I really wanted to like this place. We actually came here about 2 years ago with a bunch of friends, multiple families before heading to Great Wolf Lodge. For whatever reason we remembered it as amazing. I think we were all hangry from the drive and traffic and created a group experience. Ending our short mini staycation with the kids, we came back to this place and ordered up a storm full of food. I mean, I went for the works! For XL pho, it felt very medium and the pieces of beef were quite sad. All the appetizers were okay, nothing to write home about (egg rolls, spring rolls, chicken wings, tofu). I was also bummed that my Vietnamese iced coffee came from a can. You know it when it's fresh. All-in-all it's a 3-star experience. It's not terrible and not great. Walk in at 11:15am. The restaurant looks like a big trash house full of litters left behind everywhere from previous night. Ordered a bowl of Pho. The broth tastes like hot water added with MSG. In a pinch, I would come here for a last minute Vietnamese dish for dinner since it's close to home. Overall, quality and quantity could use some improvement. For the price point, I was expecting a tad more protein in my dishes. The Mi Xao Don Hai San was crispy fried egg noodles (which was fried nicely, not overly oily) but the sauce only filled up half the to-go container and was a darker oily color compared to other restaurants. There were also only a couple shrimps and squid pieces in the mix. The Bun Thit Nuong was also disproportionate in the meat to noodle ratio. The meat was seasoned well (borderline too much seasoning), which meant not too much fish sauce could be used. Eeks. While conveniently close by to my house, I'd probably avoid coming back for vermicelli noodles that I ordered. I ordered bbq chicken vermicelli noodles and am pretty sure they just gave me boiled chicken with some seasoning. The veggies and mixture was very bland. I have been here before, like most desperate to get Asian food outside of great wolf lodge and I don't think it's ever fair to judge pho in take out but I came here again live today as I needed that amazing Tesla super charger in the back The place was completely empty on a lunch weekend day which was weird but was greeted right away by the older man. He was very attentive and pleasant the whole time. Food was all decent , pho was ok decent and nothing special but the rolls and fried rice was simply spectacular and made up for it. I get the reviews here complaining about the cleanliness as the restrooms were kind of gross. Overall still a much better experience than take out read more

We stopped by this place for dinner on a Friday night while staying at the Great Wolf Lodge. It was close, convenient, and had good reviews. It was surprisingly quiet when we got there but we do tend to eat dinner early around 5:30/6 pm. The waitress was very nice. We did have to ask for things like napkins and utensils that she forgot, and when we asked for our to go box she took a while so I just went up to pay and get it myself. The restaurant was still not busy, just one other family there. The food was overall good. We got the egg rolls, pho, and chicken fried rice. The egg rolls were hot, fresh, and crispy. Flavor was good. It is on the lighter side since it comes with fish sauce that you can dip it in. The pho was good as well. Has the authentic beef broth flavor and was very flavorful. Almost too flavorful, which is rare for me to say. I do not eat bland at all. The pho has a lot of green onions and cilantro in it. Just something to keep in mind. The steak and meatballs that I got were tender and good. I think the pho broth can be a little lighter and people can add their own sauces and things that they like. The fried rice was good as well. Good texture and not too dry or mushy. Again, almost a little too flavorful. No need to add anything to it other than sriracha if you like spicy. Our young boys enjoyed the food, so overall a good experience. Lastly, keep in mind they do live Vietnamese music Friday - Sunday nights starting at 8 pm, so it does get quite loud and may not be the best for young kids, unless you're looking to party. Lol. One of the worst Vietnamese restaurant I've been to. The place is dirty, half the room is full of messy furniture. We waited over 5mins just to get our Menus. The food is very very blend with no flavor. Meat tasted old. The rice is so hard and dried like they scraped the left over. Yes, we politely asked for another side of just rice because we already accepted that nothing else is going to improve...and the replacement "rice" is exactly the same when they brought it out. Some of us tried our best and finish half of our food the other only took a few bites. The kids refused to eat their's....yea, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. This is a very convenient and close Vietnamese restaurant to the Great Wolf Lodge. It's a nice alternative to the regular food at the lodge and is pretty standard to the other Vietnamese options in the area. I ordered takeout over the phone and the employee was bilingual and took my order quick and correct. The food took only about 15 minutes to prepare for pick up. Their menu is quite extensive and the quantities are large. The quality of the food was average and not much better than other locations in Little Saigon. But it fills the craving for Vietnamese food and solid with freshness. The restaurant looked lively with the band playing on a Saturday night. I recommend this place if you are staying at the Great Wolf Lodge because it's decent food and better than most of the lodge's food. read more

