This is the most pathetic excuse of a pharmacy. The customer service person had the personality of a toilet seat. Waited in line 40 minutes with only two people in front of me. As soon as it was my turn, the tech walks away to potentially help someone else who just walked in and sat down 30 minutes after I was waiting. I am not typically one to leave reviews on other pharmacies having worked the pharmacy myself; but my team over at CVS has been on hold off and on for 3 hours without a single tech or person picking up the line. We desperately needed to transfer a medication that a patient is already overdue for and anytime the hold line maxes out; someone picks up the phone and puts us back on hold without a word. No "we will be right with you" no "we are understaffed" no greeting, no questions, no answers. We will keep trying to reach them but there's a genuine possibility my patient will have to go without necessary medications due to this issue. If you're looking to have medication done in a timely manner or have questions in regards to any medications, my recommendation is finding the nearest CVS available. read more

I went in to get my prescription. I was second in line and had to wait 30 min to get my prescription. The service is VERY SLOW.

I have always used Walgreens. I brought in my two prescriptions through the drive thru pharmacy. There was not any line at the drive thru. The gal that helped me seemed annoyed the entire time. She told me they would both be filled by 5pm. I received the confirmation text that afternoon that my prescriptions were ready and drive to the store. When I arrived, they had only filled one of my prescriptions. The order for my medication was also supposed to be a 90 day supply, and they only filled it for thirty days. read more

Made a 9:30 appointment for vaccine; showed up at 9:15; filled out the last three questions, (did the rest online ). Sat down at 9:20 - so far so good Wait... and wait... and wait... At 10 o'clock, after seeing others who arrived AFTER me get served, I ask the person who checked me in if they can tell me how much longer I will have to wait. "Oh, you weren't seen yet?" Um, NO. She asks the person who apparently administers vaccines if they've seen me. "Who?" that person replies. then comes a 10 minute scramble around the phamacy looking for my paperwork. 10:15 I am finally admitted to get the vaccines. I receive a perfunctory, "Sorry." After expressing dissatisfaciton with the service, I get an excuse: "Oh, she's new." After expressing concern and lack of confidence that they apparently LOST MY PAPERWORK for over half an hour, I was corrected, "It wasn't lost, it just wasn't in the usual spot." Well, EXCUSE ME, that qualifies as lost, until you finally found it. No genuine apology, no real concern for how disturbing it is that they (temporarily) lost my paperwork, not a care in the world that if I hadn't checked, I might have been sitting waiting all morning. This Walgreens is extremely poorly run. There is always a long wait while they try to figure out what they're doing. The last straw was when THEY told me it was time to refill my prescription, so I put in the refill request on a Friday and went to pick it up on Monday morning. They still had not filled it, and told me it would be ready "after 2pm". I returned at 2:45 and, as usual, there was a long wait for me and the two customers ahead of me. After all that waiting, they tell me they don't have enough of the medicine to fill my prescription! I will never return to this Walgreens, even though it is less than two blocks from my home. read more

This is a horrible pharmacy. They are often closed during hours that they are scheduled to be open. Their drive up window is closed always and if you are sick, you will have to go inside and spread germs to everyone there. They wait is almost alway 7-10 persons deep. They rarely have the meds you might need there and they have to order everything from other stores so it often takes 3-5 days to get your prescription. Their inventory is really sparse and many items are out for days. Go to another Walgreens; this one is awful. Maybe try another company period. read more

The pharmacy is terrible. They do not answer the phone. I've been trying to refill my prescription for 2 hours. 1 hr and 45 mins on hold, when I called back it put me in the back of the call line. They didn't help any callers. The Walgreens manager said she couldn't do anything about it and would not go back and speak with them. Took my girlfriend to get her Anti Depressants and they were closed before 9:00 PM when the website says closes at midnight. I don't even understand how you can do that when people's lives depend on it. Update: The website says they opened at 6:00 am the next morning so we went at 8:30 before our vacation and they don't open till 9:00 am. read more

After waiting in line for almost 45 minutes for my prescription the pharmacy department decided to close the doors without any forewarning or courtesy explaining any type of circumstances, I truly needed my medication after surgery and it felt very impractical for them to do something like this. The store is super busy on schooldays, and they don't really have the staff to handle it. Otherwise, staff is friendly. Stock seems good. Only other issue is that online payment processing times for photo can take a while sometimes so do it well in advance or you'll be stuck waiting at the store for a while trying to convince staff you paid (with online receipt as proof) but them not having a record of it. I'm not going to fault them on that though, they were nice. read more

Slow in person service, main pharmacist has said 3 words to me after 4 new medications. Phone line is always at least an hour. Part of the issue why people don't get meds. Was on hold for over an hour and a half, just to ask to increase my pill count, which was their error. read more

