#12 Fried Chicken Wings & Rice

Bomb! The fried chicken wings tool about 20 minutes, however, well with the wait. Crispy and moist. The combo came with soup and a veggie egg roll. Definitely a winning spot! The price is right and the staff a righteous!

Been here a few times. The ladies who work here are amazingly friendly and excellent service. Cozy ambiance with good indoor seating with a couple of outdoor tables. Their Ga Hainan Chicken with rice here is excellent. So moist and delicious. Flavorful. Love the simple menu. Plenty of parking and located next to a grocery store where I occasionally go to buy our fruits. I recommend. Cheers!

Easy strip mall parking. As the name implies, they only have chicken, which is unusual (for me) as most pho places have beef. Anyways chicken is good for the soul. Quick service - water and menus right away. Menu is small so didn't take long to decide what to have. It's chicken or chicken. I ordered the Dine-In special #1: Chicken pho with ho fun noodles, fried won ton and Viet iced coffee. Wife had chicken pho. Big bowl of noods, chicken was cooked just right, juicy and tender. Broth had a lot of flavor but not overpowering. Ice coffee was on the strong side, but was fine after watering down a bit. Good food, great services, reasonable prices. I likey, will be back.

We came here over the weekend and had the chicken noodle soup special that came with a coffee and a dish of fried chicken dumplings. I had the plain noodle soup with pho noodles. We were pretty disappointed with the food. The broth did not have flavor like the pho we are used to having and we didn't feel the best afterward. The Vietnamese coffee was probably the best part of the meal. The guava juice was not listed under "canned drinks" but when I got it, it was canned, which I found odd about the discrepancy on the menu. Not sure we would return.

I am probably being generous with this review. We made amazingly good time driving back from LA today. We have found that most pho places close early, so we were glad we were able get her on time and support another new place. Quality/Quantity - Simple menu so I expected the broth and chicken to be so much better...? #4 Egg Noodles - Minimum flavor. The broth was barely okay. Generous chicken, but a skinny chicken with minimum meat. Next time I will get the boneless version. #5 Boneless Chicken with Ho Fun Noodles - The better of the two dishes. I did really like the green side ginger, and almost asked for more. My wife added sriracha which took it to the next level. Atmosphere - Small local business. Indoor and outdoor seating. Mostly to-go business... We were the only customers to eat indoors. Clean single unisex bathroom. Make sure you lock the door from the inside, see picture. Open 7 days a week from 9:30am to 7:30pm. Service - Counter service. Not friendly or unfriendly. Efficient. Self service room temperature water and tea. The employee was nice enough to offer us complimentary hot tea. She was efficient and friendly. Price - $32 + tip. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success at this location since 2021 and with your other location in Union City.

    #10. Chicken and rice. Delicious!

I came here during my lunch break last week. My co-worker loves going here since it is near and they are quick! Lots of seating. Menu is nice and simple and love the pictures. I got the chicken and rice. It comes with a bowl of soup too. It tastes so good! Lots of flavor in the rice. I love the ginger with my chicken and rice too. Food comes out super fast! Good since I am only on my lunch break from work. I feel like prices went up since the last time I went a few months ago though?? After tip and tax, this dish was $20 for me. Dang inflation or what.

Guaranteed good bowl of chicken noodle soup served here. Solid chicken, solid ginger scallion sauce, and hefty portion of noodles. A few doors down from the 88 market, Pho Ga 88 is where I decided to take my parents. We all got the #2. The chicken was tender and perfectly cooked. The broth was flavorful! Better yet, both parents enjoyed that they came back here themselves for lunch another day. Service was great and I'd come here again.

Came here because the other chicken noodle joint doesn't open until 11:30 or so. This won't be my first choice but if you are craving for chicken noodle, this is a descent place and gives a generous portion. The broth is on the sweater side and the ginger green onion filling sauce didn't have enough ginger.

Just started a new job and this was one of the restaurants I decided to try out. This is a no frills place and has 6 tables. For those of us who enjoy regular Pho but have friends who don't eat or like beef this is a great place. Ga is Vietnamese for Fowler or chicken. Everything on their menu is chicken. As as person who doesn't eat as much beef I can appreciate this spot. I also love that the menu is simple. Staff if polite and efficient. I ordered the classic chicken pho which comes with a quarter chicken cut up, bones and skin. No wondering where the meat is. It was quiet flavorful. Will definitely be back on my lunch break in the near future.

