Great food-we've been coming for a couple years. However, I do not approve of how the owner speaks to her employees. Last week was the final straw. Don't get me wrong the food is great. The service, not so great. I ordered Vietnamese spring rolls and a small pho to go. I asked her may I have some hoison sauce and sriracha sauce she said yes they are in the bag along with your veggies (cilantro, bean sprouts, mint, etc.) I said okay thank you and proceeded to leave. It wasn't until I got back to work that I opened the bag and saw that there wasn't any sauces and there wasn't even any veggies so I am left with noodles, soup, and chicken. How plain!! I come in here VERY often, always tip over 25% (I work in the industry) and STILL manage to get treated like total crap every time I come in!!!! I truly do not understand why. Saigon Pho is a family owned/run business in a shopping center near What-a-Burger just off of 249. I mention its location because Texas is notorious for not having visible business addresses. That may be important, because we had to call the restaurant to find it. My wife found it on Yelp. We were looking for a different place to eat in Tomball. You will immediately noticed that it is clean. The service was quick and efficient. Our soft drinks were served in a can, but with a glass of ice. As we pondered the menu, a gentleman was leaving and thanked the waitress for "the best pho he had ever had." Before he left my wife asked him which he ordered. He paused and told us about the Eye-Round & Brisket Pho. This soup has beef and noodles. We understand that "pho" means "noodle soup." Based on his comments, we both ordered the same as he ordered. A plate of bean sprouts and basil piled high. Then the soup arrived. Fortunately, we had ordered the "small." The "small" bowl was truly sufficient for two of us (though I admit I ate most of mine). The waitress asked us if we had eaten with them before. We had not, so she guided us with showing us how to add various condiments to the small plate and how to add the sprouts, basil, and peppers. The meal was not very expensive, but the waitress kept us well stocked with napkins (high quality paper napkins), silverware, etc. Chops sticks are available at the table, as is the silver. They package even the silver in paper envelopes which gives some assurance that they really care about cleanliness. Unlike most meals, for me, this one was actually a culinary experience. The eater has the responsibility of adding the condiments and garden goodies during the meal. The waitress was very pleasant and helpful throughout the entire event. Above all, the pho was absolutely delicious. Oh, one of my pet peeves: bad music. There was background music, but it was classical and at a reasonable volume. No hard rock nonsense here. Thank you for that! During the meal four ambulance personnel came it. They are in the same category as police: if they are there, the food is probably good and reasonable. My wife took half of her soup home in a very nice plastic container with a good lid. All in all, I really cannot say enough good about Saigon Pho. read more

I've tried the shaking beef with an order of Vietnamese spring rolls and came back a few days later to try the eye round and brisket pho with an order of Vietnamese egg rolls. This was our first time to a Pho restaurant so we were excited to try something new! We love all types of ethnic foods and this place was a wonderful choice. Dont let the cozy casual atmosphere fool you- you WONT be disappointed. Started off with Grilled Pork Spring Rolls- OMG to die for, flavor of the pork was absolutely delicious. These perfect rolls served with peanut sauce are not to be missed. Loved them so much ordered two more orders to go when we left! Next was an order of steamed dumplings- these were very good. Gonna try them fried next time! Next was the Pho.... my husband thought he was smart and ordered the large... this amout was crazy huge- plenty for two people( not sure how you share soup like this but its enough for two). He and I both ordered the Chicken Pho, and my 9 year old ordered the kids chicken pho. All food is cook to order I believe so its Mega Fresh! The owner (i assume) is super friendly and we told her this was our first time. She gave us some helping suggestions that were awesome! Soup was absolutely delicious. Not a fan simply because their customer service. When we first noticed them, we would call for the Vietnamese sandwiches. Every time we did, they were sold out. Then, when I ordered pho, I made sure to ask before I left if there was sarache sauce in the bag. They said yes. I got home only to find out it was combined with the brown sauce in a small little container. I have never been to a Vietnamese restaurant that did this and when I called, they just said its in the bag. I will just drive 5 extra miles to Spring cypress for the sandwiches and to Tomball Pho..I think their place is better in taste and price anyway. read more

