Outside seating only but its dirty & dusty. Cute decor and design but they should clean the table and chairs outside. Food was great vermicelli noodles were cold but salmon was warm. Server seemed a little bit occupied or spaced but definitely would try it again. read more

Honestly the worst Banh mi I've had. Store looks nice, food picture looks so yummy, but the taste was not it. I usually don't write reviews like this but this was so bad I gotta let people know... Banh mi was so dry, didn't taste a drop of mayo. Meat was dry too. The paper that they wrap it in for to-go made it taste weird. It's like cardboard wrapping paper. I'm trying to eat and I get a whiff of that paper.. makes my appetite go away. It's okay to be different but not like this, regular paper is fine.. If you are going to work for a cultured restaurant, at least learn the basic language for the food. Its annoying when I ask for "Banh mi thịt nướng" (bbq pork) and they think I'm saying chicken?? The workers there are nice though! read more

Good food, zero atmosphere like an old gas station in an upscale strip mall, strictly al fresco dining outside. Never again.

It was my first time trying it and it wasnt bad at all. Employees were very nice and helped me with my decision patiently. Amount of food was more than I expected, granted mostly ramen, but tastewise it was decent. Chicken was not as juicy as I hoped but it still passed as a place to include in my to go food options for future read more

I am a Uber / DoorDash & GrubHub delivery driver, I have been doing deliveries full time for over 4 years ... i just came to this Saigon Hustle establishment in Pouring Rain to pick up a Order ... they told me 10 minutes wait time, 13 minutes into waiting after holding my Pee i decided to walk to the RestRoom the gentleman "Jesse" who said he was the General Manager hurried past me with a Key and Closed the door telling me the Owners "Sandy & Cassie" instructed him to not let Deliver Drivers use their Restroom ... he then want back to his station ... I stood there hold Pee thinking to myself imagine i am Helping the Owners "SANDY & CASSIE" by risking my safety in the rain ... i am helping these types of humans take care of and feed their families tears came to my eyes ... i waited 20+ mins for the order holding my Pee, it's 2024 you'd to think the Human consciousness would evolve to be more kind but "Sandy, Jesse & Cassie also the owners of "Sundays Press" for those few minutes i felt like i was reduced to being less than Slave that was helping these disgusting creatures survive ... as a driver I pride myself on cleanliness because that is how my Grandmother raised me but i can help Sandy & Cassie fill the orders for their business, but as a delivery driver i am beneath the human standard to use there restroom .... I am not telling anyone not to use these establishments but i am just giving you a heads up, these are the types of humans you support ... i pray God divine presence intervene and change the hearts of these humans ... it's sickening i was told Houstonian are very Hospitable ... i guessing this establishment doesn't embody those Characteristics ... its a very Sad day today but I won't Allow "Siagon Hustle" Cassie, Sandy & Jesse to break my happy spirit :) read more

Saigon Hustle - Chicken Salad - Vietnamese Near Me - Houston, Texas

Hustle is such an inappropriate word for this establishment. You'll probably be waiting 15 min to get someone to take your order in the drive thru line. They literally just don't acknowledge you. It's happened to me twice out of the three times I've been. You have to drive up to the window past the ordering area and be like "ummm can I order?" Then you get some dry ass food. Seriously each time I'm like maybe it was just an off day. But it hasn't once been good. Great concept. Could be so good. They just don't have their shit together at all. Go to Les Baget across the street for good vietnamese and service. read more

I've eaten here 4 days in a row, I've had their vermicelli and chicken, salad and ribeye beef, and chicken wings twice with vegetables egg rolls. I can say the food is really good especially to have a drive thru. The food seems to be prepared when ordered which is good because you don't typically get that with a drive thru. I work a lot so sometimes I want to grab food and go straight home but I don't eat fast food so I always have to preorder and get out the car. My last experience yesterday around 6:15pm however wasn't 5 star. I ordered 6 well done wings and vegetables egg roll. The middle of my egg rolls taste like a freezer taste. It wasn't all the way cooked. Also I ask for no spice , the young lady stated so no sauce. I was like no I want sauce just the lowest spice you offer. I just purchased 12 on Friday they were perfect and 6 on Thursday. She wasn't pleasant even when I said thank you she didn't respond, I don't know if it's because I didn't tip but I don't have to tip through a drive thru everyday or at all. The sauce was brighter, a lot of chili peppers and my nose was running. Completely different from the following 2 days. I was to tired to go back. I didn't like this at all and it was my first meal of the day. I'm not sure what was going on..but I do know I've been spending money here consistently everyday since I discovered it and that sauce was not the same sauce my lips were trembling read more

What a cool spot. This is vietnamese food that is quick and affordable. Its mostly a drive thru car place but their is a front tables area if the sun or rain is not too much. i like the bowls and they are full of salad and fresh veggys. nice people working here. read more

Food was okay. Large portions and tasty. However, it's pretty greasy/oily and probably pretty bad for you.

