They say you never forget your first time and this sure was the case for my first experience here! I had my eye on a couple purses for a long time and decided to pull the plug and just go for it one day. I requested availability for the medium envelope tri quilt and by the following morning Sarah reached out to let me know they had it in stock. Despite their policy to hold inventory for only 48 hours, she was more than happy to hold it for 4 days as I didn't have an opportunity to come any sooner to the store. I ended up placing another hold for the lou camera bag as well and found myself inside the store that same day to pick them up. If you're a veteran in luxury shopping then you'll know that texting your sales associate and making sure the products are in stock come as second nature for them. After all, they WANT you to purchase them. When I got to the store, I immediately tried them on at one of the floor to ceiling mirrors and made the big purchase! I'm not sure if they still offer refreshments due to the pandemic, but I also didn't care too much if they didn't. Overall, I was very happy with my experience here and Sarah definitely didn't push me too hard by trying to sell other products in the store which I greatly appreciate. She had a very friendly attitude that made you feel like you were best friends for a long time even though you had just met. This will not be my last time at Saint Laurent, but I do hope every time thereafter is as great as the first! (38/100--2021)

I've always walked past Saint Laurent and it used to not have a lot of people in it, prior to the current situation. Ever since South Coast reopened with social distancing enforced, there have been a higher volume of customers stopping in, sometimes garnering a long line that spills into the corridor between the shops. I was curious to stop in during a quick trip to grab a last minute holiday gift for a friend and stood in line. It is located on the second floor of the main building of South Coast, across from the La Perla and Balenciaga boutiques. There are plenty of parking options from flat lots to structures that one can choose from. The store is one of the smaller boutiques in the mall and the staff were doing the best they could to social distance and limit the number of customers inside. Everyone was wearing a mask inside and all customers were required to wear them too. Once I got inside, I was paired up with a female clerk who asked if I was looking for something in particular. I asked if they had any new or current season skirts in denim, as I loved the style of previous seasons I've seen. (I never pulled the trigger though and regretted missing out on one I found at Last Call years ago.) The gal was kind to check inventory and said there wasn't anything like that at this time. I did browse the shop and found a leather skirt and cropped Le Smoking jacket to try on, and the clerk brought me to their hidden mirrors dressing room. The skirt was way too small, but the jacket looked nice. The underarm area was too snug unfortunately and both pieces did not have stock in larger sizes that I could try on. That is one drawback about the smaller footprint - they do not always have stock in the larger sizes for trying on, but depending on who you work with, they may offer to help check stock for other locations and see if they can order it for you. While my clerk was friendly, I did feel pressured to accept the jacket in the size I tried on if I bought it. When I tried to explain that I felt restrained moving my arms comfortably, she insisted that all of the SL jackets, including the staff uniform ones for ladies and men, have that issue. (Which is due to how they were set into the body of the jacket.) She pointed out that the larger size would lose the purpose of achieving the cropped look intended and that the shoulders on the current one were nearly perfect for my frame, in addition to the sleeve length. While it is true that a larger size would look less cropped on me, it doesn't make a lot of sense to spend thousands on a jacket that doesn't fit perfectly and restricts my range of movement. I did take her card for the future in case I do see something else I may be interested in. But I feel this shop needs to work on offering at least a unit of the larger sizes, as well as educating everyone on how a jacket should fit without making the wearer uncomfortable.

I'm not really the type thats into luxury goods, but one brand that I do like is definitely Saint Laurent. The sales associates here are very welcoming and helpful. Came about a year ago to buy my sister a simple card wallet for an early Christmas, and my sales associate Khoi was more than helpful. Not sure if Andy is still working here, but ask for Khoi or Andy! I was able to choose my wallet when I first came through Andy and Khoi helped me choose the perfect card wallet for my sister. I'm not sure how other stores are, but look the sales associates here at Saint Laurent care about their customers, to personally send you a birthday message every year.

