In addition to being rude and rough with my face, Ghita applied very hot wax to my right eye and severely burned my eyelid. I still have scarring. She yelled at me in front of all the customers and employees when I showed her my burn and refused to speak in the back. She told me to never come back and said "clearly you're having a bad day." I am new to Denver area and wanted to get my eyebrows done. Found Shalei Eyebrow threading and went there. Did my Eyebrow threading and they did good. After reading reviews, I took appointment for waxing and henna. They did good job on henna for hair. Next was waxing and I had a very horrible experience. First off, two off them wax you 'together'. They try to save on waxing strips and do a bad job of waxing. They don't show enough decency to treat you like a human being. You're just a client and they need to get done with. They ask me to change, but I didn't as I was prepared. Then two ladies start (one I think is onwer), doing legs together, followed by arms together and then underarms together. It was a nightmare. They applied wax and pull off the hair on both legs simultaneously. Wax was little hot, but it was ok for legs and I could bear it. Later it was hands and I could feel my hands were burning after coming home. It's 5 days after waxing, I could still see the scars on my hands and underarms. It was like I came home with skin ripped on my arms and marks on my legs and I can see few hairs on my legs. They took just 20 minutes waxing my full legs, arms and underarms. Imagine the pain. I recommend you to NOT go there for waxing. Its not worth it. There are other better parlor which does decent job for the price you pay. read more

I got a facial last week and it was about the most painful experience I've ever had. After looking at my skin for less then a minute she had suggested to do an extraction. She explained that is what I needed for my skin and that it would be red for a couple of days. After a couple of days my face would look flawless. I asked if I could cover it with me makeup she said yes but wait for at least 5 hours. During the session she applied some products with an excruciating burning sensation on my face. I nearly cried and I asked her to remove it because I could not tolerate the pain. She told me it was because it was my first time getting a facial. I wasn't sure if that was normal but I felt my entire face on fire. The next day my face started showing some black dots like scaring all across my forehead. Thank God for foundation. The second day I noticed my face extremely rough in some spots like I've never in my entire life had before!!! The third day my face started peeling off. This is such an inconvenience to me because as a business owner looking like this is so embarrassing. I had to cancel some appointments with clients but I cannot show up with my face looking like a disaster. I am writing this review because I regret my decision of coming here for a facial. I'm kicking myself for not doing better research. Do not do a facial at a eyebrow threading place. I'm also writing a review because I was not told of the process or not sure if this was even a normal reaction. But the burning was definitely not normal. I also called this place and explained what had happened the person who did my facial apologized after telling what had happened. Did not even bother to offer to give me my money back despite the inconvenience I had gone through this week at work! All she suggested was to moisturize my skin and to wait at least a week. Had I been told during my consultation that my entire face would peel off I would have not agreed to do this process. If you are an unhappy customer be prepared to be told well next time we will make it better. Don't expect any other type of response when it comes to getting a solution here for an unhappy customer. No there is no next time for me! Ps: After posting my review on google the owner told me that I do not what the meaning of a facial is and they are the experts. Therefore having my entire face peel off and was not consulted and told this would happen it's more than ok on their books. You cannot skip that important factor during a consultation. I am a cosmetologist so I do know about this. Either way, Whatever happened to the customer is always right? So definitely a zero for me on how poor they respond to a customers complaint. This review is based on one visit so I can't say that I had multiple bad experiences. However, I wasn't happy with the service and Gita did my eyebrows. I was from out of town and needed my brows done so I visited this location and requested Gita. She was friendly, but only spent a couple of minutes on my eyebrows. Afterward, I noticed that they were lopsided and that she had taken off the ends so that they looked short. I regularly have my eyebrows threaded so I was disappointed since it's usually a great great service. I tried to explain my eyebrows and and the style I was looking for before the service began, but Gita didn't appear to listen. I was disappointed and would not return. read more

I will drive from Littleton to Aurora because they're fast, efficient and good at what they do. Every time I have come in, I have never waited longer than 10 minutes to get my eyebrows done. I have also never been in the chair for longer than 10 minutes. Thirteen dollars will get your brows on point and your upper lip free of hair. This place has ruined my skin. They might be good at threading but I've gone here for waxing for a few months now and walked out with skin damage every single time. On Friday 6/28/18, I walked out with burns that are now oozing with puss. My skin broke out in acne and pimples after my first face and back wax and I should have known better and not gone back. I'm currently being seen by a dermatologist for what Gita and Ase have done to me. These women are arrogant to appointment times, hygiene, and I highly doubt they are properly certified. I came in and had a very very short wait, they did a fine job on my eyebrows, it hurt but of course it would hurt it rips your hair out with a string. Overall it was pretty good, the only complaint I have is that the bed side manner was a little lacking because they were clearly in a hurry to get people in and out. I was excited to try this place--and, sadly, terribly disappointed. The threading was very professional & well-done. The leg waxing was all right, although I did end up pretty sticky--but they used strip wax on the underarm and bikini areas, leaving me bruised and stinging. It also wasn't very thorough. I would recommend the threading any day, leave the legs up to you--it's a good rate--and tell you to STAY AWAY from any bikini, underarm, or brazilian waxing. I just moved to the area and needed to find a new place to thread my face. that also didnt make a whole in my pocket. For those not familiar with threading, it removes the hair with a thread leaving barely no redness, or at least for less than an hour. My face gets hairy/ fuzzy every month and a half which thankfully they are blond so I notice them more than anything. A full face thread is $20, which is not bad at all (use to paying $20-30 plus tip). I called before going and very nicely told me that she was busy at the moment and to come after 4pm - which I prefer than making me wait for hours. When I arrive there was a short wait of 1 person plus one in chair finishing up. When I was leaving there was1 person waiting for a facial and more coming for threading. I'll say the wait is worth it. THE EXPERIENCE She is very fast but also detailed and precised (good for eyebrows); it has been over a week and still cannot see patches. She even did a great job in my sideburns that I normally wax myself b/c they are thicker to pull. I do not let people do my eyebrows because I like the natural look. She promised she wouldn't touch the shape and so she did a great job by only cleaning the hair around eyebrows. First time that ever happens! If you are into the hygiene thing, she does hold it with her mouth like is common but also wears gloves. read more

I know this business is known for eyebrow threading. I don't get my eyebrows threaded, I've only ever gone for arm waxing and I recently went to get an under arm wax before a trip to Vegas, BIG Mistake ! The girl who waxed my underarms actually burned the crap out of them :'( First of all the wax was super hot, I told her a few times that the wax was burning and she "attempted" to lower the heat but the wax remained as it had been. I could feel the hot wax, despite my attempt to have her make it feel at least tolerable. I let her keep going and figured I'd be over soon, but she kept ripping off the paper over and over. After she added baby oil and within 1/2 hr my under arms were burning ! They hurt so bad and things just got worse. My skin looked and felt horrible. I wasn't able to wear deodorant seriously for a week. I had to only apply Neosporin :( I was in Vegas with bad underarms and couldn't wear tops with sleeves because my skin would rub up against it and outch !! I won't be going back, I was would get my arms waxed because it was cheap but I'll be going else where even if it's more $ for a descent service. read more
