It's like can we seriously go to a Walgreens store without everything being locked up due to hire security or something.

Everyone at this pharmacy is unhappy and I can surely see why. They are super busy with customer after customer after customer. I signed up online for 2:15 PM appointment, and when I arrived, there was a long line, and I was expected to stand in it. This is the first problem. Senior citizens and elderly people should not be asked to stand for long periods of time. Many of us can't do it. There were chairs, but if you sat in one, you wouldn't have a place in the line. The second problem is that they ask you to answer several questions online and when you get to the pharmacy, they hand you a sheet and you have to answer the exact same questions again! I asked why and the pharmacy intern said something like the system doesn't always catch it. I thought it was a big baloney excuse, but they are so busy. I can understand why they just say anything to keep things moving. Third, Walgreens does not even attempt to honor the appointment time. Just join the crowds waiting. I finally got my shots 40 minutes after my appointment time. Lastly, pharmacist was rude to me. He asked me my name and I gave him my name and birthdate because that is what medical situations typically want. He yelled at me for giving my birthday and said he doesn't want a lot of extra information. I think this is a clear sign of stress on this man's part because I don't think there's any reason he would've treated me that way otherwise. I said nothing else because I didn't want him to yell at me again. It was really uncomfortable. I don't think a lot of senior citizens look at Yelp so if you are young, if you are reading this and if you have elderly relatives, steer them away from this Walgreens pharmacy.

While I have CVS Pharmacy locations closer to where I live, I drive by this particular location…read moreevery so often on the way home from work. Every now and then, I will stop by here out of convenience on the way to or from work. I have interacted with the staff, purchased random items, and browsed the shelves over the years. I do appreciate the MinuteClinic at this store and have used it a few times in the past. Tonight, I stopped by to use a coupon, and while I found plenty of an item, the price on the shelf was incorrect as there was also a promotion going on, but as I have noticed previously, the shelves have been missing the promotion price on them. The store is sometimes a bit messy and sometimes very clean. It really depends on the day I stop by. There are seasonal items a few rows in from the entrance though sometimes they extend further to the left side of the store (further away from the entrance). While staffing seems to be quite minimal at this store (or so it seems), the staff have been helpful when I have asked for assistance. If there is someone near the front of the store, they have often said hello when I have entered the store. Sometimes they are stocking items on the aisles until someone is ready to check out. Sometimes there is a wait for someone to come and assist at checkout if you aren't using the self-checkout machines. The staff have always been knowledgeable based on items in stock. I have had issues using some of the coupons before, but it really depends on the cashier. I encourage everyone to sign up for ExtraCare, which is a free membership and includes sales prices, deals for you, 2% back in ExtraBucks rewards, a $3 birthday reward, and up to $50 in ExtraBucks rewards at the pharmacy. Then, for $60 per year ($5 per month), you can purchase membership in the ExtraCare+ program, which includes $10 in ExtraBucks rewards per month, free same-day delivery, free shipping, free same-day Rx delivery, 20% off CVS Health brand products, and 24/7 pharmacist help line. Occasionally, there is a $48 discounted annual rate for ExtraCare+ or another promotion. I have heavily used the ExtraCare+ program over the past many years. Also, while the Black Friday CVS deals were incredible a number of years ago, now you can only get good deals but not incredible deals with free items. While I'm a huge fan of CVS in general and the ExtraCare+ program, the stores are hit or miss. I will gladly still come back to this store as need be in the future as I hope that CVS provides the store with more resources to get more staff members.

If you're thinking of heading to this CVS late at night--don't. Google says this location closes at…read more12am, but the store actually shuts down at 10. Glad Yelp has it right because they wouldn't correct it regardless. Misinformation aside, the service here is consistently abysmal. Walgreens had a sign up that they had closed at 7pm due to unforeseen circumstances. So I accepted my fate and tried to make it quick and painless. I guess my hopes were too high. Tonight, I had the misfortune of experiencing the impotent manager KADY proudly display her lack of problem solving skills, critical thinking and emotional intelligence, all of which are required for effective leadership. I don't expect a red carpet to be rolled out at CVS. But how about some basic professionalism? I'll even settle for the bare bones minimum. Instead, the consistent experience at CVS is disdain, laziness, and passive-aggressive manipulation from employees who clearly hate their jobs and want customers to know it. CVS: If you're listening, please stop putting people in leadership roles who lack the patience, competence, or emotional maturity to handle customers. You may be a giant corporation, but every single bad experience diminishes your already struggling reputation. People always remember how they're treated. And I, for one, am over paying premium prices just to be disrespected by discount employees who act like they're doing me a favor by showing up for work. Please do better.

Pros: Spacious, well stocked: This CVS is well organized, large and spacious. It is extra cool in the summer-- the AC is blasting, and upbeat music is always playing! Friendly employees: The employees here are friendly and helpful-- they will greet you as you enter, and assist with any questions that you have. You never have to wait too long in line here-- between the friendly employees and self-checkout, it always is an efficient experience. Conveniently located: The CVS is conveniently located off of Indian School Road, very close to old town scottsdale, making it walkable. There is also lots of parking outside of the CVS. Good selection of beauty products: This CVS carries a good selection of beatuty products-- shampoos, nail products, and makeup-- I always find the beauty product that I am looking for...and even some I am not looking for Cute seasonal products: Lots of cute seasonal products at this CVS-- you can even see some in the picture that I posted! Other: No passport photos: I don't believe that this CVS offers a photo booth, so just keep that in mind if you need to have pictures taken for your ID.
