It is one of the two locations located at the Arizona State University Tempe Campus. Every now and then, when I need something on the way home from work or to work, I will stop by here out of convenience. I have interacted with the staff, purchased various products, and browsed the shelves for other items over the years. The store is sometimes a bit messy and sometimes very clean. It really depends on the day I stop by. For the most part, the store is easy to navigate. The staff is very friendly and helpful though sometimes it is difficult to find the staff in the store as the front of the store can be considered the back of the store, and the back of the store can be considered the front of the store due to registers on both sides. They also have products like ASU spirit items and clothing, which you won't find at all CVS stores. I have rarely ever waited to check out at this store. I encourage everyone to sign up for ExtraCare, which is a free membership and includes sales prices, deals for you, 2% back in ExtraBucks rewards, a $3 birthday reward, and up to $50 in ExtraBucks rewards at the pharmacy. Then, for $60 per year ($5 per month), you can purchase membership in the ExtraCare+ program, which includes $10 in ExtraBucks rewards per month, free same-day delivery, free shipping, free same-day Rx delivery, 20% off CVS Health brand products, and 24/7 pharmacist help line. Occasionally, there is a $48 discounted annual rate for ExtraCare+ or another promotion. I have heavily used the ExtraCare+ program over the past many years. Also, while the Black Friday CVS deals were incredible a number of years ago, now you can only get good deals but not incredible deals with free items. While I'm a huge fan of CVS in general and the ExtraCare+ program, the stores are hit or miss. I will gladly still come back to this store as need be in the future as it is certainly convenient, and I can get what I need here.

I…read moreregularly get Depo administered at CVS Minute Clinics so I was shocked that I was denied a service provided at the Minute Clinic due to a service provider's beliefs. I can understand exercising conscientious objection if you work at a private practice but the CVS Minute Clinic is not that. There was not another provider on staff who could administer Depo for me. Asserting her religious objection to fulfilling her professional obligation negatively impacted my health and access to care. As a medical provider, it is her duty to do no harm yet her refusal to administer Depo caused harm. Medical providers have a responsibility to respect patient autonomy. I have no qualms with her personal beliefs but allowing her beliefs to interfere with her professional duties, as a CVS employee, limits access to care. She should find alternative employment as she expected me to find alternative care.

Despite its $13-14 price tag and over-the-counter status, my insurance has always covered it, yet they insisted otherwise without offering real help. In contrast, when I contacted the Walgreens on E McDowell Rd, the difference was immediate. Although they were out of stock, they explained that their usual supplier no longer carries the product and offered to order it from a new provider. That level of effort and transparency was exactly what I needed. Because of this, I've transferred all my prescriptions to the E McDowell location. They even call to notify you if a prescription will be delayed--something the previous location never did. Their professionalism and customer care are a breath of fresh air. Other CVS locations around the country will lower the partitions when it's close to their lunch time. Not here. Instead, student pharmacist just barked to other customers "we're closed!"