Have shopped and picked up prescriptions at the Walgreens at Mill/Broadway for years and sadly have to say they just don't care anymore. Especially the pharmacy. How else do you explain the pharmacy drive thru closed more than it's open, with many customers elderly or unable to come inside. Staff shortage only goes so far. How do you explain the outside pharmacy window so filthy, covered in dirt and bird crap and no one ever cleans it.? Or a dead tree branch in the drive thru lane that's been there for DAYS. Or the back area littered with trash and clothes, yet not one employee picks it up.? Poor management. And they've stopped caring. Sad. Makes you wonder about the cleanliness of the inside. Walgreens at Mill & Broadway: I hope management see's this and cleans the outside front of the store with a power washer plus more. It's truly disgusting. I know the high school is next door but it is your responsibility to keep it from looking like a slum in a nice hood. It should be cleaned regularly. I gave you 3 stars because inside is usually pretty nice and staff is nice and helpful. The poor pharmacy is totally overwhelmed but I see you are trying to hire. I would normally choose not to shop here, but they seem to be the only Walgreens within a reasonable distance that have regular stock of my sons medication. Prescriptions are never filled on time as promised. On multiple times, a prescription has been dropped off the day before and still unfulfilled when I arrive to pickup the next day. While waiting, it's not uncommon to see other customers turned away for various reasons, or otherwise frustrated for the similar issue I reported above. Also, do not come here between 2:30-4:00pm. There store and parking lot is cluttered with loitering high school students from the nearby Tempe High. Pharmacy hours are constant moving target as well. read more

Monique didn't want to accept the wrong medication HER staff member provided me. I had issues completing the refill in the app, which directed me to call and complete the refill. I did, and read out the exact names of the medication I needed (I was starting at the app when I called). The staff member confirmed, so I went later on to pick it up. It wasn't until I got home I noticed I was provided a prescription I no longer use. Luckily, I was able to drive to a different location who was able to provide the needed medication. The day after I went to return the incorrect prescription and called ahead to ensure it wasn't an issue. David, was super helpful and kind and wanted to make it right. When I got there, he was having issues and that's when Monique came over. She didn't understand how this happened and I told her I wasn't sure. I had a screenshot of what I needed and read out the exact names.She was trying to to comprehend how this happened and how her staff member messed up my order, and again, I told her idk, maybe she could've asked her staff member. Instead, she went on to lecture me on the store policy and how this is the only time she will accept the return, in the future she will not accept returns. I tried to show her the screenshot of what I had ordered so she could see what incorrect medication her but she disregarded it. I asked why I would be penalized for her staff members mistake and she just stared at me and proceeded to say because she doesn't know whose error it was (her staff or mine), this is what it is. I tried this new location because it's super close, but I'll just stick to the snottsdale locations. Much nicer staff. read more

They waste so much of my time each month with accidentally texting me when it's not ready or make me come back or wait 40 min while they dig for a prescription that is already ready. I always have a good experience at this location and shop here very frequently. Tonight however I called the store because my Grandmother went to get a prescription and had been gone for over an hour. Her cell phone was off so I got worried and just decided to called the store. The employee Andrea answered and was so unbelievably sweet and offered to look around the store for her. When she saw my Grandmother wasn't there she even offered to check the surveillance footage. Turns out my Grandma stopped at a different store first and walked in as Andrea and I were on the phone. Haha. So all is good and I just felt the need to leave a good review for the customer service that was provided. It's not often you get to meet someone so genuinely nice like that. I live within walking distance and visit this Walgreens often. I sometimes come here to get one thing and spend an hour just walking around looking at things because it has a good vibe and the employees are always attentive but not all up in my face. They are always pleasant and helpful in any department I visit. Even when I had to get my passport photo, they were prompt and pleasant. I also appreciate that they keep a bottle of hand sanitizer at the counter to use after I've touched cash. Thank you to all the Walgreens associates at this location for making my life easier. Got my 2 covid vaccines and it's funny I made appointments both times lol. 1st shot the Asian pharmacist made me bleed and 2nd time I had to wait for almost 45 minutes to an hour in total. At the time Zach C. wrote his review, Walgreen was housed in the crumbling strip mall on the SE corner of Mill & Broadway. After a mysterious construction, there is now a goregous new Walgreen on the SW corner of Mill & Broadway. I am not sure why they moved it across the street except for liquor laws has been one of the motives voices (like not wanting to see it anymore) or the competition of a bright shiny CVS on Mill & University (which I gave a solitary star and I begrudge an hour of my life wasted trying to read O magazine while waiting 2 hours for simple antibiotics w/o ANY seating). Anywho. This is my go to place. I love the Walgreen on Southern and Rural since they have the nicest Pharmacists who have outstanding advice for any ailment (they saved my feet from further ant bite torture twice-best tip-the minute you get an ant bite, keep drying it out w/alcohol to prevent swelling as well as benedryl) and will answer any embarrassing question with humor and will go into the aisles with you. Now with the new pharmacy in the back of this Walgreen, they have a designated seating area, three drop off/pick up windows, roped off areas for the windows. When my sinus problems spread into my ears, I was given a heavy dose antibiotic that costs at the cheapest $75 generic. I was offered the Walgreen drug program for $25 a year, and brought the generic down to $39.99. They have an honest wait time, a good selection of magazines to ponder and actually good merchandise and food items one would want to purchase while in the store anyway. The consulatation is always thorough, and recently had to go for another antibiotic and saved $10 on the prescription from the membership since I was in the system. Well stocked beverage fridge, enough employees, sales on items I like, and pretty bum free- value. read more
