My husband Steve found Safeway Construction on Yelp. They were able to give us a good and affordable quote right away. We had an ongoing problem in which our upstairs shower was leaking through our garage ceiling. They were able to come to our home to fix our shower and install new tile to where the shower leak was coming from, and they also fixed the leak area in the garage ceiling and put drywall once done. They also installed a nice new shower door that was very much needed. We purchased the shower door from Home Depot and Adam picked it up for us. They were able to complete all these tasks in about 3 days! In my experience with contractors and remodeling, you have to make some choices; you can have it done quickly or done well, you can have it done frugally or you can have quality, and almost always you have to push and negotiate to get anywhere near what you want. We met with several contractors, one who laughed at what we wanted to do, another who quoted us a price so high that it was clear he wasn't interested in actually doing the work. Mo and Adam came over, listened to my wants for the kitchen, and found a way to do everything at a price that made sense to me. So I expected this to take months--it was a kitchen remodel and entirely new floor throughout the house after all. We started work at the beginning of November, Mo and Adam and Selvin made sure I had a kitchen I could cook thanksgiving dinner in--something I didn't ask for, they were just being thoughtful. The rest of the odds and ends were completed by the first week of December. I don't know how many times I told them I couldn't believe how quickly they were getting all of this done. At the end of the day the most important part to me was the I felt safe with these men. They were sweet to my kids (my one year old took a liking to Selvin and he had to hold him any time my son saw him). I work from home and on many occaisions we were alone in the house, and I never once felt uncomfortable in any way. Oh and also they do absolutely awesome work. To start out, I gathered 4 quotes from nearby reputable contractors for my small 11x11 foot kitchen and was blown away by the quote I was given by Mohsin and Adam. Not only was the price right, but it was about a third of the price I was quoted from the other contractors. They were up front, easy to contact, and quick to respond. They were even ready to start my project sooner than anticipated, which worked out best for us on our end. I had a very run down, outdated, and water damaged kitchen that was transformed in a little over a weeks time. It would have been completed sooner had I been available on days they were able to complete pieces of the project, but I was out of town and had I not been- it would have been sooner! You will see in the before and after, it is a WORLD of a difference. I couldn't recommend these contractors more, specifically Adam and Sammy for the construction and Mohsin for managing the project. They have experience and know what they are doing, they were efficient and responsive, and patient with my concerns. Superb experience start to finish! Needed a rafter repaired. Contacted them on the Sunday, and they got back the same day! Came out the next day to give an estimate. The job was small, and they came back later the same day to perform the repair! Also found an improperly vented bathroom fan and fixed that too. The work was quick and done perfectly and cleanly. Adam and his crew do awesome remodels. Adam first sits down with the client to go over all of the remodel details. Then drafts a plan accordingly including prices. When the remodel begins he provides a timeline which he sticks to. When the remodel is being done by his crew, he shows up on site daily to monitor the progress and accuracy of the project. After the remodel is complete he returns to the site to make any adjustments or corrections to the project. Adam responds to phone calls and text immediately. His crew shows up on time, are very pleasant and work very hard. Adam and his crew want the client to be happy with the remodel and does everything he can to make that happen. In 2023, Safeway remodeled our kitchen, dining room, bathroom and laundry room. In 2024, they remodeled the living room, den and 4 bedrooms. We are extremely happy with the remodels. Adam and his crew are a pleasure to work with. Adam walks you through every step of the project and assist in locating all the resources needed to complete the job. For instance, he helped us locate local companies that sell front doors, closet doors and quartz counter tops. Safeway, Adam, and Adeeb were amazing! We used them for a MAJOR renovation/remodel project that literally gutted and rebuilt everything in the house inside and out! You name it, they did it. From the boring stuff to new roof, new piping, new electrical, to the fun stuff like new kitchen, new bathrooms, new flooring, new fireplaces, new doors, new windows, new skylights, EVERYTHING! Literally not a single surface of the house you can see (and a lot you can't) they handled reimagining entirely. They even took on a major re-engineering of the space, taking multiple walls and building new walls. And they did this all in a little over two months! However, to the point was how great and on point their work was. Most importantly, for us: (1) Adam is incredibly detail-oriented and conscientious which leads to major projects coming through on time, on budget, with no surprises. For a major project like this you would expect there to be delays, cost overruns etc. right? Not with Safeway! Everything proceeded even a little ahead of schedule, even with change orders on the way, and right on budget. Key to this, and why we had a good feeling about Safeway from the start, is the detailed approach Adam and Adeeb take to providing quotes and planning in advance. We interviewed a half-dozen or more contractors (and reached out to even more) before settling with Safeway. Safeway took a little longer than the other guys to set an appointment, and a little longer to get a quote. But the reason was clear. Every other contractor basically spent 20 minutes selling themselves, 10 minutes glancing around, and threw out a number. Adam on the other hand took his time, he took measurements, checked our pipes, subflooring etc. Thus, when Safeway's final quote came up, it wasn't just your regular quote if everything went perfectly. He took the time to make sure he really understood the house and the project, and that way he could include things he knew we would need to address (like corroded pipes, or damaged subflooring) rather than have them be surprises later. This careful detailed approach by Adam and his team is why Safeway delivered on time and on budget. (2) Adam stands by his work and reputation. Of note, even after being fully paid, Safeway stands by their work. Since the project was completed, Adam has come back multiple times - whether to finish installing some light fixtures that were out of stock during the project, or various small touchups that only became apparent after the house settled a bit. Adam even came back to fix things that we never noticed, (some loose paint on eaves), but he noticed himself on a visit over. That's testament to the pride that Adam takes in his work. To me that's just as important as Safeway's great work to begin with. We can truly rest easy knowing that not only is Safeway's work top notch, but they'll stand by it if anything does happen in the future. I would heartily recommend Safeway for any project, big or small. read more

It took a while for me to get to this review but we used Safeway for a small remodel project including a laundry room, a bathroom, installing a range hood and replacing some countertops. They did good work at a reasonable price and Adam didn't mind explaining things to me as we went along, which not all contractors are open to with a female client. Mo was great with the email side of communication. Everything got done on time and in budget with no big surprises, which is pretty much a miracle these days. read more