Quality of product for YSL has really gone downhill. The SA here was raving about this Jamie bag when I first saw it. I've had it for less than 3 mos. Only location I've been to, and each time I come in, Xarah is always offering great service. I'm not new to the luxury world and out of all the brands, I think I've received the best customer service when shopping from YSL (which I think says a lot since I'm not a newb and have been collecting for quite some time now). I never feel rushed here and products are never pushed onto me. Xarah is so patient and always offering me drinks, which is always a special treat since I will get napkins/sugar packets with SAINT LAURENT stamped onto them. It truly adds that special touch to your shopping experience! This last time, I was interested in getting something white and Xarah pulled out all the white bags for me lol. She even was quick to pick up on my style and pulled out the small white ones w gold hardware, which is totally my vibe :)) Im also picky when it comes to my purchases and she made sure to get me brand new, untouched ones. When there was none available in store, she offered to look online and have them shipped to me (complimentary!). Came home and saw the baguette brought home had a tiny flaw and Xarah responded in literally a second and already ordered a new one for me for me to exchange with. Cant recommend Xarah enough! Thank you!!!! If you are looking for designer that is edgy cool/sleek, yet classic with reasonable price points and good construction/materials, you can't go wrong w YSL. Ask for Xarah, but honestly, everyone there seemed super nice and helpful!!

Even after almost a year went by we stopped by the same YSL store here to check it out in person! Came here on a NYE and was again pleased with the inventory they had for me and their service! Carmen was thoughtful and kind to show me what I wanted to see and MORE! Of course finding the brand new black on silver I immediately fell in love with my baby! In store is always better rather than browsing online! Don't forget to check out their dressing room - I had a blast sipping on champagne and taking pictures! LOL Thank you Carmen!

I keep coming back for more and more because of the 5-Star service by Kimberly Chow. She always goes above and beyond! I just can't say enough praises....Kimberly and her Director are just absolutely amazing! They go above and beyond each time I come in. They got the champagne flowing and private room for me to shop. If I forget anything, all I have to do is text Kimberly personally and she will get it ready for me before I even arrive. Do not get your bag repaired here!!! All the workers at this location contradict each other. "It takes 2-3 months!" "It should have not taken that long for you to get your bag back. Was it sent out to Italy?" NO IT WAS SENT TO A LOCAL repair shop the FIRST TIME. I used the bag for just ONE OUTING after waiting almost 2 months for it to be repaired and the straps are in a worse condition! I returned again to get my bag repaired a SECOND TIME and I was promised it should not take longer than 2 weeks. It's been almost 1 month now and I have not received any updates. Since I was promised it should only take 2 weeks, I went to go see if they had my bag repaired. They did not have it. I asked where it was sent and not surprised it was sent to a LOCAL REPAIR SHOP AGAIN. Did they not learn the first time when they sent it there? It is now October and I have been trying to get my bag repaired since June. Really disappointed in how everything has been handled. Will definitely not shop here or YSL ever again. I recommend shopping at Louis Vuitton. At least there they know how to take care of their customers. read more

The service here is excellent! Greeted right away, smiles on everyone's face, and of course a beverage of choice to make you more comfortable. They are very helpful and very patient! I came in indecisive on what handbag I wanted (color, style, size, etc.) and the woman who helped me was incredibly helpful! I was gifted with a YSL clutch for my birthday and I exchanged for a bigger bag with strap. I ended up not liking the gold strap, because it was too flashy for my taste. When I went to exchange the second bag I was treated terribly by the store employee and manager Kimberly (name on the receipt) The bag wasn't used and had all the tags attached, but I didn't have the dust bag and it was past 30 days. I think the last person didn't give me the dust bag, because I only tried the bag on once and put it back in the box. They ended up exchanging the bag, because it clearly wasn't used and I told them to keep the dust bag. I won't be shopping that this location again and will purchase from other retailers. If I was the store director I would be disappointed in my employees. The bald guy that helped me and the manager made me feel like a criminal even when I wanted to purchase a more expensive bag. read more

Buyer Beware of the Return Policy. No Refunds, only a 30 day Exchange or store credit. I learned this today when I tried to return a bag that was shipped to me and received 2 days ago. Now I'm stuck with a store credit that I can only used at this particular store. Which sucks because they don't have the bag I really want. read more

