I'm glad the management at your store has done absolutely nothing about this waste of space you call an employee. I don't need an attitude from the guy behind the counter because he has to stop his conversation & help a customer out. I also shouldn't be made to feel like a burden because he hates his job. He just walked up to the terminal & stared at me. I went to hand him the package & he annoyingly motioned with the scan gun to place it on to the scale. Like in a jerking motion. I did so. At the time of the order, I had no idea they were in Brooklyn. The site is clean and all the information is readily accessible. One can guarantee that this website did not cost a lot of money, but it works. One of the best things about this company is that they have pre-prepared packages of boxes, tape, etc. divided by room and/or rooms which makes it a little easier. They have boxes for junk, boxes for tvs, boxes for lamps - are you following me here? They have supplies for moving - tape, blankets, plastic wrap, paper. So I go online and make my order (FREE shipping by the way on everything!) and expect it to come in a couple days according to the site. After the confirmation of sale is where it gets good. 30 minutes pass and I get a call from the company saying they can deliver today, the same day, in the late afternoon. OK. One hour later I get another call that they can deliver right now. Yes please. Approximately three hours after I ordered many, many boxes, they arrived in perfect shape. Having no idea this company was in Brooklyn, I guess I should consider myself lucky. The customer service was fantastic and the boxes have been working just fine. They had seamlessly loaded the contents of my 650 square foot apartment including large/heavy fragile furniture with glass (8 foot tall dresser with mirror weighing 250 lbs, and 50 galloon reptile tank) in about 1 hour. We promptly left via car to meet them at our new address in Philly, and they arrived at exactly the same time as we did. They unloaded the truck in about an hour again, and helped partially unpack and put items in the proper places, especially the furniture that would have been hard for me to move on my own later. I will continue to use Piece of Cake, and have recommended to several friends over the years that I have been using them. It was quick working with the customer support team initially to quote the move, make payment, and on COIs and confirmation. When we move again in a couple years Piece of Cake will be the only mover I call. My recommendation to others considering the service, be transparent and honest about the contents of your move, especially items requiring extra protection even if there is an additional fee involved. There were no surprise add-ons in my move because we carefully selected every single item that would be included in our move early on in the process, and made sure to reply in detail to the follow up emails regarding insurance, access to the apartments (stairs vs elevator, reserved elevator, etc.), and so on move-in day everything went off without a hitch. They scheduled a zoom/facetime walk-thru of my apartment to see what I needed and to give me a better quote. I had started packing already and got all my own boxes so it was easy to see what I had left. What I really liked was the 'no BS' hidden fees. It was one price that wouldn't change, no matter the hours or added last minute box. Of course my move was scheduled and it had to snow. Thankfully this didn't stop them. 4 guys showed up right on time (during a snow storm on a friday morning rush hour in the city). They walked thru and got a game plan, then brought up all the blankets and plastic wrap and got to work. TVs were dismounted and put in boxes, mattresses were put in boxes as well. The amount of blankets they used to wrap my furniture made me so happy. While they took their time, they were still hustling - running from the truck to the apartment. Once we got to my new place, they covered my stairs with runners and wore plastic booties to ensure my floors weren't messed up. I wish I had bought the wall mount for my TVs for my new place, because they offered to set me up. The only thing I was disappointed about was that my couch didn't fit thru the garage entry so it was left in the garage. I wish they had tried thru the front door but they were adamant that it still wouldn't fit. After 7 hours, I wasn't going to push them. Regardless, would 100% recommend Veterans Movers and also hope Roadway doesn't ruin this small-business. I wish I could remember the 4 guys that helped me move to give them a shoutout! Thx!!!
