A small space that is big on flavor! The menu is small(ish) but that ensures that everything is made to perfection. They have a large selection of bubble teas (and similar drinks). My kids love these so every visit we get some. One thing I wish they did better was explaining what the different types of options and add ins are. Once you decide your flavor, you pick your bubble style and flavor. I'm not a bubble tea aficionado so it was a little confusing what each of the options meant. There is a decent sized variety of sushi options. My son was ecstatic that his combo (sushi pieces and one roll) came served on a boat. The sushi was fresh and enjoyable. My daughter had a cucumber roll. Very basic, but still enjoyable. The reason I come is for the Vietnamese. I've tried basically all of the Vietnamese options. My favorite is the pork vermicelli. The portion size is generous, the pork is well seasoned and it is a good balance of ingredients. The pho is also great. Overall, a great little place with tasty food. read more

Good pho, beef was very tender. They also substituted half and half for condensed milk when I requested my Thai tea to be less sweet.

I had no idea this place even existed until my dad told me about it last night and I knew I had to try it, so I did! We decided to order take out and bring it home. The employee on the phone was very kind even with my questions. Each roll tasted extremely fresh and flavorful. I even asked for specific ingredients to be taken off of my roll, and they followed my directions perfectly. Many places do not do what I ask, so this was a huge plus! Each roll also looked very pretty as well. The boba teas were very tasty and included a lot of the boba balls. The best part is poking the straw through the plastic lid. All in all, I 100% recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for an above quality meal. I can not wait to try their other meals! read more

The best!! Food is delicious and fresh. Owners are so nice. I love going here. Recommend the spring rolls and the bahn mi.

Stopped here on a whim. They are part of a small strip of businesses and have ample parking. We ordered first at the counter and then sat down. They had a few orders before us and sounded like good bit of to-go orders. Our son got an Bulgogo Fries appetizer that came out first. It was pork over French fries and cheese. It was amazing, like a Vietnamese poutine. He said he could of got just that as a meal. Later my husband and I shared the deluxe sushi. It came with a rainbow roll and various sashimi. The fish was very fresh and melted in our mouths. Our son got the ramen bowl with pork. It was a nice sized bowl. Needless to say he could not finish it and later shared with all of us. Again, it tasted amazing. We also got a taro boba milk tea. Excellent. The service was attentive and checked to make sure everything tasted good or if we needed anything. The ambiance was nice the restaurant faces the road. They have various potted plants. Can't wait to return. read more

The sushi was amazing! I loved the Phoenix Roll! The staff were so kind when I picked up my order. Highly recommend if you want good sushi.

This is my go to place when I visit Pittsburgh for business. It's pricier than most pho places but they definitely serve great pho. The owners are nice and they serve pretty fast. I always get their pho and summer rolls. Have not gone wrong yet. The place is clean and the veges are fresh. They also have a parking lot right outside off the road which makes it a easy place to drop by. read more

Kevin and Katie are 2 of the nicest business owners. Great gluten free options! Their food is fantastic and the service is excellent. I couldn't recommend this restaurant more. Excellent menu items I've had: taro tea, peach smoothie, pink colada smoothie, green tea with boba, spicy tuna roll, fresh spring rolls, pho, vermicelli, curry. All terrific!!! read more

I love Saigon88 so much. THE BEST sushi and pho ever. The workers/owners are so unbelievable nice. We usually order take-out and sometimes they throw in an extra roll for free for surprise. Best local resturant ever. Highly recommend and its supports small business!!! read more

Saigon 88 express is a new gem that I have discovered. Located only 15 mins from the Pittsburgh airport, they specialize in delicious and quick Vietnamese food. This restaurant is a mom and pop restaurant with the chef being the husband and wife being the server. They are extremely kind, and make everyone feel welcome while also serving delicious food. Interior: bright and cheery, also well maintained and clean. Staff: very friendly and efficient Food: spring rolls with shrimp (goi cuon Tom) - large portions with a yummy peanut sauce. Pho dac biet- large portions with a delicious broth and fresh veggies (basil, bean sprouts, lime, and jalapeño) Avocado smoothie- this was so refreshing and made from fresh avocado. It was so good. Highly recommend with boba on a hot summer day. I would recommend this place to anyone wanting to try Vietnamese food. You come for the food, but stay and return for the wonderful service :) I will definitely be back. read more