Let me start off by saying my immediate thought of YSL inside South Coast is You must look like you got Money to walk in there. That definitely was not my case, I was dressed like I got up from the couch to go pick up some milk at the grocery store lol but as soon as my friend& I walked in we got an immediate Smile and zero judgement. We began to look at the purses and got approached by TANIA. She made our experience amazing!! She offered us water and asked about the style we were looking into and showed us the different type of purses in that style. We never felt pressured to buying anything, but her quality of customer service made us feel comfortable that yes we left with a beauty. I was on the hunt for Nude Tribtoo pumps and could not find them anywhere in Nor Cal. Neiman Marcus carried a Leather option & only had the floor model in-stock. I wanted the pump in Patent Leather. After several calls and emails to various boutiques I decided to call one of my favorite shopping destinations, YSL in South Coast Plaza. Lo and behold, they had them in-stock AND brand new. Margot helped me and she was very patient and kind. She also sent me pics via text and email. Needless to say, I purchased my 1st pair of Tribtoo pumps and absolutely adore them!!! I purchased a Nude pair of Fendi pumps last summer but you can never have too many Nude options. They're timeless and perfect year-round. My shoes shipped the same day and arrived 2 days later. Thank you, Margot, for being a fab sales rep! =) I also want to add that I called YSL a few times and every sales rep I spoke to was extremely helpful and friendly. YSL/Saint Laurent. One of my all time favorite designers and today was another acquisition. I have been looking for an everyday work tote/bag and knew I would find something here. First, they have moved to where Sony use to be and I love the design and the space! I immediately saw the Large Shopping Saint Laurent Tote and was in love. It is everything I have been looking for in a work bag. Carmen was my sales associate who is very lovely and extremely helpful. She showed me the different colors and pulled some more from the back. I appreciated her bringing colors I wouldn't have thought of. As I wasn't done shopping, I asked if she could pull a new one and just hold it for a few hours which she did. So nice of her! When I came back, she pulled out the brand new one and again let me double check everything. She is knowledgeable but not overbearing. My Saint Laurent bags are not purchased anywhere else but here and I don't intend to go anywhere else if I can help it. I do want to mention the other sales associate are just as friendly. I bought my first luxury bag at this store with my two besties and I had such a wonderful experience! Service: Anne and TJ were very patient and helpful! They let us take photos with the bags in the hidden mirror room with our complimentary champagne. I was actually mentally prepared for snooty staff but they were patient and very down-to-earth. We were told about the 30 day return policy for store credit only (which is typical for most luxury brands anyway) and that repairs were free for 2 years if the damage was not due to wear and tear. My bag was brand-new and was nicely wrapped with a cloth bag+ribbon+price tag, etc. Anne also taught me how to clean the bag and how to store the chain/bag properly, which was super sweet since she could probably tell I'm a beginner at this fancy bag business. Quality: When I compare this bag to a similar-looking Michael Kors bag, I can tell that the chain is much sturdier/heavier .. also the leather feels nicer imo. I was told that the gold metal was not painted on like some other luxury brands .. I suppose time will tell whether or not that's true. All in all, I had an amazing experience with top-notch customer service. I was so tempted to get another bag (because there's so many cute bags!!!) but alas .. till next time :) *sidenote: for the person who didn't get a wallet with a price tag, maybe they ran out of that stock in the back and couldn't offer you a new one? it happens sometimes .. read more

This is probably my favorite Saint Laurent to go to even though I have much closer options to shop at. Particularly Alexis has won my heart to be my Saint Laurent SA! She's a doll. I met her about a year ago when looking at some sac de jour nanos. She was such a sweet heart and we keep in touch through text in case I need to text shop. My favorite thing to do. She has texted me pictures of different items I have been interested in. Definitely ask for her! She will be a good contact to have and give you the treatment and customer service you want. Saint Laurent is definitely having a moment as of late. A good moment! I recently picked up a wallet from Alexis to go with my black and gold sac de jour. Thanks to my late night boredom and Internet browsing I decided to come In the next morning and look at the purse. As I mentioned in my previous review the girls are very nice in this location specially Carmen. Unfortunately I was indecisive and I picked the wrong color , I phoned in the store and a gentleman answered . He asked only my name, then his tone of voice became very a*** , he said without asking any further information " oh we don't do exchange on sales items"... ( what makes him think I purchased a on sale item? My Hispanic last name? Anyways, I proceeded to tell the gentleman my purchase was not on sale. Then gave him my customer I.d number and his voice changed back to Mr. Nice guy and said " oh 2450 , okaay "... Every time I come to this location I get amazing service from everyone working there. They are very welcoming! Anytime we are looking for a specific item we contact Brian! Brian is freaking amazing! He ordered some male Chelsea boots for us in 2016, he had them shipped from New York. Recently I was looking for some heels and after getting no help from my local ysl location we decided to reach out to him. He was able to locate the shoes I was looking for and had them delivered in 2 days! I'm about an hour and half drive from this location but I rather drive far for good service! Besides the great service they have a big selection of items. read more

