My wife and I love this restaurant, this our second visit, I had posted a review of our first visit, but it only commented on their chicken plates. This time we thought we would try their sushi. We ordered the Citris Roll, that has crab, avocado, and cucumber in the inside, and the outside was salmon, avocado, and citrus flying fish eggs. No imitation crab! It was delicious. You have to try it. The roll is larger than what we have had at other restaurants, so if you are not very proficient with chop sticks, then you will need a fork. The favor of this roll is different, the crab is not imitation, the cucumbers were crunchy, and the salmon was excellent, it melted in our mouths. We also ordered the Rainbow rolls, it is a combination of assorted fish on the outside, and the inside is standard, crab, cucumber and avocado. It, also, was nicely prepared and equally delicious. Alongside the rolls we order their beef teriyaki plate this time. We substituted the tempura for a salad. The plate was presented in a bento box, this compartmentalized the servings, the beef was not as tender as we would have liked but even the best sushi restaurants cannot always live up to tender beef. The rice was fluffy, salad was crisp and cool, the miso soup is awesome. The service has been excellent each time we have visited. The restuarant is quiet and clean. As are their restrooms. Not bad for a small fast casual restaurant.

Our go-to sushi spot in the area! They have extremely friendly service and they offer some great lunch and happy hour specials. The lunch specials include a serving of soup and salad, both very flavorful. They have huge portions so the half rolls are perfect sized, but regular rolls are great for table sharing. If you don't see something on the menu, just ask and they are happy to assist. I love the attention to detail and they way they plate the rolls, such a special touch.

This was my first time visiting this establishment, and I was pleasantly surprised. My sister and I were warmly greeted as soon as we walked in, which made us feel welcome right away. We hadn't planned on dining in, but when I saw the sushi sign, I suddenly started craving it -- so we decided to give the place a try. It's conveniently located right next to Stater Bros., which makes it an easy stop. They offer lunch specials during certain hours, and for dinner, they also have a separate deal featuring two specialty rolls for $32. I thought the rolls might be on the smaller side, but they were actually large and came with 10 pieces each. Great flavor and presentation, too! The prices are reasonable for the quality and portion sizes, and the staff was very friendly. The interior was clean and nicely set up, creating a pleasant dining atmosphere. I'll definitely be coming back!

Wow! This has to be one of the best sushi spots in the area. Located in a little spot near the Stater Bros, with ambient lighting. I placed a pickup order on a whim because I was in the area, so I did not have a dine in experience. I ordered the lunch special, 2 half rolls for about $20 and it came with miso soup and a salad! The rolls were HUGE and delicious. The fish was super fresh as well. The workers also seemed very sweet from the little interaction that I had. I'm itching to go back and eat there for a full experience!

Don't Know roll and Hot NIGHT roll to go

We wanted something quick and light to eat. I ordered the Don't Know and the Hot NIGHT rolls. Total was about $35ish. Took 15 min and when we got home, the sushi was plated beautifully and they were a decent size. The sauces were in their own container. We enjoyed it all. I looked forward to dining at their establishment next time. Ordering was quick and easy, the person who took my order was kind.

My wife & I were in the area and we both developed a craving for Japanese cuisine. There were 2 Japanese restaurants in the area. However, we chose Sake Sushi due to their great reviews. We ordered a Dragon Roll, an order of Saba Sushi and a lunch plate with Teriyaki beef & deep fried calamari. The lunch plate included a small salad and miso soup. Normally I can finish a whole Dragon roll in one sitting but Sake Sushi is serving up Ginormous rolls! The Unagi was grilled perfectly and the Saba were so fresh, it was sweet! Domo Arigato! The calamari was crunchy on the outside and tender in the inside. The beef was tender as well, with lots of flavor. Highly recommend trying Sake Sushi, if you've never been. In the end, we left with full bellies and a craving for more. Sake Sushi, you've won our hearts (and taste buds).

The food is always fast, the servers are always very kind. The value is insane! The dinner or lunch specials come with so much food and every roll is so delicious and absolutely massive. The half rolls might as well be full rolls with how large they are. Absolutely love this place and leave happy every time.

Our appetizer, Shrimp tempura, was really good. Light and crispy, It could be my imagination but, I could taste a little "Sake" which, is a great thing. I mean, what's the name of this restaurant?? My wife liked her dinner combo of garlic chicken and California roll (which is her favorite roll) I absolutely recommend the Chirashi bowl. Of course, not only a great selection of fresh fish but, it's the rice, the rice is sooo good! In fact, I ordered a bowl to go, too :) I personally would stick to ordering the fresh items on the menu and the specials of the day.

