Easily the trashiest ULTA I've ever been to. The staff members all look like they have the plague. Remember when you had to actually do your makeup to work at a makeup store? They all looked sick, like they'd just woken up, one of them smelled awful. The lights at checkout flicker incessantly so I was starting to get a headache while standing in line-- which was taking forever because neither of the two cashiers knew what they were doing and had zero customer service skills at all. What an embarrassment to Ulta. As someone who's been in customer service for over ten years (and still under 30 I should add, for the lady pushing 35 at the register) this was the saddest experience I've ever witnessed. I highly recommend Toniya to get your hair styling needs! My hair is so hairing! I haven't had a haircut in over a year or 2...yes that is really bad. Review comes from my wife's and my son's experience. The employees were very helpful and easy to find. Her main concern was that the store was showing it's age. Stating the store was dirty with an odd smell, the bathrooms weren't kept up and had a unique smell. The stylist stand looked nice and the stylists appeared welcoming, just was hard to get over how dirty and unkempt the place looked. I stopped in last night and I never feel comfortable in stores that sell makeup because it's not something that's very familiar to me. Kaily approached me in the kindest way asking if I needed help. And I certainly did. She went above and beyond to make sure that I felt comfortable with what I was getting and I felt comfortable what I was leaving with. And she also helped me find the right price point of products since this is not something I do often. Then up at the register, Bailey genuinely asked how I was doing and I told her that I was great because of the woman that helped me prior. Just had the worst experience at this Ulta. Was not greeted or acknowledged by one person in the 35 minutes I spent wandering the store. There was two employees who were having a private conversation about their personal relationships so I didn't feel like it was a good time to interrupt but I stood right next to them hoping they would stop and acknowledge me. They did not. As soon as I walked away another customer walked by them and one of them finally stopped and greeted her. Another employee who had a phone in his hand looked like he was doing restock down the aisles appeared to look busy so I stood at the end of the aisle hoping he would say hello. Nope. Nothing. One person who did ask if I needed anything was less than helpful. I asked her if she had any recommendations for brush/sponge cleansers and she said no, I don't use brushes. Just try soap and water. Okay thanks. I almost walked out without buying anything but I needed a product so when I finally went to check out the girl who rung me up did not say hello. I said hi how are you. She said fine. Then went on her walkie talkie to ask if she could finally go on her break. I asked her, oh did you not want me to come up to the register yet? She just shook her head then proceeded to talk on the walkie talkie about how she was going to throw up. What kind of customer service is this? Had someone wonderful help me find products and tell me that I could exchange a product I got on a giftcard for another so she helped me for the next 30 minutes finding a Mac highlighter and eyeliner and highlighter brush. When I went to checkout she said I couldn't exchange or get any store credit because I passed the 60 policy. I drove an hour to this ulta because the one by my house doesn't take Mac products so I couldn't exchange it there and haven't been able to come for the past 2 months due to a house fire and ended up just having my time and money wasted. The girl at the register was passive aggressive about it too which really adding to ruining my experience here. I had to put everything back and am just going to shop at Sephora given the poor customer service experience I had here. Racial profiling from one Spanish speaker to another is extremely absurd. Drea followed me throughout the store asking if I needed help. At first, it came off as genuine. I continued to shop & she somehow found herself wherever I was or having conversations with her coworkers. When I finally asked her for help as she was again, having a conversation with a coworker & customer, she responded, "I don't work here! I came with my friend to look at new products and we were asked by every worker if we were doing okay, but then they would follow us into aisles and we felt like they thought we were stealing because they did not take their eyes off us the whole time, which was very uncomfortable. I went to get my hair done this past Saturday, and although it was a good experience, it made me reflect on my past visits over the last five years. I used to go to Aisha, who charged me around $300 to $400 for highlights, haircuts, and various treatments. However, I recently learned that the current stylist does things differently. For example, I was shocked when she said she would apply Olaplex, which involves four steps and takes longer. Aisha never mentioned that to me. After my treatment, the new stylist brushed my hair smoothly, unlike Aisha, who would brush it hard to detangle it. I feel sad and misled because I thought I was receiving the best service at Ulta. It now feels like I was scammed over the years since Aisha didn't provide the treatments she claimed to. I want an explanation for all the times I felt cheated, and I believe I deserve a refund for the service I didn't receive. read more

I have not had my hair professionally done since 2016. Since then, I've always done my own natural curly routine. I kept seeing girls on TikTok have the best curly hair after getting a silk press because of a treatment and getting their split ends cut off. I decided Ulta was the best based off those influencers. Aisha did an Olaplex treatment to make my silk press last and trimmed my ends. She was absolutely amazing, providing me advice and things to try out for next time (clarifying shampoo, keratin treatment for less frizz, and Redken gloss to make my hair shiner). Her service was 10/10. Very respectful, understood my hair's needs, and gives the time to speak on aftercare. I definitely will be coming back to her for a follow up. Make up is not used as often now that we wear masks. I do still wear eye makeup and needed an eyeliner and shadow. The staff are masked and ask that patrons mask up as well. There is a host of beauty products for you to choose from. Staff are helpful and one helped me find what I was looking for. Only giving 2 stars because of Rueben who has been amazing. Unfortunately he did not have openings so we got scheduled with Fernanda for a 3 hour time slot. When we got there she said she only had time for a cut (we were there well within the 3 hour window). Don't ever go there, Fernanda wanted to go home early since we were her last appointment. Fernanda, if that is what you want then cancel don't manipulate the situation. Manager was no help at all and didn't understand the situation enough to have an intelligent conversation we me. Worst Ulta I have ever been to.customer service is horrible. There was only about 6 people shopping, so it wasn't busy. Store employees were everywhere some playing on there phones. Others were giggling and laughing in groups. No one offered to see if they could help you find what you needed. I finally asked an employee for help and they act like they were not happy to help. I've been to this store many times in the past. I always have left with extra samples or at least ONE sample of something I want to try. So: I asked for a foundation sample I wanted to try at home and the employee said, "Oh, this brand has their own sample jars, we don't have any". I said, "Can I use a Clinique jar?" Of course not! She proceeds to tell me I could get a sample from Clinique or Lancôme. No thank you! Really? Truly a DISAPPOINTING EXPERIENCE. I will order off Ulta website or go to Sephora! The past few trips have made my shopping experience so uncomfortable that I will no longer be shopping here. I'm a frequent customer, I have a platinum account with them but this is no longer acceptable. I've walked in with nothing but my wallet and will end up having security VERY OBVIOUSLY following me around the entire time. This has now happened on 4 separate occasions. As someone who prides themselves on being an upstanding customer and has never stolen from anywhere, it's extremely frustrating to be made to feel like a thief during my entire shopping process.
