Went here for my first ever Brazilian Wax and had an awesome experience. Not only did the wax they use seem to hurt less but Sara was easy to talk to and made the time fly by. Every time I have gone in there, she has been speedy and painless. I tried going to a different place due to last minute booking, and my experience was no where near as pleasant as it has been with It's a Girl Thing. I recommend this place to all of my friends and I definitely recommend it to you! The only reason they lost a star is because the lack of promotional events or discounts. After your first time you get a coupon for $20 off a new person, however you get nothing for bringing that new customer in which is kind of a let down. read more

I have been seeing Lara now for years and she is truly amazing! Lara performs dermaplaning and skin pen treatments on me. When I get the two together the results are amazing. I saw a new dermatologist and she asked me what I do to care for my skin, I told her about these treatments and she said my skin was like someone 10 years younger! The skin pen has reduced my pores and fine lines. You get pretty much immediate results. A little red the next day, but nothing bothersome. I can wait to see Lara next month. read more

I have worked with all three proprietors here for their various services and they are fantastic. Had been going to Sara for the Novalash -- she is gentle and sweet! Unfortunately, I developed a reaction to the Novalash glue so had to switch to Lara for Volumlash. Whoa, these are more expensive but they look incredible. Lara is simply terrific -- very talented with the lashes. I have had so many compliments that I feel the money is well worth it. So great and includes a dermaplane! This is also the place to come for waxing Brazilian bikini wax. Quick relatively painless and 40 bucks! Wow. What can I say? I walked into It's a Girl Thing looking like a baby bird. I have blonde eyelashes that are non-existent most of the time. Kristi worked quickly and within an hour, I had darker curled lashes. Bye-bye bird! Kristi gave me the Elleebana lash curl perm and tint. I can't believe my own lashes look so good! Finally found a place close to home and on my way to work. Sara was able to accommodate my last minute waxing appointment. Pricing (for their waxing services) at this boutique salon are very competitive and reasonable. I know everyone talks about their chocolate wax, but THEIR CHOCOLATE WAX. IT. IS. WONDERFUL. It does smell like a Tootsie Roll! It also leaves your skin baby soft. Everything took about 15 minutes; quicker than normal with better results it seems! Sara is fabulous; location is totally random but very convenient for me living in Denver/Aurora and working out of Englewood. I definitely recommend. read more

The office is great, and the staff is very professional. I just wanted to make sure to put in a couple of notes for anyone going in to get eyelash extensions (i.e, things I learned the hard way). I got eyelash extensions and was a little disappointed to learn that they don't do bottom lashes too. Mine were not for every day life, but rather for my wedding photos. As such, I think they would have looked far more dramatic had I had both bottom and top. Also, it is very expensive. Though I understand you want to make sure you get a good set to avoid even more issues, you can find it cheaper elsewhere. That being said, I definitely appreciated having it done the right way in a clean office. I wasn't told in advance that I'd need an additional $50 kit on top of the price to clean my lashes, brush them, and use special mascara. My eyelashes apparently flickered on one eye, and my lashes on that eye stuck to the bottom so that several fell out right away. They weren't corrected. After the fact: When the lashes fall off, you will be left with half lashes or missing lashes. Since I had the flickering issue above, my eyelashes didn't fall out evenly and I was left with one eye that looked fine and full after one week, but the other looked ridiculously off. Also, I wasn't told a ton about maintenance aside from making sure I brush and condition them with the kit contents. The biggest inconvenience is cleaning your face and taking showers. I ended up at a spa a couple of days later, and the technican actually told me how to mind the lashes... cover your eyes from the top in the shower and allow the water to trickle in. Then, pad them dry, upwards, with a towel. All and all, it wasn't a bad experience because this place really does take all the steps you want somewhere to take, but I'd maybe check around for a cheaper place if $200 seems a little much for eyelashes and/or go with the stick on kind for a special event. read more

The IGT office is so cute and comfortable and really provides a great atmosphere. Kristi is super sweet and great at what she does. I am very impressed with It's a Girl Thing. When I started seeing Kristi I had terrible skin! I went to a dermatologist, spent all kinds of money, was seeing no results and very discouraged, and to the point of tears. I made an appt. based on a recommendation and wow, what a difference! Kristi helped my skin turn around with peels, dermaplaning, and advice about lifestyle and skin. Holy cow it feels so good to be off of that harsh stuff the dermatologist gave me, and using items around the house and my skin has never looked better! (I wish I could show before and after pictures!) Since I have been seeing Kristi regularly, she talked me into a massage. I was in heaven. She gave me a thai massage, which you have to understand what you are getting into, it is a massage/stretch and very active. I have never felt so amazing after a massage, and I am so PICKY about my rub downs! I really appreciate a business that is after helping their customers and not trying to push expensive products, or a package of services once you start. Highly upsetting. The person who did my derma plane plus didn't give me any info as to what the expectations will be. I told her that I have never had a peel and derma plane before. She said that I may be a little pink but it shouldn't be too bad. As she was putting the peel on she said that perhaps I should've done just a moisturizing mask (too late now!) the peel was painful and I was red! I did not know that I would be peeling and uncomfortable for days!! I have a couple functions to go to this weekend and it's going to be very awkward with skin hanging off my face. Next time I will go somewhere where they actually care and communicate the expectations. read more