Great Pho. Some of the best I have had in the area. Much better than the salt brine served at the one very close a couple strip malls away. I have only found one place better, over in Spring. Very nice little restaurant and the workers are friendly. Very good take out also! I eat here or get take-out at Saigon Pho at least once a week. read more

This place is excellent! Great service and food. It's a hidden little gem in Tomball. We ordered the lemongrass beef spring rolls, NP4, and P4. The owner came by and chatted with us a bit. She noticed it was our first time there and created us warmly. We also tried the raspberry macaroons. They are pricey but very tasty. The owner told us that she orders all of her materials to make them from Europe. We will definitely be going back. read more

I agree with the other reviewers that this restaurant has great Vietnamese food. I visited twice recently and had a small (quite large actually) bowl of Pho and BBQ pork with vermicelli on my first visit. My second visit I had a small bowl of Pho again with shrimp and vermicelli. The food was very good on both visits. This is a family operated restaurant and the owners are friendly and hardworking. Let's hope others in Tomball try this restaurant. read more

I have been here 3 times, and I have enjoyed every meal I've had so far. The hostess was very friendly and energetic, and the portions(soup in particular) were delicious and very large. The Udon noodle Soup, Pho, and Pan-fried vietnamese noodles are my favorites, and the selection of teas and smoothies is great. The home-made chili oil is my favorite part of every meal. Horrible customer service experience. Left an expensive polo jacket there but live 2 hours away. Called and was told by Megan jacket was there and she would hold on to it for me. She took my name and number. A few days later, was told by Justin jacket was still there. I offered $40 to mail it to me but he said to ask Megan (in retrospect, this was a red flag). Could not find Megan for days. A few more days later, was finally told by Pam jacket was "already picked up by someone" but no one could tell me who gave the jacket to whom. Pam said their lost and found box is out in the open so "anyone could have picked it up" (REALLY?). This sounds absolutely ridiculous and suspicious as I called twice and left my name and number with two different staff who said the jacket was still there! Today, I confronted Justin again and he now changes the story and said he never saw the jacket. Totally irresponsible and likely dishonest. Dealing with a loss is already tough but the terrible customer service poured fuel on fire. Don't leave any personal belonging behind if you ever eat there as you may not get it back!!! read more

We discovered this place a couple of months ago and so pleased that we did! The service has been consistently good with a friendly staff who are attentive without crowding your space. The atmosphere is casual and comfortable and the premises clean. The best part of all has been the food. It has been amazingly good. We have tried a few dishes now including the lo mein combo...very flavorful with lots of meat.(smoked pork has such a rich, distinctive flavor) The lemon grass beef had been my favorite until I tried the beef curry tonight....the best I have had in many years (and I know my curry!) I also recommend the chicken wings with the fish sauce, they are incredibly crispy and so good. The vietnamese iced coffee is strong and sweet and so darn good! We recommend that you try this place. One word of warning, they keep the a/c on pretty low so I recommend you bring a sweater or jacket as it can get chilly in there. read more

I have been a regular customer of this restaurant since they opened. I was very happy with the service and enjoyed the food, and the owner and wait staff knew me from how often we ate there. Today, I treated myself to dinner while the rest of the family was out for the evening. I ordered the grilled pork spring rolls. In my first bite, I got a mouthful of... a worn bandage. Yes, I was chewing a band-aid that the chef was clearly wearing while making my food, then didn't notice had gone missing. Think about the health code issues of someone with a cut or open sore and not wearing gloves! I showed the waiter what I found in my spring roll, and he just stared at it and said "Sorry." The young woman working the counter went to the kitchen, came back, and had a conversation with my waiter in Vietnamese. Then he just turned back to me and said, "Sorry" again. No offer to speak to the owner, nothing. I pointed out that for a chef to be preparing food with a wound and not wear gloves was a major code violation, and he had nothing to say, and nobody else had an interest in addressing the issue with me. I was lucky to make it out without vomiting. If they are this sloppy about food preparation and have no interest in salvaging a customer's trust, I can't recommend them any longer. read more

i have been quite a few times, incl. take out of the LARGE size PHO, which is enough for 3 people. love their PHO, and i do love the one with tendon! recently tried the steamed dumplings and they are GREAT: tasty filling, thin dumping skin and super nice sauce. small place, nice service. love coming here. read more
