The experience was fun and nice. But the shrimp was poor quality and also the lady took my order wrong so I was the only person without fried rice for my appetizer. That was disappointing. On top of that she was the one who made a mistake and probably realized it so she came back and asked me if I was the one who wanted steamed rice to make it seem like I ordered that which I didn't. Mind you we were already half way into our meal. Then I said no I wanted the fried rice which is what i initially ordered so she told me it will cost extra. Then I said whatever I am already halfway through my meal and my boyfriend shared with me his portion. Like Jesus lady you made a mistake and tried to put it on me that I want steamed rice. Also the chef totally forgot my boyfriend's families allergies and proceeded to cook everything together. But thankfully someone reminded him that they had a shrimp allergy. Jesus! Hopefully they get their orders right for someone else.

Was fun meal because the chef made it fun. My steak was overcooked, though supposed to be medium rare but was well. Very dry. Didn't eat it. The apps and sides were good, and I was full when I left.

Fun place to go for celebrations. Loved the way that the chef interacted with us, he was pretty fun. It definitely is a popular place since there are a lot of people there, but fortunately we got a seat together. The food is good, nice proportions for the pricing. I've came here before in december and it was nice to celebrate graduation here in may :)

It's been years since I've gone to a hibachi restaurant and I don't know why it's been so long! I can't believe I'm writing this about a hibachi restaurant. We were hit with a dinner lull and wanted something a little exciting. Having a kid, we wanted something fun and entertaining, and wow, this place hit all the marks. Our kid especially enjoyed the experience and gobbled up the soup, fried rice and even some of the meat! Portions were huge, chicken was super tender, shrimp was cooked perfectly, and steak was surprising not bad. I loved the fried rice and veggies and I mean, who can go wrong with the yum yum sauce? I thought the price was a little overpriced but for dinner and a show, I can't wait for the next time to go back. Service was prompt, and very attentive. It was packed for a Wednesday night and will def make reservations next time. Don't know about the sushi bar, but can't wait to go back.

Delicious filet minon and shrimp

I've been to Sakura before, but sat on the sushi side of the restaurant. This time, I went with a group of friends for hibachi. The chef put on a good show with flames and throwing food to catch in your mouth. I ordered the mushrooms appetizer, and shrimp & filet minon combo. I loved the filet minon so much. It was tender and juicy! I highly recommend it. My husband's appetizer was chicken livers. I honestly wish I got that, but the mushrooms I got were good too. Aside from the chef we also had a server getting us our drinks and high chairs, as needed. All in all, it was really good time. I'll definitely be back.

I never thought I would frequent a hibachi place for their sushi but it's just such high tier sushi that I always make a left at the hostess stand to get to the sushi bar (instead of right towards hibachi). The cuts of fish are thick, the sauce on the spicy rolls have the best ratio of fish/Mayo/spicy, and the seared salmon melts in my mouth. When I come here, I don't crave the fancy rolls with a bunch of ingredients because I know their regular rolls already pack a bunch of flavor. The sushi price at Sakura being cheaper than the surrounding area helps me justify eating out here so often. A meal for me to be full costs ~$22 (for 2 rolls and 2 pieces of seared fish).

Celebrated our daughter's birthday here and it was so much fun. The food was delicious as always and our chef was wonderful. He was very interactive and kind. Salmon, Steak and shrimp all cooked perfectly. Portions are well worth the money.

Daniel P is by far the best cook I've gotten here. He's funny, his hibachi tricks are Really good.. and most importantly he cooked the food fantastic and in the correct order. A++ Ps: give this man a raise

My favourite roll of the night; 5/5. Christmas - Tasted good but nothing special in my opinion; 3.5/5. Seared Salmon Belly - complimentary dish we got at the end. Everything tasted so great with the seared flavour, the buttery fish, and the lemon juice on the bottom; 5/5! Everything else was solid too: Lychee J-Pop beer, miso soup, salad were 4/5. The place was packed and busy! We had a reservation for 7pm but there was about 10-15min wait since it was busy. The restaurant seems kind of small but they segment blocks within that make it a little bit more appealing. We were sat in the back near the bar and restroom. I forgot our servers name but he was very nice and knowledgeable about the menu and any questions we had. We started with the seared salmon and the presentation was awesome! They ignited it at the table and let it sear on its own. It was melt in your mouth deliciousness. We got a sushi platter as well as a few rolls. Come by, you won't be disappointed:)

Probably a max of 20-24 customers at a time and it was very intimate. Like many of the restaurant stalls in Japan. It was very cultural and the staff spoke Japanese. The service was amazing as there were on their toes to make sure we were happy. There was no designated waiter/waitress, the team work was perfect. The food was made to perfect and the freshness of the uni and salmon were as if they were fishing it from the back door. We ordered some miso soup, fried squid, salmon nigiri and sashimi, uni, salmon belly nigiri and of course a couple of classic beers. Salmon nigiri and sashimi was generously cut and amazingly fresh. With the temperature perfectly chilled to it melting in your mouth, it was as if we were in Japan. The Uni was even more amazing!! Properly chilled and the creamy texture was beyond perfect. Salmon belly nigiri was succulent and writing this review makes me want to take that 2 hr commute for another round. I forgot to mention the fried squid/calimari. Not many will understand this but the tempura batter was perfectly dipped and the tender texture was amazing. It was not out of a bag, it was freshly cut, battered, and fried there. It was an amazing experience and we will be back for more excitement.

Spicy dynamite was pretty crispy and very large sushi pieces which I was not expecting lol after a while the only thing I tasted was the cream cheese so I do wish it was less cream cheese here. Sushi assortments were awesome! One of the freshest sushi as of yet. Definitely recommend.

We split a tonkatsu ramen, ordered 10-piece rolls, and went for the sashimi regular platter. The ramen stood out right away. The tonkatsu pork had a beautiful sear on it -- something you don't often see in ramen -- which added great texture and a satisfying chew. The broth was equally impressive: rich, deep, and full of flavor. The salmon and crab rolls had a welcome kick to them, but the real showstopper was the sashimi platter. For a "regular" option, it was far from regular. Twelve generous, thick-cut pieces of fish, thoughtfully presented -- the salmon was delicately rolled into a rose shape with salmon roe nestled inside. The platter also featured scallops, which felt like a special touch. They even included fatty tuna, a premium cut that you rarely see at this price point. We'll absolutely be back.

One of the taller workers who's sitting down on the table, scoots out aggressively, walks up to my face with his chest puffed out and stares me down with a "Can I help you sir!?". I didn't take it as a threat, but the ambiance within the room made it feel like I was unwanted in the establishment. I simply smiled, walked passed him and asked if I could look at the menu. I then order 1 Mochi piece. I find it a bit strange that a singular piece is 5 dollars but that's besides the point. The same server opens the refrigerator and pulls out the Mochi with his Bare Hands that I witnessed him use to eat his food and wipe his face before I walked into that door. I actually live in Japan and eat mochi regularly. There was nothing special about that Mochi in taste being 5 dollars. The entire strip where this is located is amazing, every establishment treats neighboring staff kindly, EXCEPT for this place. I've been to other Kusshi's and this is by far my least favorite one. I don't like to give out low reviews as this is my first ever one. But this is just improper etiquette.