I was sure I had already left Saigon Hustle a review. I ordered food from them when they participated in LunchDrop and I am so glad I ordered from them that day. I rarely buy my lunch but my coworker urged me to check out their menu because it looked really good. I was so happy with the quantity and quality of my lunch order I knew I would be hooked. I have ordered online for pick up with them a few times now and I am always happy with the quality of my food. Their slightly spicy fish sauce is superior to other fish sauce I've had from other Vietnamese restaurants. I don't feel like I have to doctor it up and risk overpowering the flavor of my food. And baby--when I order from there, I order with the intention of eating it for a couple of days. My usual is the grilled pork vermicelli bowl and plenty of Vietnamese egg rolls (at least 8). I eat them with the pickled daikon/carrot slaw and romaine lettuce. I sometimes forget to order extra Vietnamese vinaigrette (a/k/a fish sauce) and kick myself because it's such a small up charge for extra. It's not that they don't provide enough, I just like it that much that I end up downing the last of it like a shot. Long story short, I know people have their own opinions and order thru door dash or delivery. I'm a phenomenal home cook so when I order out, it has to be something I wouldn't normally make on my own and or if just has to be REALLY good and THIS IS IT!! I work from home Mondays and Thursdays and they seem to participate with LunchDrop on Thursdays. I've contemplated ordering and having a coworker collect my order and put it in the work fridge for me. INSTEAD, I am adding this comment so they might consider changing up their LunchDrop participation. Thank You!!! read more

I'm a massive fan of this place. I make a stop whenever I'm in the area, even if I'm not hungry Their banh mi is some of the best I've ever had outside of actual Vietnam. Their meat is flavorful and their tofu is deliciously marinated. They even offer vegan mayonnaise so our vegan friends aren't left with a dry banh mi. I love love love their spring rolls and their vermicelli bowls as well. I like to get the honey glazed lemongrass salmon as they use real lemon grass (you know because you get the little pieces of lemon grass every now and then). And again, their tofu is so crazy delicious, vegans and vegetarians will be very pleased! There's a drive thru window and some very limited outdoor seating, so keep that in mind. They have an app to make ordering super easy and getting your order even faster. read more

Was in the neighborhood & ran across this new Viet restaurant . Went through the drive through and got a bbq pork Banh Mi. The meat was great. The veggies were good. I tasted no homemade mayo? Which is standard on an authentic Banh Mi. The biggest disappointment thought was the bun! A French baguette with a crusty exterior was what I was expecting, but instead got a roll with the consistency of a hamburger bun. The bread is the signature of the sandwich! Or should be I guess. So overall I was disappointed, but not to say that the cashier was very friendly! Come on guys, get some French baguettes!! read more

Not okay. This business needs to do better at providing true pricing. I feel scammed. The menu said $7.95 for a large ABC soup and they charged me $10.95. read more

Hello world. Just because I haven't written a review in a long time doesn't mean I haven't been eating out. I have and a lot of it. Today I am trying a new one. The young lady taking my order gets a 5 star by herself. I LOVE GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE. Her energy level was so positive and the smile on her face was infectious. Thank you for the warm and fuzzy. Would love to bottle that up and sprinkle it around town. Well let's jump in. This is the perfect place for good and quick Vietnamese food. There is no inside dining but a cute outside covered patio with fans. Downside it's right on the corner of 34th and Ella so it's pretty loud. They have a drive thru for those of you on the run. I ordered the Honey glazed lemongrass salmon roll. It's a cold roll, which is fine for me on a hot day. ( everyday in Houston) It's a very good dish. It's has a dip sauce with it that has a slight spice to it and appears to be a peanut base- it goes well with it. I also ordered a passionfruit tea, not too sweet but refreshing. There were a few other items I would come back to try. I liked being able to see into the kitchen ( sometimes ) this keeps the kitchen honest and usually cleaner than others. I spent $19 which included a tip and I usually don't have a drink ( unless I'm day drinking) so the price point was ok. Yes, I recommend it, yes I will be back. read more

Everything about this place screams cheap. The food is so dry and basic I could make it better myself. It really seems like they don't care about the quality, they're just here to hustle our $$. This place is not really a good representation of Viet food, I would suggest better options in Bellaire. The workers were nice though. read more

