Sake Haus is absolutely amazing and has become my friend groups go to spot for happy hour downtown phx. Nicole was our server, and she was absolutely fantastic! She gave great food and sake recs and made the whole experience even better. I ordered the 808 Roll along with a few others, and every roll was incredibly fresh, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. The quality of the fish is great. Highly recommend if you're looking for great sushi, drinks, and excellent service!

The ambience here is incredible and the food was genuinely excellent. The space alone makes you want to come back. That said, the service didn't match the experience. Our server (female, thick square glasses) came off pretty rude and inattentive throughout most of the night. The only time the energy really shifted was when the bill came, which felt a bit disappointing. It was also noticeable that her demeanor toward us felt different compared to other tables. Not sure why, but it did affect the overall experience. I'd still recommend this place for the food and atmosphere, but I do hope the service becomes more consistent.

Incredible! Nicole was a phenomenal waiter who made us feel so welcome! The rest of the staff was so kind and attentive as well. the KITSUNE was one of the best things I've tasted.

I have nothing but great things to say about Sake Haus. The fish is extremely fresh, service was attentive on a Sunday night, and the chefs truly know the art of sushi making. I love the very traditional, raw, and small menu. In my experience, that means everything is amazing. And truly, it was. This was the best omakase experience I've ever had. I do wish there was a 10-15 piece option, but everything was so good, ordering twice and a la carte worked just as well. The miso soup was also amazing with the coconut milk and mushrooms added It is a small, intimate restaurant with outdoor seating, so don't bring a big party, but perfect for date night. I will definitely return next time I am in Phoenix and try more of the menu. I'm currently craving it and wish I could go back now

Impeccable vibes at Sake Haus during a recent visit to Phoenix last weekend. The final night of my visit to Scottsdale ended with an overnight in downtown Phoenix. Nested right in the Roosevelt Row district Sake Haus' high reviews caught my eye. Split between a sushi bar and full bar with cozy restaurant seating, vibey red lighting and a cool art mural made for the perfect early dinner following Sunday funday. Music was very on point as well. Very straight forward sushi/nigiri menu, with unlimited Japanese whiskeys and drink options, SH definitely hit the mark. I had the seared scallop and salmon nigiri to start and the bad and buri rolls. The bartender shared all dishes came pre dressed which made for flavorful bites and no need for soy or wasabi. The yellow tail 2 ways on the bad and buri with agauchile sauce on top made for an awesome bite. Paired with the Black Sakura old fashioned, easily the best prepared and balanced cocktail I had all weekend. This team knows what they're doing. Run don't walk to Sake Haus if yourself in the Phoenix area! I'll be back for sure!

I came by myself on a friday evening by rexcomendation of my bartender at Matched in my hotel, and quickly got seated at the bar top in back. The atmosphere in back is dim lighting and fun music. The bartender was super knowledgeable about the food menu and drinks. While their selection of food isnt wide what they do have is phenomenal. I got the Scallop nigiri the miso one was my favorite but the seared one was also yummy. The I got the gold omakase which is in the photo, All of them were amazing and it was great because some of the fish I has never tried before. The drink was also really good but I forgot what it was called.

Went here for HH after working at the coffee shop next door. I sat at the bar and service was great! The inside was dim lit and nicely decorated. The handrolls were stacked and probably my favorite. The nigiri pieces were pretty big. The specialty ones had accoutrements on top although I honestly prefered the basic ones. The sushi overall was pretty good. The HH prices were great, I'd definitely come again.

Started out our Friday night here and from the moment we walked up to the host stand the service was impeccable. The host was so nice and communicative. She sad our party of 5 and our server greeted us with the same amazing attitude. Food was very yummy and fresh and had a cute lil restaurant vibe. We got a bunch of appetizers to split and a few drinks and it was the perfect way to start the night!

Came here after a baseball game and was seated immediately and the vibe was so welcoming. We have never been and the reviews looked so good. Glad we tried it. We got seated in the back and ordered some drinks and food. The host explained all the specials of the day and her recommendations. Great sushi spot in Roosevelt row. They have a nice small outdoor patio and a cool seating area inside, especially further in the back. Greta cocktails and sushi rolls too. Shoutout to the servers they're are so helpful.

Very good, only sad thing is that they were out of our first picks for food (ran out of certain types of fish). The alternative recommendations our server gave were good though! The akuma was amazing!

Had such a great experience at Sake Haus. Megan was our server and she was amazing -- super friendly, attentive, and really knew the menu. GM Sydney also stopped by to check on us, which was such a nice touch and shows how much they care about service. Food and drinks were great as always, but the hospitality really stood out this visit. Shoutout to Megan and Sydney for making our night. We'll definitely be back!