This place is your one stop sushi place for hospitality, presentation and a party for your taste buds. I'm in love with this place. They just opened last Thursday and they've already won me over. We sat at the bar and talked with Andy a little bit. (The owner/cook) He is very talented and humble. The best part of our visit was a surprise treat to genuine wasabi -Much better than the horseradish-based "wasabi" majority or sushi places serve. I am very pleased with everything here. Wow! I'd go there again. It's a little on the pricey side but comparable with its nearby competitors. Our 4 rolls, udon soup, and spicy garlic edamame were all very good. Flavorful, not too salty which is a great sign of freshness and quality. Their sauces were all on point. The amount of fish in a given roll, especially if you get rice free rolls like the "MILF" is amazing. Like literally two rolls worth of fish compared to some other sushi restaurants. A+ food, and we'll be heading back over for the lunch menu prices! read more

This has to be my favorite sushi in this area. Probably in all of Southern California. Just a small little place with big flavor. The staff is great. So many great rolls. My favorites are the coconut shrimp roll, super Mexican, and cloud 9. Fish is fresh and they have a great lunch special. read more

Awful absolutely awful!! My stomach was hurting the minute I stepped out of this place. The manger is so rude and is very selfish. You can tell he doesn't care about his employees at all! He yelled at one of his employees and called her dumb right in front of my husband and I. He also hires people without food handler cards! This place is disgusting I never see the sushi chiefs wash there hands. Place smells awful as-well do not come here! read more

Amazing, fresh sushi, and huge portions for the price! I love their variety of menu items, my favorites being the Hawaiian, citrus, and rainbow roll, and their seaweed salad because it tastes super fresh and doesn't come out half frozen like other places I've tried in the area. The staff is always so kind to me every time I order from here, and willing to accommodate anything I ask for on the side or extra. This has been my new go-to sushi spot the last couple months, and I don't want this place to go under because of COVID. Order from here! read more

Amazing rolls, there is something for everyone. Some of my favorite rolls are citrus, shooting star, ninja, spanish and lobster volcano (cooked). I don't care for cream cheese in my rolls but my child loves their super Philadelphia roll. Those are all on their 2/$22. Another one that's great if you like spicy is their bluefin tuna roll not apart of their deal but is delicious. Calling in and pick up is always a smooth process. We've had their spicy salmon and tuna hand rolls and they are always overflowing with fish. Definitely recommend this place. read more

Best sushi I've had in IE. Sushi chefs were super friendly, they had my son try a variety of fish, what a site to see your 5 yr old eat uni and eel. Better sushi than Hana Sushi. Hana's atmosphere is a little more upscale but as far as taste/flavor Sake Sushi is a better. Sake also beats out Tomi Sushi and is pretty close to Rolling Moon Sushi. Bomb shrimp tempura, tempura veggies, bomb rolls, everything I ordered was delish!! Try the tiger rolls they do not disappoint. read more

Definitely a hidden gem! This is my go-to place for sushi, and I go about once a month with my boyfriend. They have amazing lunch specials, where you can get a two-item or three-item combo, which you can get as bento boxes, or for their sushi rolls, you can get two or three different half rolls. Lunch combinations come with miso soup and the house salad. They have a lot of different rolls, some where you can't find anywhere else, and some classics. Fish is fresh and melt-in-your mouth delicious, and their portions are amazing. Great quality and pricing. 10/10 recommend! read more

Been to this place twice already but only for take out but I would have to say both times the person who answered the phone was very knowledgeable and attentive when I was asking about the different rolls. Food here is good. Fish is fresh and the food is ready in a timely manner. They also have good lunch deals. Their 3/16.99 lunch deal (but they're smaller rolls). Or 2/$22 (regular sized roll). We tried the shooting star and the Citrus. Shooting star was packed with flavor but I really liked the Citrus. It's a very refreshing kind of roll. I have yet to try their dine in maybe next time I'm in the area. read more