I was STARVING after my 14 mile hike and was craving some bomb Vietnamese food. Saigon 88 was only a 20 minute drive away so my fiancé and I decided to give it a try. There is a small parking lot which is a plus. They're only offering takeout but there are two tables located outside. I recommend taking your food home because the outdoor seats are very uncomfortable. It was also super humid and sunny the day I went. We ordered the chicken pho, combo com, and Saigon fresh spring rolls to split. The pho broth was delicious and super flavorful! I grew up eating pho so I can definitely tell you this pho is authentic and perfectly salty but also a little sweet. I would've preferred more noodles. I felt like the portion was too small compared to how much soup and chicken I got. The combo rice was also fantastic and chocked full of meat. Their nuoc mam (fish sauce) is some of the best fish sauces I've ever had at a restaurant. The spring rolls were decent as well. Keep in mind that this isn't the typical spring rolls you would order (those are called goi cuon). The sauce that came with them was a little runny. I'm so glad I got to try this place! It's kind of located in the middle of nowhere but definitely worth giving a try. read more

This was a fantastic find. It's a small little family owned restaurant with a very kind, helpful, and effective staff. We ordered several different take-out items, and everything was well packaged and still well-presented when we got home. The banh mi was excellent, with just the right balance of ingredients and flavors paired with excellent bread. The fresh rolls were well-constructed and delicious. Everything was just really well made with quality ingredients and well-balanced flavors and textures. I Highly recommend giving this place a try. read more

I frequent this store all the time and usually go for the Pho, the fried egg rolls, and fried dumplings, but we got this fresh roll today and man was it so tasty. The sauce is a perfect paring, not to thick or salty like other places. We slurped down our pho so quick I forgot to take a photo. This time I felt like the bowls got bigger! Which is unheard of during pandemic when all other restaurants are making everything smaller and charging more. One of the major reasons why I love this place is their cleanliness. You can tell they care about the food they serve and and this place is always clean. read more

Thought I had done a review before but apparently not! Ok let's go down the list: The food: Never disappoints! The pho, curry, and so much more are absolutely delicious. And, they have GREAT sushi. I moved from so cal and had a hard time finding an actually decent sushi place, until now. My SO and I have been a few times, and the staff is always amazing. Highly recommend!! Please note, this is a smaller business (not a huge generic chain), so if you want to show up with a group during dinner rush, please try to call ahead. They will try do everything in their power to accommodate your group, even during a busy shift :) Side note: OMG THE FLAVORS! This is a tasty spot in McKees Rocks. If you're in the area, definitely check it out. If you're not normally around these parts and are looking for some good Vietnamese I'd say it's worth your trip. The Saigon Fresh Spring rolls were full of fresh mint and other fresh herbs. It has certainly raised my standards for what a fresh spring roll should be like. Very tasty. I got one to go. I got the Pork Patty Noodle Meal and to be honest was not a fan. Most of the meats were very processed and spam- like, as you can see in the photo. If you are like me and this is not your scene, stick with an entree that has the crisp and flavorful beef or pork -- you can't go wrong with that. I'd say the Bun Thit Nuong. My friend also got their Spicy Lemongrass Soup Some good news guys, they have some outdoor seating! My friend and I were able to eat our lunch together without compromising our safety. read more

Took a drive to this restaurant based on the highly rated yelp reviews. The place was clean but it only had limited seating. Half the restaurant was taken up by the kitchen and thats the first thing we noticed. It was made more obvious because it separated the room by an angle thus making weird corner spacing. Anyways we ordered the shrimp/pork rolls to start and beef pho as entres. The pork rolls were delicious however the beef pho was a tad bit salty. The portions were decent but for the price they could have added more meat. Additionally the meat was bunched up instead of individual separated. When I separated it myself, the meat was still raw in the middle. Luckily I caught this when the soup was still really hot. Overall, it was a decent meal. read more

