I recently drove up through the drive up area to get my prescription I have been getting for years. My insurance doesn't cover it and I've gotten used to paying for it. The clerk that day was extremely friendly and quick. AND then she asked me to wait for a moment while she got me a better deal on my prescription. And then all of a sudden my meds were HALF the price I always pay. This is amazing customer support and I am truly grateful. CVS has became trash. Overly inflated prices. Employees can't simply check you out at the register. Instead they stand over your shoulder and force you to use their pathetic self check out machines, which takes forever because the pos can't scan correct without requiring employees to come over and press a button to allow us to move forward. I went in yesterday to refill my prescription the clerk said my insurance is need a pre authorization to contact my doctor. So I did that, my doctor's office said would you like updated when the pre auth gets approved. I said yes. Well got the message this morning everything is approved and went through the drive thru. I got the same clerk as yesterday. She was very rude gave my info and she must have remembered me from yesterday she said your pre authorization has not come back just very dry and rude even before she said that. I wanted to show her how it was approved and from what my doctor said we can request for them to run it again to look at it. She didn't even give me a chance to say that. Extremely rude! Whom ever is the manager at 10:44am was horrible especially at customer service. She began yelling at me saying why did I use that register. I said it's a self check out. She claimed to have already had items rang up on this SELF check out that no one was in front of. She did not have a name tag on so we couldn't get a name. She did claim to be the manager. She went on to tell me what made me think it was ok to use this register. But scolding me like a child talking with a loud voice. A customer even stood up for me asking her to speak more professional to her customers. The "manager" continued to say why was I using the computer and that she couldn't fix the problem I had with the self check out items I was trying to purchase. I finally told her she should know this stuff since she is the manager and asked her to not speak so foul to her customers. The pharmacist was great and helped me fill my prescription quickly and got it transferred over from another pharmacy. I used to go to Walgreens on E Thomas and had a problem every single time I picked anything up. So far, I have had nothing but great experience with CVS so far though. Pretty annoying when sign on front says they close at 11, and online says they close at 11 and you show up 5 minutes after 10 and they're closed. I guess someone went in right before 10 and they told him he had 2 minutes and he needed to leave. Update your hours so customers don't waste their time going to your place. read more

The CVS pharmacy staff here is great. They are super helpful with any questions I have with OTC meds, which I am usually using for off label uses for my pets or trying to decipher the marketing BS on the packaging. They are super quick with getting the line out the door, which is obviously ideal. read more

UPDATE: Please go any place else but here. I should have listened to my instincts since I had such bad service last time and switched to another CVS but it's convenient being it's close to where I live. Lesson learned. Bad service again when I called them and then they tell me an hour so I go run my errands. This is my last stop and 3 hours later I show up and my items still aren't ready. Not only that but they had an attitude about it as if I was an inconvenience to them LOL. He told me oh well he doesn't know what to tell me. I said the least you could do it apologize for the inconvenience. He shrugs his shoulders and says yea sorry. Just rude. Jessica at the pharmacy should not be working here. She has no regard for customer service or people in general. The most rude individual I have ever come into contact with. It is not about what you say but how you say it. How you speak to and treat others is everything. The pharmacist basically told me the same thing Jessica did but in a much more helpful and respectful tone. Just what I'm looking for. CVS is always a great choice when it comes to picking up a quick item or two. I find it a challenge to just purchase "what I was looking for" when I visit CVS. Been here a bunch of times and I see the same problem and problem over again, to check out can take forever and they never call another cashier to come up to help with the line. The only reason why they get 3 stars is because they sell alcohol here and it's always on sale. And the staff is friendly, just wish there was more of them. In (unfortunately) typical CVS fashion, the pharmacy here is slow. I waited and waited with only one other person ever also waiting and finally got my Rx filled. But, WHOOPS! Someone forgot to call my name and another customer's name that was waiting. So we both sat there for who knows how long unnecessarily. Just like with fast food places, their priority is people in the drive thru. They incorrectly assume that walk-ins aren't in any kind of hurry. It is NOT first come, first serve. Rather, it's clear the drive thru line and THEN we'll get to the in-store people. Lesson learned. Always use the drive thru at any CVS if you don't want to wait more than a half hour for your Rx. read more

I love the fast and friendly service of the drive through pharmacy. I have gone in a few times and the pharmacy staff was nice but the wait is sometimes long. This is why I prefer the drive through. Also I love that they do not sell tobacco products anymore, I don't think any pharmacy should. It's like saying here is your cancer medication, be sure to pick up a pack of cigarettes on your way out! I do however think that the price of their in store products are high compared to most grocery stores. I guess that's the price of convenience. read more

