I bought an 18 month commitment. During the summer they would come out when requested to take care of wasps. Eventually I stopped calling them because I did a better job myself. But that's how they get you... they come out in the winter when they aren't needed. THEN... Beware of Saela Pest Control!! They sell you on a "no-contract" agreement and tell you that you're paying for a year of service, but what they don't clearly disclose is that once that year ends, you're automatically enrolled into the next year. I've now been dealing with them for three years because of this practice. In the beginning, I genuinely liked the service. The pest issues were improving, so I overlooked the lack of transparency because it felt like "out of sight, out of mind," and the service was actually decent so I kept it going. That eventually changed. The quality of service completely dropped off. They no-call, no-showed on me multiple times, including days when I took time off work and even Saturdays. The blatant disrespect for my time is completely unprofessional. [[HIGHLIGHT]]At one point, I called well in advance to reschedule because I was going out of town and specifically wanted them to service the inside of my house. I was initially bullied and pressured not to reschedule. We signed up for mouse control. At first I had a good experience. They came and set up the traps and explained how it worked. They quickly caught the mice. Then they had a service to come back and check. They tried to also spray every time they came back. We asked them to not spray and to please note that going forward. The technician always agreed. When I told my friend about the experience I recently had on the phone with this company they joked about how it sounded like I was cancelling a gym membership. same sentiment here A year ago I called for a simple service and was told I needed an ongoing contract. I was new to the home so ongoing service seemed fine since I didn't know what to expect for the area. The first service was great, the guy explained the solution he was using, did the inside of the property, garage and all exterior. The second time I was home but no one ever came to the door, they just walked around the exterior of the house. The third and final I was not home for, but obviously they were unable to get inside. BEWARE! They did just fine, coming as requested when we had some flies nesting inside some pipes and showed up for the promised service. We called the company because we suspected a rodent was going into our crawl space. They sent out their "Rodent Specialist & Lead Home Inspector," Garry Oddo. He crawled out of our crawl space and showed my wife multiple pictures of rat-infestation "evidence," saying, "see that's the rat's tail, I saw 11 rats down there, you have a major rat infestation. They move really fast so I didn't catch any in the pictures." He then presented the plan and service to eliminate the "problem:" $4,800 was what he presented explaining how they needed to capture and remove the rats and do considerable work to seal off the crawl space so that it didn't reoccur. Alarmed at the situation and proposed cost of the remedy, I went into the crawl space for 40 minutes. After thoroughly covering every inch of the 2300 sf crawl space I found...nothing! No rat droppings. No acrid smell of rats. No trails of rat movement. No rat tails escaping my lighting. No nesting of any kind. NOTHING! Next I contacted 3 other rat exterminators. The highest price for comparable service as presented was $1200. [[HIGHLIGHT]]My wife called with this concern and Service Manager Denver West, Carl Brans, came to respond to our concern. He was professional and courteous, explored the crawl space, coming up to report that my observations were accurate--there NO evidence of even a single rat passing through our crawl space. He apologized yet endorsed the scammer he worked with[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Next we call to cancel the remainder of our 12-month, 5-service contract. No longer confident we could receive legitimate service. Can you guess how that went? Give me your boss, I said. "I don't have a boss, I'm as high as you can go," the polite service person told us. Really? So I go out to explore who is the boss. Good luck if you can find it. No leadership identified, no contact available. Any questions about my first word? BEWARE!!! Use a local service that cares, support your local contractors who have the courage, ethics and customer service they are willing to openly stand behind. I was told by a technician they don't do snake prevention as part of my package, and was told that i have the option to call and cancel after a year; if I do not, then my service continues. 3) [[HIGHLIGHT]]When I talked to corporate about these issues, I was essentially told that I should have read the contract.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] While that stands true, I purchased this believing what their sales representatives told me are true. Why wouldn't I trust them? I felt there was a lack of accountability for their own. