Throughout the entire process, Mike was very professional and the level of expertise he exhibited was obvious. Before Mike, I had met with 3 other contractors to compare services and quotes but what sealed the deal for me was the 3D render service Mike offered. It was affordable and it would be free if you end up going with MDM for your remodel. Mike was able to get the renderings to me very quickly and made adjustments whenever we wanted to change something. Seeing the details of the renderings really brought what we were envisioning to life and helped with the design process. Fast forward to beginning of demo/construction, Mike's employees were impressively fast and efficient at their jobs, but what really impressed me was how clean they kept our property after each day of work. And that stated true throughout the entire process of our 7 month renovation. During construction, if there were any last minute changes, Mike would always try to cater to our needs whenever possible. Even if subcontractors made mistakes with anything, Mike would make sure it is fixed and perfect right away. Keep in mind, you can't rely on Mike for everything (as much as you might want to). You really do have to do your research (in terms of design, finishing materials, sourcing those materials, and getting them delivered on time) and know exactly what you want and how you want it, that way, Mike can plan and put into action what needs to be done. JS Vision Construction performed stucco replacement and structural repairs on the east wall of our…read more4 story condominium building, resolving an issue that caused water intrusion and wood rot. Our HOA Board used Yelp to identify general contractors to bid for the repair work. We had five contractors come out and submit proposals. Before meeting with the contractors, we sent them a rain leak report from a specialist which identified the location of the leak and the areas that needed repair. When we had our initial meeting with JS Vision, the Board was impressed with our interaction with their representative Amir. It was clear he had a real understanding of the problem before we met, and provided a clear outline of the steps and process needed to fix our issue. He also provided the quote in a timely manner, whereas some of the other contractors took weeks to provide their proposal. After review of the proposals, the HOA Board unanimously chose move forward with JS Vision. Amir and JS Vision were the most knowledgeable during our initial meeting, and their proposal was competitive. Once the construction started, JS Vision make sure we had the proper LA City permits, and the repair work was done to current city code. The workers JS Vision utilized were courteous, responsive, and always cleaned up at the end of the day which, was appreciated by all residents of the building. The repairs performed on both the exterior and interior of our condo building were high quality, and it was clear JS Vision takes pride in their work. Amir continuously checked in with us during the project to provide updates on timing, and quickly addressed and resolved any concerns we brought up during the repairs. I highly recommend JS Vision Construction. This is a contractor who delivered what they promised, and are very capable for any condominium repairs. Not only did they correct everything, they knew people that were experts in areas they would rather not handle. Absolutely no complaints with any of the subs they had come in to do work! They totally reconfigured our guest bath. The place is haunted! They have been out so many times to try and figure out why the bath drips water. Everytime I call they are here to fix it. They are super busy, but if it's a serious problem they drop everything and come running. Water problem is not due to their work, but what originated with the house. Finally they totally cleaned up, repaired, fixed, updated, improved my rental! They did so much more then I thought I needed! Not in a bad way, but in the kindest most observant way possible. I didn't know how bad it really was. They see things that aren't right and fix them! I feel so loved and cared for. The place is spotless and will make the new renters feel so at home! Call them! Jim has never been a licensed contractor from my understanding. Jason (son) is probably the licensed one and may be fine to work with directly. Jim boasts being the best in the county. You'll likely hear that if you call. Jim's temperament runs hot & cold. Jim broke my toilet. Fortunately he admitted his mistake & didn't charge me to replace toilet. It took multiple trips to get the correct materials for the toilet replacement. This week we rejected Jim's subcontractors quote for HVAC job as we found someone else we preferred and we have a home warranty for service. Jim became volatile & hostile with me over the phone and by text after I hung up on him for yelling at me inappropriately. Extremely unprofessional. Son Jason didn't follow up with separate estimate and that may be miscommunication with Jim, however Jason was here months ago and looked at what we wanted done but didn't take any notes measurements etc, so I'm not sure how things fell through. Jason was friendly. I have no direct experience with his actual construction work other than lack of follow through with estimate. I don't like to post unfavorable reviews and this may be the only one.
