Angie’s Lobster - Warm lobster roll

    Angie’s Lobster

Time to update my review! I've checked in here 31 (!) times according to Yelp and its been 3 years…read moresince my initial review. I love Angie's and glad that they are around, and my only wish is that they open more locations, especially around the Scottsdale area. This location was initially Angie's Lobster, but they are also Angie's Prime Grill, so they have salads, wraps, bowls, etc. Depending on what time I visit is what affects my ordering style. If I'm stopping by after work and am not rushed, I will order via the drive-thru. If I'm coming before work, I'll order online and use the walk-up window. Thankfully, haven't had to wait too long either way. Their walk-up window is right past the drive-thru on the left, basically the back side of the building. I park in the spots near the apartments and cross the rock barrier to get to it (just watch out for the cars exiting). I mostly order their salads, especially since they are only $5 with grilled chicken or falafel. I prefer the chicken but sometimes I'm in the mood for something different, so I'll do the falafel (though it can be on the dry side). My personal favorite is the Asian salad, can't get enough of the combination and the teriyaki sauce is so good. I've tried their other salads like the spicy honey ranch and that one is solid as well. Breakfast is okay here, not my favorite but it's a good deal if I'm around in the morning. I do miss their french toast! I'd always order that with no meat, and they would give me eggs instead which was cool. Since I'm not a lobster fan, I don't order that BUT their fried shrimp is super good, especially with the spicy honey. And their fries are pretty solid, sometimes I'll just order them by themselves for a snack. Haven't tried the warm bowls or wraps yet but I'm not a fan of brown rice so not sure if I'll like the bowls. I love that they add new items pretty regularly. I've tried their quesadilla, snack wrap, and crunchwrap supreme, all of which are pretty good and cheap. Today, I saw that they have a new salad deal, which is a salad (chicken/falafel/avocado), cheese quesadilla or garlic flatbread, and a drink for only $6.99! Such a good deal, I had to order it. No one is doing it like Angie's these days and I hope they keep it up. Wishing them much success and more stores in the future!

Lots of bad reviews for bad service but my order went through pretty seamlessly. I placed my order…read moreonline for a $14 lobster roll and was pleasantly surprised. I got a text when my order was ready and walked over to the small window and picked it up. Had to ask for my soft drink but everyone was polite. The roll looked small at first but I will say that it was very satisfying and delicious; especially at that price. I had it with the seasoned lemon butter. Was that the right choice? Let me know. I also added the soft drink and chips and guac. You only get access through a little window and can only see when the open it to hand you your order.

They bring the food to your table like Someburros and other places do. They have their own Root Beer and even the diet is good! We had a sundae as well. Deluxe bacon butterburger, french fries, onion rings, turtle sundae... everything was REALLY good! Bought some butterfly shrimp with cocktail sauce to go for my wife. I guess she'll tell me how good it was tomorrow LOL. Not a bad price for all we got either. Price per person (with dessert): $15-$16 Free parking, decent amount of spaces Friendly staff Many food options (fried fish and chicken sandwiches, burgers, shrimp, fish, curds, broccoli, etc) Great desserts and options (sundaes, cones, etc) Clean and comfortable interior Like building exterior design

He was welcoming even to the only Asians who dined in on Good Friday. Ambiance BUSY! There was a line for drive thru so we opted to dine in. There was still a line, but it gave me enough time to check out the whole menu without being rushed. The seating area was nearly full, which tells me Fridays are generally a busy night. The table we chose was clean, as the general area towards the far end of the restaurant seemed to be maintained well. The condiments and drink area were admirably kept in order. Service Maybe I'm old, or maybe I came from a state where manners are forgotten, but I thought it was customary to greet and welcome patrons as they come up to order their food. Maybe "J" was exhausted and assumed our familiarity to fast food ordering, or maybe she was in shock to see two out-of-place customers who regretably greeted her first. I must say, she would be a fine executive someday considering she sold me on the pot roast sandwich on a Friday, plus she didn't think of the potential satisfactory experience we thought to have. (Culver's culture is foreign to transplanted Californians, and it's unfortunate to have this interaction as part of our first dine-in experience.) Food Speaking of being foreign to Culver's, I'm not familiar with the menu except for the cod sandwich. Honestly, Friday is a bad night to try other things. The pot roast sandwich was incredibly dry- regardless of J's suggestion to pair it with BBQ sauce. Just lifting the bun and seeing the pile of beef I could tell that roast must've been around the last two Sundays. My husband said the deluxe burger had a dry bun and the patty was overdone and hard. The fries were great - crispy, hot, and enough to share. Overall stars: 2 I'm unsure if I want to try anything else except for the cod for me and the butter burger for my husband. I'm unsure if I want to ever dine in at Culver's again. I do know to sit furthest from the front door and to order the fries. I also know the young man who delivered our food was cordial, professional and did not seem like he was having a particularly long day despite the rush hour on a Friday night.
