Such a warm and welcoming staff! But, I have THE cutest toddler and who is such a charmer and everyone loves him. Everyone was very nice and attentive while we had lunch here. There were not many patrons for their lunch, so they were able to keep an eye on us. We had their AYCE lunch menu - which does it seem like we are having less and less AYCE places in the valley?? It was for their grand opening: $18.99/per person. We did not get charged for my toddler so I assume charming kids eat free (lol) We ordered A LOT and I'm happy they had hand rolls. Their yellowtail was pretty good, along with their salmon. I was not a big fan of their tempura, it was oily, but decent. For the price - it was pretty good. I didn't realize that this was their 2nd location and that we had been their location at Power Road. This was a great experience. Had dinner here with friends midweek and it wasn't busy. We were seated right away and the server quickly came over to take our drinks orders and to explain the menu. We ordered several rolls, chicken teriyaki bowls, spring rolls, shrimp tempura, udon beef soups, chicken fried rice's, white rice's, and cheese wontons. It all tasted fresh. I think Sakura has two other locations, but I haven't been to either of them. I tried the new location in Gilbert with a friend. We were greeted by a friendly, energetic lady who I think is the manager there. She explained the whole process and gave us a stack of the order sheets. It seemed like the only option was to do all-you-can-eat, which is what we came for anyway. AYCE includes appetizers, salad, fried rice, fried udon, teriyaki, udon, maki rolls, hand rolls, sashimi, nigiri, house special rolls, and dessert. I loved the variety of options! We were pretty full from the house special rolls, but the manager came by and spoke so highly of the appetizers, so we tried a couple of those as well. We ordered: Green Dragon Roll Pink Dragon Roll Angry Dragon Roll Gold Roll Out of Control Roll Gyoza Deep Fried Scallop All of the food was delicious! The sushi rice tasted very fresh. The manager tried to sell us on getting ice cream as well, but we were stuffed. I will definitely come back, and I'll be starving so I can try more dishes! read more

It was a bit difficult for me to write this because I don't like writing negative reviews. At the end of the day this is my own personal experience and no one else's. I went to Sakura a few months ago celebrate a friends little brothers birthday. It was about 5 of us all together. We did AYCE and ordered many different sushi rolls - I naturally gravitated towards the spicy ones since I love spicy tuna, salmon, etc. Unfortunately, I early on could tell that the food was not fresh. I thought maybe it was just the rolls I was trying so then I tried my friends rolls & the tuna had a very weird taste and consistency. As someone who eats spicy tuna rolls any chance I get, I have tried many sushi places and this one was one of the worst spicy tuna rolls . We finished our meals and chatted for a bit. I would say not even 40 minutes had passed since we finished eating when I started to get nauseous. I think the worst part overall was getting sick from eating here. I was sick for about 2 days and couldn't keep food down if you know what I mean. I didn't want to ruin the birthday fun for my friends so I didn't mention how bad of an experience I had. I'd like to mention that my partner got sick from the food as well so it was not just me. I am writing this in the hopes that the Sakura staff make an effort into looking into the way their sushi staff prepare the fish/food. I can say me and my wife were both super surprised. The manager greeted us and was extremely welcoming. She explained how it works and to " just keep ordering" and that's what we did. I didn't expect 5 star sushi but we did get 4 star sushi. Which for an all you could eat would have cost a few hundred bucks at another place. Oh wow! What a surprise ! ATCE for $20! It's in Gilbert and oh boy is it good! First off I'm very picky on sushi. No grocery store or cheap sushi restaurants. If the color of the Yellow tail is off and dark I'm out! This was up there with the best in AZ I've had. Yellowtail was such a light color and so fresh, I'm surprised it wasn't still twitching!