This location had been sitting untouched for a while until a couple weeks ago when it seemed like things were finally coming together. It's a fast casual concept for Vietnamese food and I was excited, because that could potentially mean I wouldn't have to drive far for some good Viet food! I had the chance to stop by today and ordered the Saigon crepe rolls and the bbq pork banh mi. There were a couple of cars already in line and they seemed busy making all of the orders; once I got mine I drove off and continued with my errands. I noticed that the cashier included a surplus amount of soy sauce packets, which seemed strange... just because usually that shouldn't be included for what I ordered, but maybe that's a subjective opinion? In any case, I was thoroughly disappointed with the banh mi - the vegetables inside were sparse and soggy and the bbq pork had a gummy mouthfeel. I was looking forward to tasting the pate, but it had a weird texture and wasn't as enjoyable. The spring rolls were not bad, but by wrapping up the crepe, the steam will eventually make it soggy if you don't eat it fresh (my mistake, I'll admit that!). Maybe we can chalk it up to opening week stress, but my experience was surprisingly underwhelming. Note: late review, as I visited during their official opening week which was sometime in late February. read more

Yeah, I guess its a cool concept for quick "viet" food. I've ordered from here three times through a delivery service and I gotta say, I don't think I'll order it again. Each time I wanted to try something new and hope to find something I'll "love" but I don't even think I can say I like it. Does not seem like they have consistency down because each time I've had their food, it just tastes off. Pork & Shrimp spring rolls is primarily noodles. Shrimps were good size. Pork was stale chopped bits. Little to no lettuce or any greens in there. Peanut sauce has this sweet after taste that just won't go away. The Saigon Crepe roll was extremely soggy. I just don't think you can pair a soggy banh xeo with rice paper that naturally has a rubber texture and not include enough crunchy greens to balance it. Not good. Fish sauce is super sweet and extra garlicky. Ay yah, no. Vermicelli is ok. The one time I ordered it, I received old looking stale veggies. It was very sad. Its also paired with the same fish sauce. :( Just today, I ordered my food with a vietnamese coffee. Tastes like they used regular old ground coffee. There was nothing about it that tastes like ca phe sua da. Lastly, the alphabet soup. Two bites and I was over it. I just don't think you can pair alphabet pasta with a pho broth and throw in a few chunks of beef bits. Just no. They have a great lookin menu and the concept works. They just need better execution and quality control of their recipes. read more

Saigon Hustle - Iced Taro Milk Tea - Vietnamese Near Me - Houston, Texas

Pretty good sandwich, really quick service. It gets edged out just slightly by the food at Les Ba'get. The real kicker is that there's a drive through, which means I'll probably be here frequently on the way home from work. read more

I've been here multiple times, all drive thru because convenience. The first time, they got my order wrong and I didn't notice until I got back to work. My wrong order however was delicious. I think it was the BBQ pork vermicelli. The next day I went back and got my lemongrass tofu salad as I originally wanted and that was also great. I've done bowls and bánh mì and honestly I've gotten a lot of food each time. I did notice other reviewers saying that the amount they give is not worth the price but my bowls are always super full of different ingredients. I'm always extra careful on the drive thru to not accidentally scratch up my SUV, but it doesn't dissuade me from coming and grabbing a quick healthy-ish lunch when I'm working just down the street. read more

The service was fast the cashier was friendly. I wish they had a dine in area the patio/ porch area had some seating. This little shopping strip is well lit which was awesome. They have a drive thru which was different for a Vietnamese place.. I will be completely honest. I was a little skeptical about eating at a Vietnamese place outside of Bellaire or Katy Asian town but I was glad to have stopped by and ordered. I wish the banh mi was a little more crispy the pickled veggies were tasty but they made the banh mi a little soggy... The thit nuong and bo nuong ( bbq pork & bbq beef ) were seasoned well and flavorful. The vermicelli were warm and the veggies were fresh. I did not try the fish sauce. I got full off the banh mi.. The egg roll was tasty but $2 for one is a little over priced. If they were 2 for $3 that would have been great. The ABC soup was on the salty side and a little on the oily side. I don't think we will get the soup again.. The best ABC soup is at Jasmine or Saigon Pagolac in SW Houston..I want to try something salmon next time maybe spring rolls. overall, the food was good. read more

This place looks fun, but it was not. Thought they might be closed because the staff looked inconvenienced when we walked in and didn't greet us. It was freezing also because they don't have a thermostat in there so it simply pulls in outside air. We asked what was good and the guy checking us out offered some suggestions. A lot of food is just sitting out which wasn't appealing. I guess it so they can quickly make something. I got the honey bbq vermicelli bowl and it was alright. Guess supply chain has prohibited them from getting bean sprouts because it was iceberg lettuce instead. Would have nice if they have a heads up instead of finding out when we got home. Eggs rolls were super greasy. Spring rolls were decent. Wasn't priced well for the value. Wouldn't go back with all the other options in Houston. read more

