    Found it. Worth a retry.

I called customer service to check if the store had in stock the Coke Zero Oreo. A friend gave me a bottle of the CZO to try. It reminds me of Diet Coke vanilla. Not bad. So I asked her where she got it and her reply was at Safeway Manoa. The nice customer service personnel checked and informed me that they did have a display of CZO at the store, located near the dairy section. This is a limited edition. The price is 2/$6.00 plus bottle fees and tax. It's been awhile since I visited the Manoa Safeway. It was busy at the time of my visit. Only two cashier lines were open. There was the self check out line as well. Service was quick and friendly. The store was well lit. The aisles were pretty full of items and somewhat narrow to maneuver, especially if a grocery cart is in the aisle. Ambiance: 3/5 stars. Service: 4/5 stars for the great customer service here.

I FORGOT how beautiful their floral shop is here! K... so I guess ours ISN'T the best or the best looking... BUT it is for miles from Manoa's locations hehehe. Their store is absolutely FULL, CLEAN & AMBIENCE IS CALM & WELCOMING! SOOTHING Music can be heard throughout the WHOLE STORE. I'd totally recommend people shopping here! Just know... to keep the place clean and the grounds too. Parking lot is SUPER CLEAN AS WELL. No trash or cigarette butts anywhere. There are actual nice looking trash bins located throughout the parking lot. That may seem weird or funny to mention. BUT... because people dump a whole BUNCH of unnecessary trash into shopping center trash bins, it makes them looks ugly, dirty & it also damages it too. So they end up removing the trash bins, which then causes people to toss their trash on the ground. Which they shouldn't! OVERALL ID SAY! 5 's PRICES included! It's good. Just have to upload the app to get the BEST DEALS! It's worth it! PROMISE!!! Thanks for reading... Have a good one

Pick up order to make food for St. Patrick's Day! New York Steaks, Corned Beef, Cabbage, Carrots, Potatoes.

I recently did a pickup order through the Safeway app for St. Patrick's Day and it went so smoothly thanks to the employees of Safeway! Dee, a very sweet and happy employee called to make sure substitutions were okay for my order since they ran out of a few items. I got all the fixings to make corned beef and cabbage and juicy NY steaks! Ordered the night before and was able to get extra discounts through a special on the app. Extra $30 off my whole order! Wooho saving money. They usually sell out fast at this location especially when there are sales, so come early morning and at the beginning of the sale for best options. It's usually a hit/miss depending on the day and time I come.

This is one of the older Safeways and has been around for as long as I can remember. I prefer the Beretania location as it's more modern and has more variety. I come here when I'm in the area. The workers are nice and I can find what I need majority of the time. Some of the items I picked up on this run are bananas, mandarins, hummus, yogurt and salad. The produce section was looking really fresh. I was in a rush and didn't really check out the other departments.

Safeway is a bit rich for my taste but the workers are mostly friendly and helpful. They have watermelon in October. They carry chick fil a dressing which was interesting to see in the produce section.

Shary at the bakery was the best she ran to my car to get my attention to give me my cake . Love her she is wonderful . She did not had to go out of her way to do that but she did. Thank you Shary. Now I have a pumpkin cake for Halloween .

Poke bowls still a big draw. I saw the clerk give a gentleman three large raw oysters with his two-choice poke bowl. What a deal! They have bowls with salad instead of rice. A lot of grab-and-go options if you don't want to wait. Staff at self-checkout ready and offer chopsticks or forks. I haven't been here for a while so be aware of changes in parking in the area. Makes it easier to find a space to stop by and pick up a poke bowl but you'll for more than an hour. Lots of senior citizens (I'm one!) so patience and careful navigation required!

I didn't really know what to expect, but I was surprised by how many different kinds of poke they had. I stood there for a while trying to decide because everything looked good! I ended up getting the salmon and Hawaiian ahi tuna poke. Both were good, but looking back, I should've gotten one of the spicy mayo flavors because those looked even better. Next time, that's definitely what I'm ordering. You can get half a pound or a full pound, and you can also split your order between two flavors. We bought the poke here and got rice separately to make our own poke bowls. It ended up being much more affordable than ordering poke bowls from a restaurant, especially while visiting Hawaii. One thing to know before going: grab a number from the ticket machine when you arrive. The poke counter gets busy, and there were quite a few people waiting when we went. They'll call your number when it's your turn. Overall, this was a good and affordable stop for poke with a lot of variety. I'd come back, but next time I'm going straight for the spicy mayo!

This is definitely a place to go to to get some pasalubong for the family in the mainland. Multitude of souvenirs, shirts, and yummy treats. Prices were pretty good and tax here is way lower than in CA. I did have to ask for help finding an item and the "aunty" who helped me was so sweet. I went to the Money Services counter, where I was told the fee to cash my check would be $8, which I was fine with. The associate tried twice to cash my check, but both attempts were denied. She told me she couldn't do the transaction and went off to lunch. I tried getting someone else to help me but he stated he was an operator not a manager. So her co-worker explained to me that it wasn't an issue with my identification. At first, I thought it might have been because the address on my passport wasn't current, so I provided another form of identification along with a piece of mail showing my name and mailing address. Unfortunately, that didn't make a difference. The associate explained that it may have been because it was my first time cashing a check of that amount at Walmart and suggested that I go directly to my bank instead. While I appreciated the associate's efforts in explaining it to me, the experience was still extremely disappointing. I had planned to use the money to buy groceries, but since I couldn't access my funds, I had to return everything I had picked out and leave empty-handed. It was a frustrating and discouraging end to an already long workday. I understand that policies and verification systems are in place for security, but I wish there had been a clearer explanation or an alternative solution to make it right with me. I was so disappointed, I just deposited the check through my own Chase mobile banking. A bank I haven't used in over a year and a half since I moved to Hawai'i. To make matters worse, the employees started discussing my situation in the corner in Tagalog as if I wasn't right there. I wish people didn't do that. Speak in another language thinking other people don't understand you. I speak Visaya, English, and Tagalog by the way. I was born in the Philippines and understand the language... It was just a very discouraging encounter. I walked out of Walmart trying not to sob because after two weeks of waiting for a paycheck, and not being able to go to the bank with my work hours, it's been incredibly difficult to have money in my pocket. I was really counting on Walmart to take care of me today. So, reluctantly, I took a picture of my check instead and deposited it through my mobile phone and now I have to wait days for it to go through. What a rough day.

And even after we moved, we would still drive out just to come here for the seafood. That's how special it was to us. The reason why he chose Tamashiro over other grocery stores was simple--it was quality and because of my Nanay (grandma). His mom purchased from here and made so many delicious dishes. He knew what to look for, and he trusted this place. For him, it wasn't just about buying food... it was about getting the best for his family. My dad isn't the type to say "I love you." He shows it. One of the biggest ways he showed love was through his cooking. Even after a long day on his feet cooking for others, he would come home and cook for us. That was his way of taking care of us. I loved coming here with him. It was a five-senses overload--the smell of fresh seafood, the sound of people talking story, the colors of fish on display. Back then when you were allowed to sample a grape or poke to make sure it was good before buying. But more than that, it was time with him. I still remember the excitement I felt when I saw the pink building with the huge crab. I thought back then was to look at everything but now I understand that it meant something more..... something special--time with my dad. It's with a sad heart that Tamishiro Market is now closed.