Came in today to buy myself something that I had been eyeing for a while. Customer service at this location is really lacking for a luxury brand. When I came in, there was an SA that saw me come in, never once greeted me or asked if i needed help with anything. I knew exactly what I wanted and just wanted someone to help me get what I wanted, but they all ignored me. When I finally got someone's attention, he still had an attitude. If they didn't have the item I really wanted, I would have just went somewhere else or shopped online. I get better service from other brands. Ok f I ever want to buy from this brand again, I might as well purchase from Nordstrom's or Neiman Marcus. read more

Came in here to get a bag for my wife and it seems all their customer rep are attentive to their customer. ANTHONY, the customer rep who helped us gave a really hands on experience. We didn't have to look at them through the glass display and imagine how it would look on us. My wife was able to hold the the bags she was interested in and tried them all on. We were even left alone with the bags to think about which one to get. Anthony gave us great opinions and honest tips as we browse. The security guard death stare was weird at first, but he sort of disappear mentally when we were busy browsing through their products hands on. They have products in stock and would not hand you a display, which I like. With Anthony great service we came back a second time the same day to get another item. read more

Came in Friday and looked at bags/accessories. Carmen helped us. She was great! I couldn't decide do I wanted to think about it. She wasn't pushy at all and was light hearted and fun! The employees were all friend and acknowledged us. I texted her a few questions over the weekend and decided to come back in today and ended up buying a different bag than the one I had been texting her. Ysl is so iconic and this location is such a cool looking store. Great layout and display of all the products. I only own one product from them, the nude Kate crossbody with a tassel, and I'm so beyond obsessed with it. I came in today forgetting the time and they were closing soon. I felt bad but someone immediately came up and asked if they could help, which I thought was nice, she also reassured that it was ok we come in even though it was late. I actually was looking to purchase the ysl tassel necklace but they didn't have any in stock. The girl helping me was so sweet and even though I wouldn't make a sale that day she went back to look for some earrings that looked basically just like the necklace, same size, color and dimensions, just so I can have a better understanding on how it would look on as a necklace. She didn't pressure me to buy anything, gave me detailed explanations on questions I had, and made me feel like a valued customer, I think that's what everyone would want! Of course it was beautiful and I so wish I could get it but I know next time I come by south coast I'll look for her again! read more

AMAZING experience every time I come in!! I always feel welcomed. ESPECIALLY thanks to Ernesto!!! Absolutely LOVED him!!! Wasn't pushy, and was extremely patient while me and my friend were impulsively deciding on a bag! We were not expecting to buy a bag at all (we were just browsing) ,but Ernesto showed us so many wallet on chain styled bags ( we had to buy because they were so cute and seasonal!!). We were debating for at least 1 hour!!! He offered us water and brought bags from the back as well!! Ended up buying two wallet on chains!!! I love how friendly their staff is. Versace and Balenziaga were rude to us so OFC we didn't buy anything from them. Bad customer service = extreme turn off. ESPECIALLY if we're dropping thousands of dollars. I cannot express how happy I am with Ernesto. He was friendly towards everyone!! Even as more people walked in he was attentive to both me and a regular customer he has! I wish I got the name of the younger looking asian girl w/glasses that assisted me. She was genuine and smiled a lot. I truly appreciated it. Asking if I needed anything to drink or maybe water to go but I already knew what I was looking for so I was in & out in less than 10 mins. Usually the upscale shops do not like to help me out or even greet me. Could it be that I look too young? But I'm 31 with 4 kids. Maybe because I'm always dressed casual with my hair in a bun? Whatever though, I'm use to it. Most of the workers were straight faced, don't really look your way but don't want to help you either. I would only want to be assisted by that one girl only. Next purchase I will look for her & if she's not working then I'd probably come back when she is there. read more

Bought a $2,600 purse only 7 days old and they will not return it because they're stating it was used once, which they told me it was an everyday bag which it definitely was not and the lock was defective they wouldn't even exchange it! Do not buy anything from this location service is awful! read more