#1 Chicken Pho tasty noodles and broth.

The broth here is really tasty. The service was fast and friendly. I like the chicken, moist and tender, but dish I order was served with bones. Which is just not my preference for a soup dish. But I still enjoyed the flavor and high quality. The place is clean and well lit, but I had takeout

Our 19th hole here for lunch. Or rather our 10th hole as we walked off the golf course after the 9th hole due to constant rain yesterday. We needed something warm and hot. What better than a bowl of hot soup. In this case chicken pho. The seven of us sat at two tables butted together. Menu wise - a double sided hard cardboard menu with pictures of each numbered menu item. There's also a neon menu posted above the order/ cashier counter. The slight difference is that appetizers are listed on the neon menu. The server came over and took our orders. What hubby & I ordered- #1. Pho Ga - this was my order. A very generous portion size of noodles with good portion size of poached chicken. Good tasting broth. #8. Fried chicken over soup noodles. Hubby's order. Similar to mine except fried chicken served on the side. I tasted a piece. Crispy. Each person got a small dish of minced green and ginger in oil for dipping. And those with fried chicken got a spicy red dipping sauce too. I also liked how each person ordering soup noodles got his/her own dish of jalapeños with warm bean sprouts that you add to your soup noodles. You have a choice of noodles - pho, egg, ho fun, or vermicelli. We both went with pho noodles. Pro tip: anything that says fried or crispy you'll need to allow 20 minutes. Ga in Cantonese means chicken. Hence the speciality here is chicken. Poached, fried, steamed etc. Some of my group ordered #11 - looked very yummy. Big hearty offering. I might try this on my next visit. Service was quick and efficient. Those of us that didn't order fried got our orders sooner. However the kitchen can sync the orders to come all at once. Located in a small strip mall where the anchor store is an ethnic supermarket. We parked onsite.

If you like chicken pho, this is the place to go. If you don't like chicken pho, then I wouldn't bother. The service is quick, and the pho pretty much comes out right the way. This is a no frill chicken pho place, and in case you don't know Pho Ga literally means Pho Chicken. I also order the spring roll and nowadays, 5.99 for two shrimp spring roll is a bargain.

Then, as much as we loved the banh mi, the banner and the sidewalk sign advertising them as a new lunch option last year seemed almost like they were really, really trying to pull in more people any way they could. Every time I walked past this place, it was either empty or there were one to two tables with guests at a time. So when the word finally broke a few days ago that the owners have sold the place and are closing, I felt really sad, but wasn't surprised. It's definitely the end of an era, and is one of those longtime San Leandro restaurants in this strip of E 14th that has a comforting, early 2000s vibe -- and is now gone, like so many before them. It's frustrating, especially because the likelihood of them possibly getting replaced by a chain or yet another taqueria or Chinese place is high (though they apparently don't know what will be moving in after them). Dropped by yesterday with my husband for a final lunch. He got the bun bo hue and I got the yellow curry stir fry and fried rice. Everything was hot, fresh, and delicious, and the restaurant was nearly entirely full with people having their own last meals and saying their goodbyes to the owners. While the owner was incredibly nice, service was terrible. She was overworked, working the counter, packing up to-go orders, taking table orders, bringing out food, AND bussing tables alone. The party next to us was a little frustrated that she still hadn't come by to take their order and went to the counter to flag her down. I don't know how much longer Le Soleil would've remained viable if service has been like this for months. It's a sad situation, but I wish nothing but the best for the owners, especially if they decide to open another restaurant in the future.

We were greeted and seated right away. Our order was taken in a timely manner. We ordered the Oxtail pho, banh mi xiu mai, bot chien, and an avocado smoothie. Our food came out pretty quick minus the bot chien which the server said usually takes awhile. Oxtail pho was as good as we remember. Oxtail was fall off the bone, actually, all the meats in the pho were very tender, which we love. Banh mi xiu mai was all right. I felt like something was missing, but I can't figure out what it is.
