Horrible, horrible customer service. At first, a kind Asian lady rang me up. We had a pleasant conversation while I was making my purchase, and we both believed the transaction went through. Little did I know, their system had an error and declined my card. Then a white lady stepped in. Instead of simply asking me to use the same card again, she immediately assumed my card was declined and asked if I had cash or another form of payment. The Asian lady re-ran the transaction, and it went through without any issue. The other employee assumed I didn't have money and made a huge scene. I should have taken down her name. I purchased a pair of pants, it was full of wrinkles. I returned the item to them. But the store sent me back. When I call them back. They transferred my call to someone overseas. Online the return policy states 30 days but in actuality it's 30 business days from the time they receive your return to a refund which is unacceptable in 2024 as that is an eternity. Beware before you buy anything online and try to return it. I know I will be shopping elsewhere simply based on this terrible return policy as other companies will refund you within 5 to 10 business days . read more

This my favorite store at one time I have to check them out every time when I am visiting San Francisco premium outlets. Unfortunately, the store is non-stop getting the worst every time when I come back! I can't found anything I wanna buy in this store anymore! The store still keeps very clean. This is the only reason they are not one star. The customer service also almost does not exist! They charge to your credit card if you want to buy something. That's it! We went there for evening attire for a specific event. The selection is OK. However, I will say that the pricing is fabulous! I definitely would recommend coming in here and taking a look around. You just never know when you might find a great deal! I will also say that I thought it was really great that one employee noticed that we had a line waiting for a fitting room. He came over and let us know that there were more fitting rooms, and that they were available. I think that's great that he was being proactive to help the customer out. read more

I have always found some tee shirts and polo shirts that I love and they were less expensive than any other place I've been to. Today I bought two shirts for $21 and supposedly saved $130 if someone was rich enough to buy them at full price. My other visits yielded similar good buys in the clearance section which is the only place I look at. The quality of these clothes are excellent and are my favorite items to wear. read more

I can handle shopping at a disorganized store. I had some fun finding clothes that I liked, but what I can't handle was the sales cashier's attitude! This black girl kept acting condescendingly by implying that I couldn't afford the clothes I was buying, just because I was asking how much this was. She didn't even give me the bag that I paid $0.10 for and just dumped my clothes on the counter (after I paid) and walked away. She went back to laughing with her coworkers. Consistently understaffed by a team that is not in sync with one another. The shelves are a mess here (because they are understaffed) and if you need help in any particular area there is likely no one within earshot who can assist you. They have a nice selection of jewelry in the cases but again you'll have to find someone who can open them for you to pull anything out. I found something I was interested in but there was no one to help me with it so I just got in line to pay, knowing there would be someone up there who could grab the small item once I was at the front of the line. There were about 6 people in front of me and one cashier. A supervisor saw the line and opened a second register, calling for more backup over the radio. She didn't seem to realize half her staff was on lunch and there wasn't anyone available to help ring at the registers. She was sweet and was able to checkout rather quickly once I got to the front of the line. The products they have are like diamonds in the rough but you will have to be patient if you really want something from here. This location is pretty large and actually has a ton of good products and designer brands at very decent prices. Not cheap mind you, but not as expensive as you might think. There is plenty to browse through and you might get stuck here for far longer than you had hoped. A pretty good Saks OFF 5th location, and ignore some of the naysayers. It's an outlet mall. Generally able to find what we're looking for as well as good deals. Good products at good pricing. The checkout line moves quite fast and overall we're in and out fairly quickly. The only constructive criticism I can give them is to fix the store lighting. It is depressing as heck when you walk in! As my girlfriends sister said, "it doesn't make me want to shop". I have NEVER been treated SO RUDELY in all my life UNTIL I came here!! I actually had some bimbo cashier with greasy blonde hair argue with me TRYING to convince me that she was being nice. This "woman" then proceeded to talk about me to another cashier but to only over exaggerate the whole conversation...at least I think that is what she was saying...I don't speak skank...so I am pretty much guessing here. As a shopper at Saks online, I was so happy to see an outlet opening in the Tri-Valley. Unfortunately much of their merchandise is inferior. I don't know where they get it, but a lot of it is nothing like the quality of the clothes I buy from the "real" Saks. I have to wonder if some of this stuff isn't just poor quality crap they've had made to sell to suckers who don't know what real quality looks like. Occasionally I'll find an actual designer's actual clothing here- but mostly, it's crap. And I have to agree about the rudeness. The cashiers are often incompetent as well. They don't seem to know basic things- like how to ring up their own store's discounts. If you buy things here, you'll need to watch out for damage. I don't know how long I spent looking for a particular shirt I wanted, but every one I picked up had picks, or holes. I much prefer Neiman's Last Call. The staff there seems better trained, and more polite. Also, I think the clothes there are actually from Neiman's- whereas I cannot say the same about Saks Off 5th. read more