I had a doctor's appointment in the area and was on my own for dinner. I wanted something warm and comforting on the cold, rainy night and decided pho was the way to go. I had seen Saigon 88 when we were at our realtor's office a couple of years ago and had been itching to try it, so tonight was the night! Everything was very tasty. I went for the shrimp pho and the volcano roll. The woman who took care of my order was very sweet and helpful, and for a walk-in order they were quick and attentive. Came across this place on the way to the Robinson Mall and I am SO glad I stopped by. I have to start by saying that the service is unmatched! The owners are SO nice and you can tell they really care and put a lot of time and love into their food. Hands down the nicest restaurant I've been to in pgh. My go to pho is the pho dac biet and I thought it was really good! The broth was really flavorful and there was plenty of meatballs/tripe/ and beef! The boba was the most surprising. I got the kumquat lemonade and my friend got the Thai ice tea. We both agreed that the boba was really chewy and our drinks were made perfectly. I would make the drive out just for the boba! Make sure you check out this place next time you're in town and you won't be disappointed. read more

I recently started become a regular here due to proximity, and I've been blown away. The food is incredible, from the spicy ramen, sushi, to my personal favorite, Pho. The ingredients are fresh and the quality is top notch. Everyone in my office raves about this place. I also want to mention that the owners of this restaurant are salt-of-the-earth type people. They make a point to build a relationship with their customers, which is something that has been so refreshing. The food is great, but it's nice to lunch not feel so transactional. I look forward to our interaction each time I visit. Highly recommend checking this place out if you like Pho, or any of the foods they have on their menu. read more

Saigon88 Express - PHO NOODLES SOUP w/ Beef Brisket - Vietnamese Near Me - Mckees Rocks, Pennsylvania

Hello there fellow Yelpers! Saigon 88 is located right next to a busy road with enough parking to get in and out quickly! The place is nice and clean and has enough seating for how many people are present. We came in on a Saturday. Our overall review is really a 4.5/5, but they definitely get a 5/5 for service and for the fact that there is great Vietnamese food in this area. Compared to other Vietnamese food we've had though some of the flavors are a little off but we'll go in more detail below for those of you interested. Extended review: You order and then seat yourself which we always like! The cashier was super nice and is also the one cooking. Times are tough with the staffing these days! So appreciate how kind they are. Some other reviews have mentioned it and we have to confirm that they are very attentive to detail! They will read out your order and confirm everything is correct which is great :) The prices are reasonable considering all of the inflation happening right now at this time. We are writing this as of Feb 2022, so whenever you're reading this we hope the inflation has gotten better haha. Food wise. The Bahn mi is Delicious! 5/5 for sure! The bread is good and soft and toasty. Perhaps the veggies could be more and pickled a bit more but it's great still. We had the dac biet (the special) which has Vietnamese ham and head cheese and such. We also had the tofu bahn mi. Both were good! The pho is about a 3.5/5 because the flavors are a bit too strong on the sweet/umami side where you can't drink the broth in our opinion, but the chicken pho was pretty decent. The sushi is a solid 3.5 to 4 out of 5 for us. There are some better locations, but being out in McKeesport it's nice to have a sushi option as well as the convenience of coming to one location! It's what feels like a cute little family shop so come stop by and support! Owners are Vietnamese as well! read more

Truly a hidden gem hidden in the hills of McKees Rocks. It's a small cafe type shop with a small parking lot and an unassuming vibe overall. It's an order and pay at the counter before receiving your meal type of place. Their menu is quite simple and though they are sometimes out of stock of certain noodles. They'll let you know what they have. The friendly guy who took our order was actually the cook too, so although they did not have wide rice noodles for a dish, they substituted vermicelli noodles. My family got an order of fresh spring rolls, pork banh mi to start. I got the Bun-Vermicelli noodles and my parents got the Pho Dac Biet. Spring rolls were packed tight and they did not skimp on the shrimp! Sauce was solid, especially if you ask for chili paste with it. The pork banh mi reminds me of the traditional, non-flashy banh mi's you get. It's loaded with delicious marinated pork, fresh crispy French bread, and assortment of picketed vegetables with jalapeños and cilantro. The pho broth was very rich and delightful! Even on a warm day like today! The bun-vermicelli noodles with pork was refreshing and light! Lots of flavor encompasses the dish from the pickled vegetables to the crispy bean sprouts to the sweet/salty sauce/dressing that accompanied the dish. Being in a unassuming environment, this place wow-ed my family and impressed us overall. read more
