At first I was nervous about the idea of getting my hooha de-carpeted in someone's private home but the fair prices and good reviews trumped that apprehension. So I made an appointment after seeing how Jena advertised on her website that she'd always make an effort to squeeze you into her schedule. I really liked how accessible she was and I liked how easy it was to make an appointment. Day of the appointment, Jena sends a reminder text and tells me she'll have her door open for me so I don't have to wait in the cold for her to come to the door. My nervousness quickly dissipated because she was easy to communicate with and seemed very friendly. The neighborhood is very new and nice and Jena's home is also very inviting, clean and professional. The waxing room had professional equipment and I felt very comfortable and at ease the entire time. Like everyone else said, Jena's super easy to talk to. She also has two cute doggies who are very friendly and adorable (and are confined to an area during the session- so if you're afraid of dogs then no worries- they wont be in your way). I liked that the TV was on during the waxing because it was a nice distraction. Jena was quick and made the experience as good as a waxing experience can get. Jenna is totally amazing. I go to see her for an eyebrow waxing and a brazilian regularly. Lets face it, getting a Brazilian is not pleasurable, unless you are into pain, but she always lets me take breaks as needed. And in comparison to other waxing corporations that I have been to, she doesn't hurt nearly as bad. She has a way of making you feel comfortable and relaxed. She provides her services out of her home but her treatment room is always clean and inviting. I've never been waxed before and I found the website for this place and it had amazing reviews so I called and made an appointment for a bikini wax. The woman who runs it is soooo amazingly friendly and professional at the same time. I'm moving to another state and am sad that I'll have to find so done else for my beauty needs. She's got a tv in the room and will turn it to whatever you want so as to help take your mind off of things. I mostly go for the waxing but I did get a facial done and enjoyed it as well. Best waxing experience of my life. Seriously! I was sick of going to my usual waxing place in DTC & LoDo, because I wasn't happy with the service and the people there. So last night I found myself Googling waxing in my area and Aurora Waxing Salon came up. I got an appointment for today (I called this morning) and there I was at 11:00 a.m. She has a price list on her website - completely reasonable!!!! Jennifer is the owner and the one who did my brow and lip wax. I felt like I had known her forever!!! The room was beautiful and clean and I felt completely comfortable. She used a gentle honey wax on me and chatted with me the entire time. It was nearly pain free (well the lip hurt a little, but not bad). My eye brows look fabulous, like really, really fabulous. She also does facials, massage and teeth whitening. All which I intend on giving a try. I also talked with her about my struggles with adult acne. First thing she asked is "Do you drink milk?" Yes, yes I do drink milk - in my coffee, I eat string cheese, I like sour cream and she suggested that be the culprit leading to my acne issues. Why has nobody suggested this before? Not even my doctor!!! So I'm going dairy free for awhile and keeping my fingers crossed. The fact that she took the time to talk to me about my struggles and give me such a logical (and scientifically proven) suggestion that nobody else has just gives me the warm fuzzies. She also sells high end facial stuff by Bioelements. I could've stayed there all day chatting with her. I really want to book a facial and a massage ASAP.