I had such a lovely evening here yesterday. I had a huge craving for sushi and I have been in search of fresh, delicious sushi and that's exactly what this place offers! I am a massive yellowtail sashimi fan and they have the best yellowtail of any place I've tried so far! It's fresh, tender and melts in your mouth. The octopus was fresh and tasty and nothing had that undesirable fishy flavor we all dread. I also tried their soft shell crab which was yummy and crunchy. And their lovely sushi chef also gave me a little lettuce cup treat filled with yummy fish and roe with a dressing that was to die for. I enjoyed two of their small hot sakes & some mixed veg and shrimp tempura and if I had any room inside of me I would've devoured the whole menu. I genuinely wasn't even breathing between bites I was a human black hole taking in all things put in my radius lol. Definitely will be one of my new spots. Even when they had a 12 top walk in, their waitress was still attentive and handled every single table with grace and attention to detail! Definitely recommend! I tried this place for the first time last night and placed my order through Postmates. First off, the rolls are huge! They give you a generous amount of fish and each piece is huge. The sushi itself was really good and fresh tasting. I will definitely order again. The reason I took off a star though was how they packaged the food. I ordered three rolls; two cold and one hot. They packaged a cold roll in the same to-go box as my hot roll and then placed the other cold roll in its own box. Hot and cold sushi are not supposed to be packaged together. This is my only complaint and I hope they see this as it kinda ruins the cold roll by the time you get it because the heat from the other roll makes the fish taste different. Anyways, If I do take out again I will probably specify how I would like it packaged, I just thought in the sushi industry they would have known this already. read more

Danger! Don't eat here if you're pregnant! I have been craving sushi and came here for the first time. I immediately told the waitress that I was pregnant and cannot have any raw fish at all!!! So she recommended few rolls for us. I tripled check with her, that the rolls are cooked thoroughly and explained the danger of eating raw sushi while pregnant and she said "yes! It's all cooked". When we got out order, the spicy tuna on all the rolls was raw!!! I immediately noticed and called her attention! She did not apologize for her mistake, she took the food away and then came back and had the audacity to say "you can choose something else with no extra charge". I was like yeah duhhhhh, it was her mistake that could've caused danger to me and my baby!! She didn't even offer to leave the food for my husband to eat or anything. It was terrible! She gave me such limited options that we ended up just getting one roll and left. I truly don't recommend this place. I also noticed the couple next to us left almost 75% of their sushi untouched so I don't know how good their food is anyway. Not sure what the waitress name is, but she needs to be better trained or fired for her poor service and lack of knowledge. This wasn't just a mistake, if I wasn't vigilant and trusted her knowledge of the menu, something dangerous may have happened. The owner needs to be careful of law suits read more

Waited a minimum of 1 hour to be seated, to then wait another 1 in a half to almost 2 hours for the food. Both waiters never acknowledged us to checknon during the wait, we had to grab our own refills, had to ask for our own silver wear, we had to continue to request for service. On top of that, ppl came after us and got served before us, and left before us...totally regretted that we didn't walk out. Never again read more

This place is in the same shopping plaza as Stater Bros. The food is absolutely fabulous (love the rolls and sashimi) and they serve super generous portions. Ask for any specials they have, some of the fish are seasonal and definitely worth trying. Andy the head sushi chef, will make or customize anything if you just ask!! The staff are all friendly and super knowledgable about all the plates. My favorite sushi spot! read more

Picking up a phone order, waited over an hour. Three people with phone orders in line ahead of me, all waiting patiently for at least fifteen minutes for each of them to finally get their food, then some older lady felt it was ok to cut me in line to pay for her bill! Since moving to the IE from OC about 3 years ago.. this is the best place I've tried! I got the lunch special and paid cash so total came to only $16 for two rolls, miso soup and a salad. Potions were large and I was more than full after only one roll. Amazing fresh sushi! Great price love it. read more

Love this place, the staff is great and they have great deals. Usually if I come with the family (2 young kids) my husband and I just get some rolls that are on their daily specials. When we come for date night then we go all out and get a sashimi platter and some apps. So happy they have blue fin tuna at a reasonable price. read more

This is without question some of the finest sushi I've ever had. The rolls are very original and everything I've ever tried is great. Superb value, and I've never been disappointed. I was super excited to try this place after reading the reviews. I was sadly disappointed. The food was good, or so I thought, until my husband got sick later that night. The service was awful and I'm usually pretty tolerant and understanding or everyone being short staffed. We asked for a box and the check. The girl forgot about us and was behind the counter eating in open view. No one came by to check on use for quite some time even though we were sitting there and had finished eating a while ago. I'm not sure if it was manager or head chef behind the counter making rolls and had had two beers while on the job in the 2 hours we were there. He was more interested in having fun then providing good service. Sadly we won't be back. read more