This place is huge and has great selections of Purses and Shoes. Having said that, clearance item price s is still pretty high considering you're shopping at the outlet store. Customer service is a hit or miss. There were times when we couldn't get anyone to help us and other times had excellent service. Overall experience: Most items are over priced. Appearance of the store is kinda dim. It almost looks like it's a warehouse. Parking lot is always busy unless you get there before they open. Clothing areas are pretty organized but most of the time I don't see anything I like. Not my go to place to shop, but it's great when I do find something I like in the store. I started to avoid shopping at this Saks Outlet as it was terrible messy and disorganized. Two days ago I visited this outlet and stopped by at SaksOFF5th. The store is getting organized, especially in the woman department. Thank you to the employee that seems to organize everything - tops are sized and color coded- I love it!!! It is easy to shop in this way. I immediately found what I was looking for. One employee was organizing dresses - she went out of her way to help me finding a different size for a dress. Thank you! The store is ok! I come here a lot but the lighting inside os horrible especially in the shoe isle :( if the area had brighter lighting it would be sooooo much better! But every time i come here it can be hard to see. The selection of shoes is good though!! Now for the higher end brand shoes not alot of variety maybe 15-30 pairs and all sizes available are around 5-7 So if your size 8-9 harder to find a pair. They have alot of Stuart Weitzman, aquazzura & valentino so its ok. The bags are ok too they had burberry but the attachment straps where missing off most :( only one bag had one but the one that did didnt have the pouch. I will keep checking back to see if they get any more new brands of shoes buy all 15-20 times i come here during the year its mostly the same brands i mentioned read more

Store has big selection of bags and shoes, but check out took a long time as only three cashiers were open, which were staffed by older employees who seemed to have difficulty processing the transactions. I heard a couple of them say to other customers that they didn't know how to do certain transactions, including return an online purchase, which is something that you'd expect the staff to handle without problem. The line got longer and I waited 15 minutes to check out. One cashier, Alicia, was very rude and condescending as she lectured me about returning an obviously new and unused bag with the receipt that I had purchased only five days earlier as a gift. Some of the most expensive bags are tethered so you need to hunt down an employee to unlock them to just try on your arm. Even in an outlet store, signs should be accurate (i.e., if it says "Tops", you should find shirts and blouses hanging there, not pants and leather jackets.) If your racks have separators for size, it would be very nice if those sizes were indeed there. Not worth my time trying to find what I want in the size I need in that store read more

The store had a few nice things but wasn't worth going. The place is very unorganized, messy, and lights were dim too. The employees are rude and should consider finding better employees. Service is out of this world. I was given complete attention. Everyone was very friendly with me... it was soothing and comfortable. Store is very well put and organized too with a great selection and well-priced, and designer names. I always shop here because it always has the most trendy outfits and if they don't have your size, they will offer other options or means of availability. In particular, Irene, the manager was exceptional.... she went out of her way to find the products I was specifically looking for, and spent considerable time with me to offer other similar products that may kindle my interest (which it did). She is very friendly, and provides outstanding customer service... she should teach a class on customer service to other stores in the mall! I hope the company recognizes her and awards her because she makes me, and I'm sure other customers, feel well served and I am willing to come back especially if she's there. This is currently the newest, bright white, shiny location of Off 5th. This location is larger and much better organized with an easy to navigate layout, much nicer than either Petaluma or Milpitas. In my visits staff has been friendly and courteous without being intrusive. For a lot of items discounts may not be huge, but they usually offer coupons with additional discounts. As with any outlet shopping visits can be hit or miss, but at least here it's not migraine inducing to check out the racks. read more

