A very OK pho spot in a good way! Family owned.. maybe even the locals favorite? They struck a nice balance between quality and value. I can't say much about the service because they left us alone after we ordered and got our food. Decided to start with their pho dac biet.. it's because I'm basic and also it's a decent benchmark. The broth was good, but the meat could've been better quality. I did appreciate the beef balls since not all restaurants use those. Definitely good enough for me to come back so I'm going to try their bun bo hue next time. read more

This was my first time coming here after a super long time. I'm glad I did because it was so good!! I got the BBH as always-- 9/10! Also tried Tofu Goi Cuon and it was so yummy! It's a spring roll that comes with lettuce, rice noodle, egg roll wrapper, and fried tofu. I loved the peanut sauce it came with as it really tied together the flavors. The egg roll wrapper also gave it a nice additional texture. My BF got the Bun Cha Vermicelli Bowl. It was also pretty good! 9/10, very filling Service was great, seems like a cute mom and pop shop. Service is good here. The owner was very nice to my daughter. He tries to make conversation with her. We ordered food to taste test before doing a catering order. The food comes out quick and its hot. Made to order goodness. The restaurant is filled with beautiful flowers feels like cherry blossom season year around. They open on Saturdays from 9a - 8pm and you can call in your catering order at least one day ahead. We will be back in a few weeks. read more

This is honestly a very delicious and best pho in the town. I went to a different pho place but regretted it instantly never will I do that again. I can say the broth of the the pho by itself was just so delicious it didn't even need any sauce or anything. I like to be extra and I love that spice on my pho so I always add sauce. Dunno how to explain but there is an extra level of comfort foodness in having a bowl of bun bo hue specifically in the Bay Area lol. The bun bo hue here is pretty solid. Nothing mind-blowing in terms of bun bo hue standards but still super flavorful and not overly salty at all. The noodles were a tad overcooked and strangely there weren't any pork blood cubes in the bowl. My sister ordered the com bo luc lac. I tried some of it and the beef was just okay. Not the most succulent and there was quite a lot of stir fried onions on the plate (amount was almost as much as that of meat). Overall a little overpriced for what it was. There's kinda a language barrier here but staff crew is very friendly. Restaurant is located in a medium-sized plaza. Had no trouble finding parking. read more

I was genuinely surprised how delicious the food is here. It was my first time trying this place and I loved everything we ordered! The interior was simple but cleverly decorated and they have both indoor and outdoor dining! The beef pho, fried egg rolls, and fresh spring rolls made a complete lunch and I literally devoured everything. I came on a Saturday for lunch around 12pm and it was busy with customers inside and take out orders. The food came out within 10 minutes of us ordering. The nem nuong spring rolls were so good, the crunchy rice paper and the pork were so yummy it reminded me of Brodard's in LA (just missing the sauce). The bun bo hue is now my favorite in the East Bay, I will definitely be back whenever I'm craving BBH. They use different meat (no pork hock, no tendon, no pork blood) but I don't mind since I don't really eat that when I get BBH. The pho was really solid too but meat quality isn't up there but it still hits the spot. Prices are still really good, all 3 came out to $40 before tip. My family orders from here on Uber Eats pretty often. At least 2x a month depending on activities maybe involving alcohol on the weekend. I could honestly eat Vietnamese food everyday. Striaightforward pho and competitive pricing. I don't understand other local pho restaurants charging 20+ bucks for a bowl of Pho Tai. It's price gouging at this point and I won't mention the restaurant we used to go to that exploited their workers AND upped the prices (J*** P**). We've tried everything from the pho, to the garlic noodles, to the vermicelli, to the banh mi...... Everything is so good and we we will continue to come here if the prices remain steady. Met up with the squad, apparently this was halfway for us. This place is not set up in a western way, the staff doesn't take the order at the table. Don't see this as a complaint, see it as a set up. You grab a menu and go to counter to order, picture a fast food counter but you save what you order from the menu instead of the screen. The beef pho is amazing!!!!! So was the spring rolls and the Korean bbq style ribs were delightful. Left super full, prices were reasonable, would recommend and return. It's packed on Sunday lunch so give yourself time to get a table. read more

