Facility not staffed. Called for service multiple times from self service kiosk and no one ever answered. My reservation mysteriously disappeared; I obviously wanted to find out why. Id give it a zero if I could. complete money making scam. i knew rent increases would happen they tell you from the onset. 10x10 unit started out around $200 or a little more per month first year or so no real increases then small ones here and there. Jan 2025 $100 month increase, then they were going to increase again in May 25 another $100 with the insurance would be almost $550/month!!! I fought with them and got a 6 month extension on my current rate which was still highway robbery. this facility is not clean or climate controlled. I went in june to get some things out, first off all the rolling doors in my row had visible moisture on them and i had previously noted some boxes i had felt damp and soft to touch I had put 2 damprid containers in my unit and they were both completly full , climate control? I think not! My rolling door was also broken on this visit it was a little after the office closed so i was freaking out like what if it doesnt close? I called the number on the office door to leave a message for the property manager.. did what i had to do in the unit tried the number again. even called the 800 number only option is to call the property manger i already left a message for. no emergency # or even a human to speak to. Luckily I was able with a lot of force to get the door closed. Tried property manger again next day still no answer or a call back from the day before. Filed a complaint with the BBB. the district manager called while I was in a work meeting left a message. I tried calling back no answer. He also sent an email which I answered and never received a reply. BBB said since I didnt repsond they were closing my file! Fast forward to this week- 6 months later (door still broken btw) Clearing the unit out because I luckily found a bigger place to live and Jan 1 was the increase i was not going to pay for. Pulling things out I was horrified and angry. white appliances had turned yellow, furniture had rust , layers of dirt and mold all over them. Ive stored things in the basement of a 100yr old house that stayed in better condition. it was also sub zero in the building like see your breath cold wtf?! No working lights in storage unit, paid for a 10x15 unit that is only 13 feet long, timing for lights was broken and falling apart, got shocked when trying to turn lights on and made a complaint. 3 weeks later they still havent fixed it. read more

This place is a total dump they have great contactless service because you can't be in contact with the people who work there when they don't show up at all. all the dollies were locked up it was pouring rain and my wife and I had to walk all our stuff to our cars by hand. cube storage right down the road from Public Storage on Hempstead Turnpike in Bethpage is a way better deal. The building is brand new the dollies are not locked up and they beat the price of my storage unit by 100 bucks a month and the guy that works there is actually there at the time is supposed to be. Stay away from Public Storage in Bethpage they are a total rip off. Cube storage down the road in Bethpage is state of the art. read more

Another year, another rent increase! Don't fall for the first month free gimmick. They will get their money back in the long run. Price is up another 7% or so, for no reason whatsoever. Still the same shoddy facilities. Find a more local spot without terms like this. read more

The "non" customer service person, has to be most uncaring and disrespectful person I have come across in the service industry. Stay away from this facility. Rented a 10'x10' unit. Loaded it up and then realized it did not look "square". Measured it and it is a 10'x8' -- a $32/mo. price difference. Went to the front and asked to change my agreement to a 10'x8' unit and was told "no, read the fine print. all sizes are approximate". I do not consider a 20% difference to be approximate, especially since they advertise a 10'x8'. She said call Matt, her boss, and he will tell me the same thing. Both Justine and Liz were amazingly help full to me and very patient. I was in a rush to move from new York to Florida and I needed boxes and other packing stuff for it. I have been over back and forth to their location for several months just to pick up supplies that I needed and they would know me by name and a lot of the times they would know I would need just by me giving a brief description of what I needed to pack. Had the storage unit for 4 months between houses. On first visit Brianna walked me through the different sizes and helped me pick the right one for what I needed. She was more than helpful the entire 4 months whenever I had a question or getting carts available for me to use. Never had a problem or concern with the unit , cleanliness of site, or security. Hope I don't have to ever use them again, but if I do, this is where I'll be using it. I was looking for a place to store some furniture, etc. while I was getting ready for a move. I stopped at this location and spoke to Jacqui who gave me a lot of information and took me on a tour showing me different size units that were available. I told her that I had to go home and make some measurements but that I would be back. I came back a few days later and spoke with Jessica. I explained that I had been in earlier and that I knew what size unit I needed. Jessica handled all of the paperwork in a quick and efficient manner, took me to the unit to double check the size and sent me on my way (after helping me carry out some packing material). Everything was done in an easy, efficient and friendly way. I would definitely recommend this facility to anyone. read more

We rented a storage unit here for about 18 months and they were great!!! The office staff were always incredibly helpful with any issues we had, especially Alyssa and Octavia. The unit was always easily accessed during open hours and both moving in and moving out were incredibly easy. None of the property that we left in the storage unit was damaged or any worse for wear. I would definitely recommend renting from this location!!! Excellent experience!!! read more

My experience using this public storage for 4 months was a total disaster. I was told I would be sent my invoice through email each month to pay for my unit. Emails with invoices were never sent because even after physically going there to correct the problem twice, they couldn't get my email correct. They were able to correctly apply late fees on bills I never received (which I had to call customer service each month to waive). Since my bills were not sent, they were not paid, and I was never able to access my unit. I went there every month to sort this out, pay in person, and get access. On one visit I was told by the operator I should just remember payments are due the first of the month and send money in, even without getting billed. On a separate occasion, I was told although I did not have my key on me, I could be let into my unit. After making accommodations, it turned out they do not keep master keys and could not get me in. Every person I have dealt with at this storage apologizes and says they are not normally staffed there, as though this is a valid excuse to be oblivious to how to operate the place. I was given a number to contact the district manager, and even she was a temp for this storage facility as they cant get anybody staff or manager level to steadily work here. After explaining to her what happened, the district manager openly agreed that she would never use this facility, so why should anybody? I would strongly recommend using any other option. read more
