit a very small selection), regular rolls, soup, salad, and hibachi. There is truly somehthing for everyone. My favorite part about the menu is that you are able to order a single hand roll, which allows you to try more types of sushi and not fill up as quickly. You can get any roll made as a hand roll or regualr roll. The service was great! Our waitress was kind and attentive and the food came out fast! The restaurant was pretty noisy between the customers, music, and multiple tvs playing different movies. I hate writing bad reviews. But I told myself when I started, I would be truthful. The restaurant was very nice on the inside. The hostess and servers were attentive. The food came out fast. The appetizers were OK. However, the sushi... I really don't know how to put it. It was so bland that I've had plain rice with more flavor. Not a trace of vinegar or salt or anything else in the rice that I could taste. Even the ingredients in the rolls were bland. The eel sauce and mayo was the only taste discernable. We always enjoy something in the sushi category for lunch/dinner whenever we can make room for it. This is a new place for us but it did not disappoint. Good variety of rolls and generous fillings (fish) and not too much rice on any of them. We were careful not to waste any food as we saw that they charge quite seriously for food waste which is fair and reasonable. We had several rolls to start to include Salmon avocado roll, rainbow roll, shrimp tempura roll, and Out of Control roll. My favorite was the Out of Control roll, so we ordered that 2 more times iirc, at least 1 more time, haha. The Eel & avocado hand roll was pretty good although I'm not familiar with hand rolls usually, so my wife interoduced me to that, but the New York roll I did not enjoy as the topping was really mushy fish paste like and the filling was so spicy I could only eat 1 piece and my wife had to eat the rest, our kids couldn't partake at all. Other items that we enjoyed included eggplant tempura, yakitori tasty but over burnt, onion rings were good, freshly fried. There wasn't vanilla ice cream (!), so I had to settle for the Green tea ice cream which was tasty, but not very flavorful. It was creamy, but kind of bland. Overall, this place was impressive in the quality and variety, but I understand that they used to offer sashimi in their AYCE lunch and that's not available anymore, so we had to settle for nigiri just to have pieces of raw fish by themselves. Of course we ate the rice from the nigiri too, but mixed those w/the delicious teriyaki grilled salmon (very good so we ordered a couple more pieces and the crunchy chicken and pork katsu w/a bit too much sauce, so the rice worked out well with those to ensure we did not waste the rice from the nigiri. Suffice to say we got creative with our consumption at this AYCE. They got all our orders correct and quick to serve, so it was a good experience and we hope to be back! read more

Surprisingly satisfied from my first time here. A group of 3 of us came for dinner, were sat right away on a Friday night. The quality of the sashimi definitely was a big big positive. The specialty rolls though, were underwhelming. Also, if I recall correctly, they had only 1-2 options with eel. The tempura lacked flavor and was just too oily to find truly enjoyable. Tried the teriyaki salmon and though the flavor was good, it was overcooked and dry. Also, what is it with Japanese restaurants and only trying to serve soju/asian alcohol? Can't someone enjoy asian food with liquor or beer we actually WANT to order? I get its an asian restaurant, but a bar doesn't need to be Irish to serve Irish whiskey. We went with 4 kids (11mo, 3y, 5y, and 8y) following a VERY busy day (left the house at 6:30am and wrapped up dinner by 6pm) to an early dinner at Sakura. We did the all-you-can-eat for the whole table. Our server was Jenny. Honestly this is my all time favorite restaurant. I think it's worth anyone trying, for their lunch deal it's like $24 (considering you're drinking water) with a tip for ALL you can eat sushi but GOOD sushi. I am literally addicted. The workers are super nice & after a while they really get to know you & greet you with a warm welcome. The Las Vegas roll is fantastic (perhaps one of my core addict pieces), but I'd also recommend their Green Dragon Roll, as well as their Rainbow Roll. They have BEAUTIFUL paintings all over their walls & the whole restaurant is so fancy (maybe not dress to the divines, I mean unless you feel excessive? Or on a date.) This is my go to spot for sushi. There are very few places that include sashimi on their all you can eat menu but this place has it on the dinner menu. It's also pretty decently priced for all you can eat sushi - less than the price for 2 rolls at any other sushi spot. And for sushi in a land locked state, its pretty good. Possibly the freshest I've tasted, though I don't get out to try a lot given the price and quality of Sakura. The service is always good, the restaurant is clean, and we've never had to wait for a table. My usual is the avocado salad, miso soup, yellowtail and salmon (so good) sashimi, and the out of control roll, and I am always pleased. My husband usually orders about 60 pieces of sashimi and they haven't kicked us out yet! read more

Food is very very good and comes out very fast! But one of the female servers made fun of me and my 3 friends for ordering all you can eat even though this is an all you can eat restaurant. After our first round of food, she would laugh at as and make faces and when she would go back to the kitchen she would make fun of us with her co workers. I don't really understand why because it wasn't an abnormal amount of food as my friends are big boys and look like they eat a lot. We've been here a couple times and the snarky server only judged us once, but it was the first time we were there so it set up a bad first impression. Very clean restaurant. Even though it was slightly busy on Easter afternoon, the restaurant is large and spacey. We were given about 10 little menu sheets, which was more than enough. I enjoy the method of ordering, it's much easier to figure out what you want and to communicate that to the waiter. I checked in on Yelp and saw a coupon for $0.01 alcoholic drink, but I didn't try it out this time around. However, that sounds like a great deal! Be sure to check-in next time. The process of ordering and receiving food was super quick! They were patient and willing to answer any questions my party and I had. The food was delicious and worth the price. The nigiri was fresh and the rolls from the lunch menu were great. Though the lunch menu is more limited (in comparison to the dinner menu), the lunch menu had more than enough for my party and I. Some of our favorites were the crab ragoons (ACTUALLY HAD CRAB IN THEM! YUM!), yellowtail nigiri, and the chicken skewer.