Rude cashier....asked me if I'm ready and I answer "yes" so I'm heading to cash register....two other customers saw me waiting for cashier to come. The guy put his stuff on counter and I say "I was here first but that's okay". The two people and cashier have the gull to look at me like I'm being rude, the cashier says a comment about me being in a rush to the customer like I'm not standing there. They are dressed nice and I was not. I complained to manager "Joe" I think was his name on phone and he just wanted to get off phone saying "uhh huhh..I will talk with her (cashier).." several times "click". This is the closet pharmacy by far to home and my husband has several prescriptions and I have a couple for myself. Luckily we get most through mail order because every time I've had to deal with the pharmacy they've taken a long time if we waited--once I told it would be two hours and I went to Walgreens, have either not sent a reminder or sent a dozen in a few hours (had to turn the text message option for that)--and are constantly out of very common medications. The last time I went in for an emergency prescription they didn't have it and told me to go to another CVS that did. Well, THAT ONE DIDN'T HAVE IT EITHER, necessitating stop at a third drugstore. And it turns out the two pharmacists at the CVS didn't even realize the prescription wasn't complete, it wasn't until I got to the last one. Yes, it wasn't their fault it wasn't complete, but if they told me at the first or the second one the doc could have had it ready by the time we got the the third pharmacy. Of course then it was after hours and we had to wait until the next day, me praying the entire time my husband doesn't die in the meantime. So, despite that, I gave them another chance today. BAD IDEA. Long line, the cashier asks for someone to come up and no one does, and it turns out it's so long because these cashiers are too dumb EVEN WHEN YOU TELL THEM STRAIGHT TO THEIR FACE that they can ring up items BEFORE they scan your CVS card. The cashier flat out REFUSED to ring up my items before handing over my card. I tried to complain to a manager, but apparently there wasn't one on site today. Instead, the pharmacist tried to get involved INSTEAD OF DOING HER JOB OF FILLING PRESCRIPTIONS. Never again. No one should shop there anyway: constant panhandling right outside their doors and they never do anything about it. read more

Do not show up at this pharmacy before the time they close and expect them to be open. Tonight, I got to the pharmacy a couple of minutes before 9:00PM (the time they are supposed to close) and the gate is already down at the drive through window. I saw an employee and I know he saw me bc we made eye contact but, did he bother helping me even though they were supposed to be open; NO, he did not. I called the store while I still was at the drive through window and spoke to the manger and told her that I was sitting in my car at the drive through window, I see an employee still there, and it is before 9PM so I would like someone to me out. I was there to get an antibiotic for my 17 month old son who has a ear infection right now. She said, "yeah there's nothing I can do". Ummmm you can open up the window because it was not 9:00PM YET!!! After my son suffers through tonight and I pick up his medication tomorrow, I never want to go back there agin!!! I rushed to get there before they were suppose to close, and I did get there before 9:00. They provided awful customer service. Just because you guys/ employees are board right before closing, does not mean you can close early. You do not know people's work schedules or what they went through to get to your place of business before the time you are supposed to close. read more

I've been refilling a very expensive prescription at CVS every 2 weeks for almost 4years now...this new location at 1625 n. 44th street, I've never really had a good experience there..but this last time takes the cake...I walked in grabbed a couple items from the 99cent bin and then walked right to the pharmacy where I picked up my refill and made my purchace... and proceeded to leave the store, CVS bag in hand with receipt. One of the CSR stopped me at the door asking to see my items and receipt, I told her what right do you have touching my items? I gave no reason to be suspicious, I didn't malinger around the store, I didn't even have a bag or purse on me, just me and my baby in her stroller. I was very angered and embarrassed at this and asked to see the mngr...well she came and was absolutely no help. She offered no apologies just gave the excuse that shoplifting happens alot there...that's not my f'n problem! I shouldn't have to feel hurt or angered simply trying to pick up my refill and make a damn purchase...I'm calling walgreens and Walmart to see if they accept my ins...if so I'm gone. They're never really polite there, the pharmacy doesn't ansr questions accurately...I would definitely recommend staying away from this location and if u must go to a CVS store the one at 711 E. Indian school rd, the staff there are awesome! read more

I was impressed with the customer service at this location; having just had my wisdom teeth removed, I was in a lot of pain. I went to the counter to get my pain medication prescription filled, and after mentioning that, if it was at all possible, I would like to get that filled prior to the antibiotics, they rushed my order and I received it all in under 10 minutes. The cashiers were so rude and impatient, they complained making rude comments because I paid with more than a $20 bill and threw my change/receipt at me and had a horrible attitude because it took her 2minutes to count my change for me! The couple of times I had filled my prescription with a woman there and she was very short and rushed to get my info, put the wrong name and had me call my insurance company because she made a mistake and told me my medicine wouldn't be available until the next day which didn't make sense because I dropped it off in the morning.