If you are looking to make your first official Saint Laurent purchase or your second, I would say Saint Laurent at South Coast is the go to! The associates there never fail to give me a First class experience regardless if I'm making a purchase or just looking around. On the plus side, if the store doesn't have what you're looking for they'll go the extra mile into getting a specific item in store just for you. That's right, just for YOU! I would highly recommend shopping with Taryn or Ernesto as they are the ones who really go above and beyond into giving you a first class shopping experience. Other than that, I highly recommend shopping at Saint Laurent South Coast Plaza for your Lux Fashion Goods. On a high note, the associates here are very helpful, never pushy, and are more than willing to guide you through Saint laurent's past collections and current. read more

Once you've purchased, there is no going back! I purchased an item less than a week ago and went back to return because the woman helping me process payment said "you have 30 days to return." I walked away with this in mind and when I went back less than 7 days later I was told only exchange or credit! While the customer service was great in helping me purchase the item the return policy is beyond unreasonable. All tags and wrapping were still on my item but no exception was made. I suggest going to Nordstrom first if you're thinking of purchasing ysl because they don't have those outrageous return policies. read more

My all-time favorite boutique in all of South Coast. The store is well lit and everything is spaced out. There are seats in the back for trying on shoes. Not to mention, the associates are very nice and informative. I just purchased the nano Sac de Jour in smooth leather and I absolutely love it. It's the perfect everyday bag. I don't carry a lot, so the nano is perfect for me. Plus, it fits my iPhone 7 plus! For the small size, it actually fits a lot. I have my LV key pouch, YSL card case, phone, chapstick and a few other miscellaneous items. .... I got side-swept and carried away... back to the associates.. xP as I was saying... the associates are very nice. I came in and wanted the exact same bag but in a different color and the associate wasn't pushy about making the sales. In fact, she even told me there's a sale since it's the end of the season. I didn't even know luxury brands had sales!!! *mindblown* She walked me to the back and showed me the items that were on sale. I seriously wish I got her name because she was the best. I will definitely come back here for all of my future YSL purchases! read more

6/24/17 3pm & 430pm ERICA HSU. Make sure you look for her if you're trying to make a purchase here. My experience was no less than flawless and Erica was very helpful throughout this time. I've been itching to buy a purse but I was in between several brands. However, I know Saint Laurent always has these classic and chic bags. This store was actually my first stop on my trip at South Coast. When I stepped in, I already felt comfortable in the spacious environment. My party and I were offered waters as soon as we started looking at purses. The Kate and the Satchel were presented to me almost immediately as those were the outstanding ones in their new collection. I thought both were very beautiful (one in nude with silver hardware and a darker nude with silver hardware). However, I wanted to make sure I had seen all my options before I made the purchase. So I very bluntly told Erica about 20 mins in that I was still deciding. She encouraged me to go explore the other brands. However, don't know how she knew, but she blatantly stated that she was sure I would come back and smiled :) And RIGHT SHE WAS. So after browsing through other options, I finally came to the conclusion that I would get it. Yes the Kate was a bit more than what I had initially planned to spend but it's beautiful and perfect for casual or a girls' night out (day to night). They were also "authenticating" my vintage Dior bag, and at that point I just stopped the process. I wasn't about to risk them offering me such a low price for it. It genuinely felt absurd. I understand resale businesses need margin, but this felt extreme. It honestly made me feel bad for people who sell here--like you'd have to be in a really tough spot to accept those kinds of offers. What's more frustrating is that nothing in the store is priced anywhere near that low. As a buyer, I've spent real money here--I even bought a beautiful vintage D&G belt for $250. Now I can't help but wonder what they paid for it. This experience definitely changed how I see the store. I still think they have great pieces, but the selling side feels incredibly one-sided. I completely understand holding your ground and complying with policies, but it would be best if they knew the policies before enforcing them with cement. They may need managers to judge if an exchange is appropriate, and have more product knowledge. RACIALLY PROFILED! I just left this store and didn't buy anything because of the way I was treated. I told the lady that greeted me that I was just browsing. A look of suspicion came across her face and she said, "Well if you tell me what you're browsing for maybe I can help you". This would have been ok if she didn't FOLLOW ME LIKE A LOST PUPPY THROUGHOUT THE ENTIRE STORE!!! I have NEVER shoplifted before and never would. I am dressed nicely with more Gucci than her salary could afford, AND I was holding a Gucci bag from a purchase I had just made. Yet she treated me like a criminal.