I went today and I've gone here before. I love the pho. But there was literally no one there. At all. Not a single customer. I was the only one and I tapped the bell several times. No one showed up so I went to Pho Nam Dinh across the street. It was also kind of dark in there too. The place was open but no one came to the counter. Quite possibly the worst Vietnamese food we have ever had. I blame myself for being too lazy to drive to Westminster but it was late and my Vietnamese wife was getting hungry. Upon entering, there was only one table of customers. This should have been a warning. We ordered Goi Cuon and 2 Pho Dac Biet. It took almost 15 minutes for our food to arrive and this was with no customers. Goi Cuon should have shrimp and pork wrapped in vermicelli. This only had shrimp, they must have run out of pork. The accompanying sauce should be peanut based with a thick viscosity, this tasted like watered down hoisin sauce. Pho broth should be clear almost like consommé, this was cloudy almost white with none of the characteristics showing charred vegetables or stock bones. Dac Biet should come with 4 different types of meat with one being rare. Our meat was all bunched up, unrecognizable and over microwaved. The noodles started breaking apart as I tried to eat them telling me they were either old or seriously over cooked. As a final insult, some old guy got up and started singing bad karaoke as we were trying to eat. read more

Worst Pho I have ever had, the broth was salty, we couldn't taste any other favors but salt. We ordered a large bowl of pho but the portion was so little it felt like a small bowl. My friends and I came here for a quick lunch and were pleasantly surprised at how good it was. We got the Pho Tai Chi, the Banh Xeo, and the Com Bo Luc Lac "shaken beef". This hole-in-the-wall joint was hot...either their A/C was broken or they didn't want to turn it on. Either way, this is already bad service. I ended up getting the pho tai (steak) and I liked the broth, but the noodles were pretty bad. You know a noodle is bad when it snaps easily, but, upon chewing it, feels powdery in your mouth. We finally get our correct items and had to get utensils from another table because ours didn't have any. Tables that aren't occupied were still covered in dirty dishes. Really satisfies the craving. We were staying at GWL next door and were tired of eating pizza and chicken strips so we came here. It's a 5 min walk from GWL. Pho tai with bo vien was tasty. The broth and meat was good. And! They have real Sriracha which is hard to find these days. The fried rolls and spring rolls (we got both the grilled pork and the shrimp) were tasty. A little small but good portion size for 2 for $5. There looked to only be one person in front of the house but Emaly was fast, friendly, and helpful. I came here at the recommendation of a friend when I mentioned I was craving pho. Pho is a wonderful, comfort food, especially when it is raining! This place is located in a shopping mall really close to the nickel nickel. It is a quaint little place. When I noticed there was a drum set set up I asked the server if there were any live events and they confirmed that there is space for private events and also stage for live events. The servers or excellent, very friendly. I had amazing service this evening. I ordered both spring rolls, and egg rolls. And I had the combination pho. The spring rolls were amazing and the eggrolls were also wonderful. I love them both, and you really can't go wrong with either one! The combination pho was also wonderful. The meats were sliced properly. (I've had pho nearby from several other places where the meat were cooked incorrectly, and or sliced incorrectly, which makes a very big difference in the texture of the meal). And I was very pleasantly surprised that this place made it correctly, considering that to other places locally did it in a manner I did not like. I only tried the spring rolls here a few times so far since it is local to me. The spring rolls took about 10 mins to make and cost about $12 for four rolls. The peanut sauce is pairs well with the spring rolls. I just wish I had more sauce, but that is me that I like dipping lots of sauce. I got fresh chili too. The restaurant looks like it gets lively on the weekends. They have a side for live music. Haven't seen it yet. Maybe one day I'll visit on the weekends. read more

Great Vietnamese food at very great prices! For a hole-in-the-wall place like this, the quality of service and taste of the food was better than what I expected. Coming here with a friend after a long day at DCA was a great idea. We wanted something comforting, and this place definitely fit the bill. We both shared an order of spring rolls and a large #15 pho. The pho was full to the brim with noodle, beef and other ingredients galore. It came with a generous side of bean sprouts, basil, lime and chilis. Compared to other pho places, this was what I expected and was not disappointed at all. The spring rolls were filled with sliced pork, vermicelli, and fresh veggies. It was served with nuoc mam on the side, which went very well with the spring rolls. Service was quick and efficient, and we got what we wanted without any issue. One thing of note is that they charge $0.50 for every card transaction, which was a slight surprise.