We had a variety of different dishes that include, jellyfish, yellowtail toro, oyster shooters, monkfish liver, live sweet shrimp, yellowtail Kama, the best fresh wasabi ever! Awful service. Waited 10 mins and still no one came to offer water and ask if we wanted appetizers. Then we notice a party of four came in and right away, the waiter went ahead and took their orders. I kept waiting to give them a chance to assist us after they took their order but nope. They either forgot about us or purposely ignoring us so we went ahead and left. This is coming from someone that has 6years of experience as a waitress, part of that working in a sushi restaurant. The staff was very unkind to my mother for having a gluten allergy. They stated that she cannot have the rice because of having gluten in it?? My mom react to the soy sauce, we have not had a problem with the sushi rice from this location. The tone that the first male server gave was giving "this is an inconvenience" so by stating the rice claim, almost to get us to leave all together. Then he says he will have all the rolls not have any sauce on top which was nice of him to offer. Then we had female waitress, Kelly, who we tried to ask a a question as she was passing. I watched her sit a table, clean a table, place a check before coming back to answer our question. (All I understand) until she walks by our table and pretends not to look at us. So I have to stop her again because one of the roles had a sauce on top. So I asked her if the sauce had gluten in it. Again. (2nd time I asked this question from her passing by twice) she acted as if this was a new question, and was trying to walk away. She assured the sauce does have gluten. So I told her that we already explained to the male sever that we cannot have gluten in the sauces. We kept that roll for the gluten people and order another roll for my mom to eat. She then asks us for another round of tea and brings us a teapot of just hot water.... Overall, I cannot stand when servers make you feel like an inconvenience. The Hana sushi staff by chaparral on Winchester is MUCH FRIENDLIER we are regulars to both locations. After this encounter, we all agreed we will make it a point to only go to the Winchester location as they are very kind and attentive to my mother's allergies.

So far, I haven't found it. Typically I order Bento Box Combinations, and sometimes specialty rolls. Sushi is a matter of personal taste, and I gave Yoshiharu Ramen a three overall for "OKAY". Don't get me wrong, I ate everything they served me, and it was all right. It just didn't WOW me. The restaurant is clean and looks nice. The service was good and my food was okay. There were a few minor things that annoyed me, but isn't it the little things that differentiate places that are great versus ones that are just good or okay? I ordered a diet coke, and they had no diet available. The miso soup (not pictured) that came with the meal was piping hot, but the flavor was not as good as others I have had. When they brought my chicken bento box, which included California Roll, there was no wasabi or ginger. I had to ask the waitress for wasabi, and then she said, "You want wasabi?" as if that was something unusual. Finally, my favorite sushi places have a list of items to choose from for their bento box. They may list 8 or 10 items and ask you to pick 2 or 3. At my other places I might choose, chicken and beef and a spicy tuna roll (vs California roll). Then you get those plus the soup, salad, etc. At Yoshiharu Ramen, it is a set list of items. You only get to pick a meat in the bento box (chicken, beef, pork, shrimp, etc.) Their other sushi or ramen may be terrific. So if you are nearby and want sushi or ramen, don't let me dissuade you. The reason I take the time to write a detailed review is so readers can understand MY criteria and why for me, this restaurant is okay, just not a 4 or 5 on my chart.

I love sushi and try different places to find great sushi in town. I have heard this restaurant from my friends and so my boyfriend and I went to this place today for lunch and thought of ordering all you can eat sushi since we haven't had anything since we woke up today. We thought they have all you can eat sushi but they don't offer that. So we decided to order from lunch menu and regular menu. We tried all the stuff we ordered: tiger rolls, 50/50, sashimi, just to name the few. The food presentation were great and the service too! But then until after couple of hours later, both my boyfriend and I had to go to the restroom several times...I don't know what were on those sushi but our stomach didn't settle the food we ate there. 3 because of the service and the presentation but not the food. read more

I was very impressed by the creativity and hefty portion sizes of their rolls, which veers on almost two rolls in one (You will NOT be able to find portion sizes of this generosity in the city, desafortunadamente). I was so stuffed before I even finished half of our first roll! We ordered the rainbow and protein roll. I especially enjoyed the protein roll because it was so beautiful to look at and even more delicious to eat. There's a bit of the tempura crunch at the end, very fresh albacore fish inside. We recently dined at Sake Sushi, and it was an outstanding experience! From the moment we walked in, our server was attentive and all around great, making sure we had everything we needed. The portion size for the lunch special was very fair, and I truly appreciated the cash discount offered. This little perk made our visit even more enjoyable. I asked for some nice Japanese music, which would make the place perfect, and some snippy waitress told me the customers like the music.. not so.. she might, but the customers don't.. go only if you are hard of hearing. This is one of my favorite sushi places in the riverside county. I would eat here more often if it was closer to me! The sashimi is always super fresh!