I just went in to get some shrimp garlic noodles to pair with some deep fried chicken drums , the price for the noodles was reasonable considering the fact that they come with shrimp 15$ but on my way out I started to open my bag and they stared me down and asked what was I doing i replied I'm just checking to make sure I have soy sauce (which they did not provide) he replied u don't need it trust me so I'm thinking like okkkkk these are finna be fire NOOO GUYS THEY WERE DRYYY AND BURNT WITH NO FLAVOR WHAT SO EVER THEY DIDN'T SMELL LIKE GARLIC NOR TASTE LIKE IT HIGHLY UPSET. WATCH THE VIDEO!!!! I recently visited Saigon House in San Leandro hoping for a pleasant lunch. While the initial service was adequate, the entire experience was completely derailed by a severe cleanliness issue. Midway through our meal, we spotted a large, live cockroach visibly crawling up the wall right next to our table in the main dining area. This sighting immediately ruined our appetite and raised serious, non-negotiable questions about the fundamental sanitation and pest control standards of the entire establishment. Seeing pests in the public area suggests a much larger, ongoing problem in the kitchen and food storage areas. We discreetly notified a staff member, but the response was unfortunately insufficient to alleviate our concerns. For any restaurant, the health and safety of patrons must be the top priority, and a visible pest issue is simply unacceptable. I strongly advise management to perform an immediate, thorough inspection and implement rigorous pest control measures. Until these serious hygiene concerns are fully addressed, I cannot recommend dining at Saigon House. read more

Amazing price for amazing quality! The total for two dishes came out to be ~$35 with tip and it was a great experience! I got the pho with brisket and tendon which was so soft, flavorful, with great noodles! I loved the soup too, it was strong but it mixed well with the lemons and the bean sprouts. My sister also loved her beef short rib dish. The service was great! George was very cool and the server was very sweet when I asked her for more lemons. The dishes were brought out ~10 to 15 minutes after we ordered and we sat there for 30 minutes talking and no one minded. I also love how the utensils are wrapped, it was very clean and the sauce array was well organized too. They also have an extensive menu which was nice to see and learn about. read more

So happy I found a pho shop that has AC! We came on a pretty hot day but luckily the restaurant was cool inside. They also have outdoor seating! I ordered the bun bo hue and my friends ordered the combination pho. My bowl was good but definitely not the best. I tried the pho broth and it was pretty good, way better than my bowl. I would like to see their lemon grass recipe for their pork chop get applied to a bbq chicken cut. But I can't complain overall. The takeout is self serve, so you don't need to ask any of the staff for help, but I'm sure they would help if you asked. And if you don't want Vietnamese food, there are a lot of options in the area too. The inside is your typical busy restaurant full of chatter.

I pointed out the roasted peanuts in the dish and they pulled it back but I think they just removed the peanuts and revarnished the top because I ended up having an allergic reaction. There could have been a language barrier or not wanting to waste food but it was highly unsafe especially for really bad allergies. The dishes before I had the noodles were the calamari and the tempura. It was very crispy. The calamari was rather salty but overall, the texture was there. The rice rolls were soft, it was different from the regular Chinese pork (even shown in the pictures of the menu) but still pretty good. The servers needed to be flagged down to get help but they were proficient in timing the food. Very spacious area and lots of room seating.

The food here never disappoints! Ordered the large rare beef pho with extra beef on the side, the shrimp spring rolls and the fried potstickers. The pho is the best I've ever had. The broth is flavorful and seasoned to perfection. The soup is packed with meat and noodles. The spring rolls are fresh, the ingredients they use really make a difference in quality of the food. The fried potstickers are crunchy and delicious and the sauce they paired it with was sweet and balanced the flavor of the potstickers. I call ahead, so it is usually pretty quick, but lately they take longer than the given time for pick up. It is not the biggest deal though because the employee working the front end is usually pretty nice. I also like that they have a stamp card as well. I usually order their California Hand Roll, Sake Maki Hand Roll, Sake Maki Roll, and Sake Nigiri. I usually enjoy their salmon because it is fresh, but the last couple of times I went, the salmon did not taste fresh with a slight upset stomach. Hopefully the quality gets better again because I used to really like this spot.