Most of the lower set tables were taken so the rez came in handy. Ample bar seating available however. Greeted right away by server and offered drink menus. Both the drinks were phenomenal. I originally wanted the Asahi but they were out of it so they gave me a Japanese Lager from Los Angeles (?), blanking on the name. The Caipirinia was the other drink which was made authentically as well. No complaints on the bartender. Food was 3 Bao Buns and a Chow Mein entree with grilled chicken added on top. This was the perfect amount of food for 2 people. The Bao Buns were extremely soft and light on the breading. If you get them from Din Tai Fung they tend to be dough heavy. These were NOT like that. Chicken and Eggplant buns were tasty and had a light kick to them. Noodles were probably the weakest items, I prefer the rice/flat noodles, but these were normal chow mein noodles. But I had to split the dish with my dining companion who enjoyed the noodles quite a bit. I'd go with Udon or Flat Noodles next time and ask them to add chili flakes. No room for dessert but it sounded delicious, something with bananas. Mhmmm!

There were still about 4 groups still in the restaurant, but was mainly open. I could see this place getting busy during the weekends though, so recommend a res if you're here during peak hours. We started with cold sake and a couple of cocktails. Super cute and yummy drinks, creative and complimented the overall theme. The Asahi beer was huge and came with an ice cold glass, perfect! We got the orange chicken and drunken noodles with added chicken breast. The food was fresh and tasty. I liked that the orange chicken came with rice, and was not overly breaded. The drunken noodles were pretty salty but overall good. These two entrees were enough for two people to take a little bit of leftovers home. Recommend for a nice date night or if looking for some Asian fusion. We'll be back!

We were nearby for a show, and decided to stop in on a Wednesday evening for a late dinner with some friends. They have a good happy hour menu, and my friends ordered off there, but I was craving sushi so I got the nigiri omakase. It came with miso soup, which I enjoyed, definitely hard to go wrong there. The sushi itself was decent, nothing crazy, but definitely better than grocery store quality. The tuna and salmon pieces were a little fishy, maybe not the freshest, but it was also quite late (~10pm) so I wasn't expecting too much. Beautifully presented, and the cuts were quite large which was nice! The food came out pretty fast, and the service was pleasant. The restaurant vibes are pretty dark, and moody. The bathroom was kind of scary personally, super dark and a little messy, so I decided to wait till I got home. Overall, a solid experience, and definitely a good choice if I am in the area.

The appetizer was amazing, we each got the crispy rice and I love that each one was a different fish and slightly different flavor. I don't remember which roll we got, I think it was the blue dragon one, but that was delicious, good amount of rice and fish and great flavor. The truffle rib pasta was good as well, the short ribs were cooked perfectly and the flavor on that was insane. I do wish that they would've tossed the pasta in the same sauce the rib came in before adding it to the red pasta sauce. The pasta sauce itself lacked flavor and just tasted like blended down tomatoes. If the pasta had a scoop of the rib sauce too, that would be absolutely insane!! For dessert we didn't have a choice and it was just the miso caramel cheesecake. Now that is some of the best cheesecake I've had in an incredibly long time. I don't taste the miso flavor in the caramel besides the salty sweetness of it but that combo was perfect, especially with the homemade candied pecans. I don't know if the cheesecake was left out or purposefully like that but I love how when the cheesecake was served it wasn't cold! Usually cheesecake is served really cold and kind of like a cream cheese brick you have to cut into it with your fork. But this was barely chilled so the cheesecake was not super cold and it just melts in your mouth. It's so smooth, best dish of the night hands down. This place was very nice and great location. Everything is clean and a great ambience. There's a bar you can sit at when you walk in before you go to the tables. I do think that every side smaller table should automatically have the table lamp for light because it was just too dark to see the menu from my perspective. It looks like great lighting in the pictures because the phone took it in night mode and corrected the lighting but... it's a bit dark and I saw that they do have those modern battery table lamps so I think every table against the wall should have it. Now onto why it's only 4 stars. The service was so beyond incredibly slow. I kid you not we waited 35min at least before our first dish was served and it wasn't even the appetizer, it was the entree rib pasta. You could tell just how short staffed they were and you could hear that there's only 1 sushi chef 1 regular chef and that's it for the kitchen. I don't know who is managing the shift schedule, maybe it's because we came on Memorial Day, but this type of service is not acceptable. I don't take this on the employees at all. They were so incredibly nice and apologetic and doing the best they can and even the front of house was now bussing tables to help out!!! Because they're so busy, I had to keep reminding different waiters for small things like ginger for my sushi 3x, refill on my water, and he almost said we're good to go without paying the check but we didn't even receive our cheesecake dessert yet OR paid the bill. In total it took us 2 hours from sitting down, ordering within 5min, and waiting and waiting and waiting to eat... inexcusable on management
