Re-opened and better than ever. Entrance is on the street side of PCH rather than the corner. New, well trained staff and security. Over the years, I've seen a number of great bands here. Definitely a fun place to go with friends or a date night. No food served at least as far as I know. Recommend rideshare or carpool as parking is tight.

This was my first visit to Hermosa Beach, Saint Rocke certainly made me feel welcome. Saint Rocke - you guys certainly Rocke-d First time in Hermosa Beach and I could not have had a better experience. Saint Rocke a little nugget, nestled in Hermosa Beach at 2nd street. I was here to film for "The Clowns" I arrived and parked my car on the rear parking lot at Saint Rocke, limited parking but seems if you know the area. All is good on parking. I entered the building annoyed, I mean introduced myself to Blake the sound fury for Saint Rocke as I wanted to clarify where to stand and if I can snag a feed from his sound desk. Blake said sure I got you and even gave me an XLR. I put mine away, less trouble later for packing up. I caught the sound check and was introduced by The Clowns to two of their new songs. Nice one. Saint Rocke has an earthly warming atmosphere and for the size of the venue it suits and you can see they take pride and care in allowing patrons to have a rocking experience. Sound was on point THANKS Blake To wrap this up, would recommend the location to all solely on no drama, inviting location. Staff at the bar and Blake on Sound the management should give a pat on the back.... Stated a wee bit for "Punk Rock Karaoke" as I've got work in the morning and about 45 minute drive. A wee bit of "scran" on my way home, Overall Thanks for having me and for a great night "oot"

I love LOVE Saint Rocke SOOO much. The drinks are great and priced well. They even have free water stations to keep yourself hydrated while drinking the harder stuff. The atmosphere is always fun. Great bands/music. Never any issues with service or fellow patrons (knock on wood). The ONLY negative is the limited parking at the actual venue itself, it's so small and attached with a fee. There is parking on the streets but if you don't get there early to scope one out you're going to have to walk a bit to get to the venue. But in my opinion it's worth it.

I met my Wife here back in July 2014 when the place was fun and the service was good. Seeing that they reopened the venue, it was much smaller inside from what I remembered. I booked a table for 2 in advance for $100 bar minimum. Ok that's fine. When we got there and found our table, we had to get our own drinks (no server). The mix drinks were very weak, a splash of Jack, all coke. I ordered a bourbon on the rocks and they charged me 4 bucks extra for the ice. Damn really? It wasn't a molded ice block in a fancy glass. , it was from a bag of ice. After the show, I went to pay my tab and saw that the lady added a "Large Party Tax" at 20% to our bill... we weren't a large party and I had to get up and get our own drinks. Talk about price gouging. I was planning to return for future shows but I will pass and take my business to other venues. I don't recommend this place.

Any info you can give on Parking?

Is it worth upgrading to the tables instead of the general admission?

Not sure. But they do have a minimum for food and beverage when booking a table. Usually around $150.00 dollars.

    Whats the capacity limit?

I would say a few hundred (200) you can email them and they will get back to you

Can I buy tickets at the door?

Depends on the show. You should call first and double check to see if the show is sold out. I've always got mine in advance .

If you are looking for a restaurant with a large menu, you will be disappointed. Sure, portions of La La Land were filmed here, and they have some movie memorabilia in the back of the place but they offer far more than jazz here, if that is your impression. There is rock, reggae, salsa, lots of tribute bands, and other stuff. While this may have once been purely a jazz club, I am certain the market simply won't carry (most) strictly jazz places for very long. Based on one photo I saw on the wall, this place has been around for about 76 years. That is impressive. For jazz aficionados, they offer a three hour Sunday jazz brunch (and this is the only time when folks under 21 can enter, by the way). For brunch, there are only four food items available on the menu: a breakfast burrito, avocado toast, one pancake (singular, not plural) and bacon, sausage, and eggs. Remember, you are here for the music, not the food. As for the food, my breakfast burrito was interesting. Knowing restaurants in California, it was probably cooked by a Latino gentleman but this looked like th emost Caucasian burrito of all time. It had chorizo, eggs, potatoes, and other stuff in it, and the tortilla had a nice cheesy skirt on it. It was also on the spicier side, which I enjoyed, but fair warning. I wasn't sure I was going to like it by its looks but I ate the whole thing. It was also a belly bomb and kept me satisfied for about 6 or 7 hours afterward. The avocado toast was actually very good and made with good quality bread. I thought the music was excellent. The members of the band (the John Kithcart Quartert) played their assess off and really seemed to enjoy themselves. True jazz (not that soft elevator music gunk) was popular at one time but let's face it, it is not popular anymore. Jazz certainly can be enjoyed as background music while you enjoy your one pancake but it is certainly not intended to be enjoyed that way. To fully appreciate it, you have to pay attention to it. That doesn't seem too much of an ask. After all, it is the folks on the stage who are doing the hard work. Our server was very good. She was friendly and attentive. My only experience here is with the Sunday jazz brunch so I cannot speak for the venue at any other times. At least for the Sunday brunch, whether you like jazz or not, this place is well worth a try.

We met MIKE one of the founders of the club in the parking lot earlier in the evening, I had forgotten my tickets at home and couldn't find them on my phone. MIKE made sure that the front receptionist would accommodate us. It was wonderful. At the conclusion of the evening as we were driving home, my phone rang. It was the comedy club calling to let us know that one in my party had left her sweater on the chair. Did we want to come back to get it? We told them to just give it to someone who needed it because we were about to get on the freeway at that point. What a wonderful surprise that they took the care and initiative to figure out who was sitting at that table and to reach out to us, that's service ! I recommend this comedy club wholeheartedly. The ambiance was great and it was a really nice spot in front of the Pier. We sat outside since it was good weather, I didn't account for the afternoon chill though once the sunset. Good thing to keep in mind when choosing outside or inside. The inside was really pretty (saw this on my way to the restroom later) so I wish I would have chosen to sit inside. Now for the food, this was really the only let down. The guacamole and chips were started with was okay, slightly bland in flavor. I got the fish tacos, my husband got the Chipotle Pollo y Hongos (listed as a house specialty), got a taco and nacho plate for my kids off the kids menu. The rice was like a green rice, super bland and dry and this came on both of the adult plates. The red rice that came with the kids food was actually better. The refried beans tasted like something that came out of a can, dry as heck and again, bland. Fish tacos were meh, fish was fishy and the slaw it comes with did not have the flavor I am usually looking for when I think fish tacos. My husband's chicken was yummy, and I wished I had gotten that instead. Only con was the dry rice and beans it comes paired with. Maybe my biggest gripe was the food not tasting authentic at all, and this Mexican girl loves her Mexican food, or maybe I just got the wrong plates. In my experience, if the basics are wrong (rice and beans) the rest has little hope. However, I must say that Dessert was amazing, I got some kind of yummy ice cream (maybe the Helado Frito?) to blow out my birthday candle. It was the silver lining for sure :) Service was great, and they were very accommodating. I felt bad telling them I hated the food but I wanted to write an honest review for those, like myself, who rely on reviews when choosing a good dinner spot.
