How ever they did bring one of our egg rolls to a table that came way after us. And when they brought their egg rolls out for them they were confused for a moment at where it was supposed to go. My baby ate all her egg rolls and said they were almost like grandmas but not quite there. Can't beat grandmas. I'm unfortunately very underwhelmed with this place. Sitting here at the table writing this review right now. My table ordered: VEGETABLE NOODLE SOUP- 85% noodles and 15% what seems to be a canned vegetable can and few thin pieces of bok choy. I swear there was ONE small broccoli cut in half, and ONE baby corn from a can cut in half!! And 2 tiny mushrooms (from a can). VERY displeased with it as all I was eating was essentially the noodles. SEAFOOD NOODLE SOUP- again noodle to seafood proportions very uneven. 2 pieces of the tiny tiny shrimps and 1 crab meat. #10 RARE STEAK AND TRIPE- i was so confused. When it was served, it looked like 95% noodles floating in the bowl + 2 pieces of meat floating with it. And it was crazy little as the one eating it finished first within 5 minutes and was kinda stirring/picking at the broth to see if that really was it. It was. BUN BO HUE- the only bowl i was impressed with but only because it was completely devoured in a small amount of time. But then again, it could be because the portion of the noodles was an extreme amount and instead of the rice noodles it is of course the traditional bun bo hue spaghetti type noodles. I just wouldnt recommend it. I wouldnt even recommend it as a last resort (because that is why we went here) and yeah, it didnt even satisfy for that. Ate here the other day...had a #40, Vermicelli bowl with shrimp and with it was offered pork, beef or chicken. So I opted for the pork, price was $7.25. When I received the bill, they charged me an extra $3.00 for the pork???? No where on the menu did it state that an additional $3.00 would be charged!!!! The Broth here is really good. The service isn't amazing, but this doesn't seem like that kind of establishment. You can get what you need though, and everyone is really nice. The garnish was fresh, and the noodles were plenty. I had a rare steak, and there was a decent amount of steak in the bowl. The noodles were tender and seemed to be of a good quality. The broth had just a hint of sweetness, the sprouts were crisp and fresh. We also had a plate of calamari fried with a sweet and sour sauce. The presentation was kind of lackluster, and the calamari itself tasted a little dull and bland. It was a bit too chewy, and cut into unusual strips that we both thought were a little odd, won't be ordering those again. We left very pleased and will be returning often. read more

The total amount of meat in my bowl was so miniscule, I am not even sure if they added any extra when I received my order. Furthermore, as I paid for my order, the waitress charged me $3.00 for "extra meat". She claimed it was a recent price increase, however this information wasn't posted anywhere. They are going to continue to charge me for my bowl of bbq pork rice noodle soup when i found hair in it. It wasnt my hair.. i Have dreadlocks and my hair is nowhere near straight or thin!. On top of that the discount they gave me was a dman Dollar!!. Will never go back again!. So sad. As a person who works in the food industry this is disgusting and poor service!. Charge me pretty much full price!. Sickening. Also i tell my waiter/ server and he shrugs his shoulders and just says well not my job you can talk to the manager. read more

This is my second go to place for pho my first is Phoenix noodle house but that's too far from my job to order. I always order a large #1 Beef Pho Soup and they aren't shy with the servings either. The broth is very flavorful I like it with a lil spice so I always ask for chili oil. There's rarely a wait and customer service is always nice and fast. You will not be disappointed. read more

What the hell happened to this place?! My aunt took me here the first month they opened and the pho and iced coffee was amazing! It was my Go-To spot when ever I'm in the area. On Sunday (11/9/14) 2PM I took my two friends out for lunch and had recommended this pho restaurant because I had a really great past experience. A table for three and I was bragging on how great the pho #1 and chow fun at this joint was. We ordered a #1 pho medium, chicken soup small, seafood chowfun, taro with boba, ice coffee, tea, combination chow fun. Okay now for my pros and cons. Pros: the food came out fast, condiments were clean and filled, clean seating area, first pho place that has a working AC (bring a sweater), the guy in the vest is the only attentive server there (we didn't have him as our server this time) Cons: My pho broth was so bland. I had to drench my pho with lots of hoisin sauce. My iced coffee wasn't fully blended. The condense milk sat on the bottom of my to-go cup. I didn't ask for boba so the coffee should have costed $3 instead of $3.50. Plus they filled the cup full of ice, barely any coffee. The taro drink was okay, the boba they used were OLD, you can tell when the center is over cooked and hard. The chow fun was pretty bland. No flavor at all. The seafood chow fun had a lot of fish cake and less shrimp and squid. I think they thought the fish cake can fool me haha nope! We had to add siracha and hoisin sauce in the chow fun too... ugh... food was pretty bad this time. Another thing, my friend doesn't like bean sprouts in her chow fun, and I asked our server the cook can make the chow fun without bean sprouts, the server rudely says NO! we can't do that. ... It's like shit... we're saving you ingredients. That was weird of them. My friend ordered a ice tea and not once the server came to check up on us or refilled his tea or our waters. I didn't touch my coffee the entire meal. Once we're done eating my our tab was about $50 Now for 4 basic entree and 3 drinks at a pho place that's pretty high for generic food, we're better off at DK noodles or Noodle Palace. One our favorite places because the food is delicious. We have been enjoying it for about 5 years. We were turned off tonight by the employee scraping food off plates into the trash and stacking them on a cart with other dirty dishes right in front of our table and others as we were eating. I haven't tried many of the other pho restaurants in Modesto, but I really dont need to. This place makes really good pho. They provide the 3 musts when it comes to my pho. 1. They dont overcook their nooodles (and use the slightly chewier noodles than the ones that crumble) 2. They have the darker meatier broth 3. They offer good portions Oh.. and they aren't overpriced. I like it that they have different size options for when I am starving. I'm pretty sure they use MSG as do all Vietnamese pho restaurants, but it doesn't seem like they overdose it because I dont get super thirsty or get a food coma as I do after eating at some other places. read more

I came in to order Pho takeout. Not only was the service very quick, but the staff is super friendly. Also, the prices are low for the large amount of food that you get (which is a huge plus). The place is small, but clean. There's a flat screen with sports on. I have been waiting for a place as good as it was back home in San Jose. For me, it doesn't get any better than Pho on King and Tully. HOWEVER, Saigon Restaurant just made my night! A fifth star would mean that they are better than SJ. I decided to give this restaurant 3 stars based on the entries that I have tasted, however their FRIED RICE DESERVES 5 STARS!! It is really good their other food is not on the bad but it didn't stand out. Prices are nice, very affordable and staff isn't so friendly but they aren't rude they get their job done. If I recommend this place to anyone I would say get fried rice with black bean chicken made extra spicy chow main noodles are thin so if you like that type of noodle then it is good to try also. read more

I like coming here but it's a typical pho house. There's nothing too special about it. But we come here often for our pho fix. Sometimes they forget to bring you your order and you end up taking it to go or mess it up but the food taste good and the workers do try and be nice.