The concept is super cool! To-go or patio style! I chose patio style. The Tofu bowl was top notch; no soggy tofu! The flavors bounced back and forth between the rice, salad, dressing, and tofu! The menu items were carfully planned and it shows! I highly recommend a visit if you haven't been! read more

Cool design and vibe. Love the coloring. The food is overpriced for what it is. I'd pay the same price for better food. The banh mi was a 4 star and I would buy again if at the restaurant. The vermicelli was really lacking flavor - I would have preferred more diversity and tang within the dish. read more

I am sad to leave this review. I hate inconsistency. I used to love the salmon spring rolls but Saigon Hustle has been going down hill for quite some time. Today was the last straw. The amount of salmon in the roll was so small I could barely see it (less than half the normal amount), and it was so overcooked that parts were crunchy. Something was off about the noodles inside. And an odd taste crept in that is not normal. It was inedible unfortunately. For some reason the person who helped us asked if we had ever had the spring rolls before and that suggests she knew there was a problem. There's no reason the owners shouldn't be regularly checking the quality of the food their establishment is selling. If you don't care, then you risk losing your regular customers like me. read more

YUCK. I ordered spring rolls and they were absolutely gross. The pork was full of huge chunks of gristle. I spat out several bites that I could not chew before tossing them in the trash. I've never in my life been served a spring roll that was inedible. read more

The best item on the menu was the Saigon crepe spring rolls (dry and semi-crispy crepe with shrimp and pork). The side salad with lemon-garlic vinaigrette was good. All the different veggies made it unique. The veggie egg roll tasted better than the pork version. I liked the taro and peas in it. The pork egg roll had a recipe change so it has blended woodear mushrooms, which is mixed in the taro and looks like black pepper. The crispy tofu rice bowl was disappointing. I thought it would be dense fried tofu, but they're airy instead. There wasn't much flavor on it. The rice was too soft and wet. Since I opened it within a few minutes of getting it, it was unexpected. The pickled daikon and carrot didn't add to the taste or texture. I did like the salad mix (watercress, tomatoes, cucumbers, fried garlic) that was part of the bowl. The noodle version with a different protein would probably taste better. It's nice there are trash and recycle bins in the eating area. read more

Finally had the opportunity to try them today. The customer service was amazing, thanks so much Jeremy, Deedee, and Jessica for the great experience. Tried a few things on the menu and everything was delicious! Pretty over priced for what you get. Would not grab food from here again. I got a Bahn Mi and have had better elsewhere.

The food is good but every time we have ordered an eggroll we have never gotten one even though we pay for it. It has been 5 times now where we have ordered a side egg roll and paid for it and dont get it. It's fine if you forget one time, but 5 times??? What is going on. Don't think I can recommend this anymore because at this point it's like is this a scam? I know an egg roll isn't a big deal...but to forget the last 5 times is crazy...and annoying because we are paying for it. read more

Good, not great. Tried the Chicken & Ribeye banh mi, veggie egg rolls and pork/shrimp egg rolls. Beef was better than chicken, which was surprisingly dry despite some mayo. Be weary of substitutions or custom orders... every single sub/change on our order got missed. Food was 15 minutes late but they threw in a flan dessert on the house (nice touch). Be warned... Vietnamese vinaigrette is extremely fishy, the vegan version worked for us better. Hope they can get the customer service and orders right in the future. If so, it's a solid addition to GOOF. If you want banh me, I still think Thien Anh, Cali Sandwich (Midotown) or Les Baget are better. read more

I stopped off over here because I was already in the shopping center on other business. When I walked in, I was pretty new to Vietnamese food and had little idea what to expect. I settled on the rice bowl with honey soy barbequed chicken and a small Coke. After I ordered and paid, and proceeded out to the outdoor seating area to wait. The food came out in a relatively short time. Folks, I think I may have a new favorite restaurant (with drive-thru as an alternative to sitting on the patio on bad weather days). The lack of indoor seating really is the only quibble I can think of right now. I didn't try the egg rolls or any of the appetizers on this visit. I can easily see making the rice bowl my usual here, perhaps trying a different protein next time. I would definitely recommend trying this out, even if you're clueless about Vietnamese cuisine like I was. read more

Overall very mediocre Vietnamese food. Had really high hopes for this place thinking it would be like my og place to get bahn mi and abc soup but was really let down. Flavors aren't there for the bahn mi, bread wasn't good and meat was too sweet. ABC soup wasn't great at all, saw they had about 10 cups of abc noodles pre scooped/cooked in containers and all they did scoop luke warm broth. Service was not great at all. The cashier the day I went questioned my order when I read it directly from the menu and said they don't have it and even flipped their register over to me and I had to point it out to her ribeye vermicelli bowl vs beef vermicelli bowl (which was on their register button) undertrained unapologetic staff. read more
