Most other Cube Smart facilities have this gate, and a lack of one is why this facility has video cameras on 24/7, monitoring the grounds for homeless people sleeping in their vehicles at night behind the building. There are usually one or two employees who man the two front desks every day except Sunday when the office is closed. Unfortunately, there are times when both desks are empty. Once I waited outside for somebody who left la "be right back" sign on the front door, but nobody came after a 20-minute wait. The General Manager James tells me that the facility has five hand trucks available for customers to transport their possessions. "There are two in the front, two at the back and one on the side", says James. Renters insurance is required on all units whether it is the customer's personal insurance or the one that Cube Smart offers. Prices of units increase anywhere between 4 and 11 months. I like this location because it is clean and climate controlled, and management is friendly and respectful.

There's a big clean bathroom which comes in handy especially after a long drive moving your items. They also sell packing supplies.

With a 4-5 man crew, I was amazed at how fast and efficiently they were able to work. After an almost 2-hour move out (stairs and a stoop) they moved my stuff into my new apartment in 1 hour! Working with Robert always includes personal attention to your concerns, needs and special items. And he's always thorough with close attention to detail. And the crew is friendly and just cool to work with. He also has bins available to rent and always has additional supplies, boxes, tape, bubble wrap etc. I would hire Top Hat every time honestly, and it's a great feeling to support a local Brooklyn business that's been around for three decades.