Had ordered some shoes online from Saks Off 5th & decided to make an in-person return instead of wasting $10 in postage to send them back via mail......this was my closest location Super easy to get to & plenty of parking right in front The shop itself was pretty dirty & dark - just a white tile floor & white walls w/ dim lighting & lots & lots of racks of clothes & shoes a plenty. Most of the inventory I see at Saks Off 5th comes from styles that didn't sell on the "proper" Saks site - so the good thing about Saks Off 5th is that they are indeed an outlet store ( as we experienced outlet shoppers have discovered, some stores will say they are a certain brand but in reality they do not carry the same stock as their full-priced family... so props to Saks Off 5th! ) We didn't stick around for too long - just long enough to hand over my shoes but have to say they accepted the return w/ zero hassle & even informed me about a current sales promotion they were having Unfortunately, I wasn't in a treasure-hunting kind of mood & didn't feel the need to scour their racks for a possible deal But in terms of getting here & making returns, have to say this was a big A-OK! read more

No clue why they have bad reviews. Great prices. You can find Mezlan shoes I usually pay $600 or more for for $150-200. Great jeans selection, not the rush that the rack has. Clearance and sale selection is great as well. I love all the brands and styles. The could use help with getting customers out in a timelier manner but I can't complain with the great clothes I get and great prices. Keep up the great work! read more

Where do I start!...I don't even want to give them a star...I came here hoping for a shopping experience because it is Saks, boy was I wrong...let me start by I felt like employees there especially in the women's dept. acted like they did not want to work there!!...asking them questions about where things are they look at you like "really"...to top it off, I went up to the Mgr. to complain about her employee being rude, this Mgr. by the name of Arlene kept having a conversation with an employee while I stood there, after at least 2 min Finally I said excuse me, & she looked at me with a mean look, really...this Philippino women just had an attitude...I put the 3 pair of jeans & a Tory Burch purse I was going to buy...I am surprise that an upscale store would treat customers this way, I would rather go to SF & get treated way better!! read more

I had to write a review because of the great experience I had here after shopping at Saks off fifth for a year. This young girl seems fairly new, yet maintained the utmost professionalism and liveliness when helping me. She quickly found the matching shoe for my Manolo Blahnik heels and took the time to look in the system and find the correct price tag for the shoes (which ended up being cheaper - someone put the wrong price tag on the shoes?). I have been very unimpressed and at times irritated with employees at this store in the past but she was very welcoming and efficient. Very glad I spent $200 because of her great service alone. read more

OMG...the people who work here (especially the "older ones") are so rude. The scanning machine was broke and I waited in line to get a price check. When I asked her, she said the price is what's on the tag. I told her to scan it and the tag said "$78" but it rang up at $24.99. Then she made an excuse about it. She also complained that I had a return. I like the clothes there but they need to hire happier people. Maybe younger ones too since all the older ones seem lazy and pissed off all the time. Horrible, HORRIBLE customer service in general, ESPECIALLY by one of their floor managers and couple of their sales associates. Honestly, I don't want to give any stars, one star is too many. It seems that that particular floor manager talks and talks NON-STOP, doesn't even LISTEN and doesn't pay attention to what you're trying to say or ask, interrupts you all the time, and most of the time doesn't even answer your questions properly and completely (well, because she didn't pay attention to what you were trying to say or ask). Also make sure that when you put an item from their "Estate jewelry" on hold, that she doesn't simply remove it from your name and put it on her preferred customer's name (she WILL come up with a story why she did it, "Favoritism 101"). Thanks to Nancy Agostino, I was able to find a LeSportsac handbag that this store no longer had in stock as a gift for my mother, who fell in love with mine. Nancy spent nearly an hour doing the research and finding exactly what I wanted and having it shipped to me. Then UPS lost the package to my mother and I called Nancy and she found it again and is shipping it directly to my mother. She went over and above to help a customer; I was never a Saks Fifth Avenue customer before, but because of her service, I got a store card and will shop there regularly in the future. read more