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I was also told to reach out to the sales representative that sold me the service if I had any issues. Then they will continue charging your credit card every month even after you tell them not to, and in our case, even after they said they would stop. We had concern about mice and Gary from Saela came and said we needed new rubber on our garage door to stop mice from coming in $150 however it still left openings on the side and didn't prevent the mice. It also tore apart on the ends in less than a year and they just want another $100 to fix. This spring, we called them out because we had holes in our raised garden beds and our plant roots were being eaten. Gary came out again and found a lot of evidence of mice in our crawl space which he quoted us a price of about $3,000 to fix. Interestingly, we had another company come out and the mice bait boxes that Saela had put out were empty and one had wasps nests in it. We are no longer customers. read more

Saela Pest Control: Beware We recently moved to Fort Collins and chose Saela for our rental property. The initial sales pitch was smooth sailing: friendly staff, reasonable prices, and supposedly flexible cancellation. Happy with the pest control service, however trying to cancel is almost impossible, buyer beware.....Here's where the nightmare began. We are moving to Chicago, we called to get our service cancelled to which we were told we had to speak to a manager, however the manager was busy and would have to call us back. He never did so we called back. Then we were told we needed to call a 800 number to cancel, which we did but needed to be on hold for over an hour, twice. Reaching a manager proved impossible, and the "anytime cancellation" promise turned into a runaround. An 2 separate hour-long hold on their 800 number was followed by a barrage of unreasonable pressure tactics: * Transfer the service to a family member? * Move the service date up despite us leaving the property? * Pay for non-existent services because of a phantom "7 application signup" we never agreed to? This is beyond unprofessional. It's predatory. We were specifically told cancellation was easy, and now they're trying to squeeze every last penny out of us, even after we expressed our intention to use their services in our new location (which we absolutely will NOT be doing now). Saela uses "pest control" as a ruse to get clients to sign a contract that is almost impossible to get out of, requires you to PAY THEM when they fail to met their contract obligations. They do not notify you prior to showing up so you cannot verify they actually treated the outside and get out of treating the inside. They make excuses for techs that appear disheveled, drugged or hung over and assure you they were terminated. RUN!!! Expensive, constant sales calls, impossible to cancel services all for below average pest services. Honestly, Seala are bigger pests than the services they are supposed to provide. I was a pest control customer since 2015 and the company name changes a few times over the years. We had a mouse for the first time 2 weeks ago, and they came out. They offered to set traps for $300, then check for $25 a week after 3-weeks. We got traps for $10 at a store and did it ourselves. Pretty sad when they are the pest control we pay $476 per year ($119 a quarter) for them to spray the outside of the house for bugs a 4-6 times a year. They never want to spray inside unless you beg them to. Most recently they changed the name to Saela, which I have deciphered to mean "sell you" or "sale-a-service you didn't ask for". These people call us, a long-term existing customer to upsell services 3-4 times per week over the past month. My wife told them each time that we were not interested. She got frustrated with their "won't take no for an answer attitude" and demanded they note our account to not call to up sell us. The very next day, a call again to up sell. Then again the next day, a call again - they even confirmed on that call the note not to call was there. That's when I called to cancel our service. After speaking with them and them offering free services, I repeated we just wanted to cancel their services and will go with a different company. They needed to pass me to a manager, which after a 16-minuite hold, disconnected the call. I called back several times and the call wasn't able to go through. Called again the next day and at the conclusion of a 26-minuite phone call, the manager, Ryan agreed to cancel my account after repeated "free services" offers. Canceling my services from their sales bombardment took 45-minuites of my time over two days! Setting aside the constant bombardment of desperate sales folks, the pest control itself was minimal. They sprayed the base on the foundation 4-6 times a year for bugs. Did mostly when you weren't home and never called to set an appointment so they could do the inside also. Pricing when we started was $69 a quarter, now $119 - That's $476 per year unless you actually have a pest, then it is more. Impossible for account management and now resorting to declining charges with our bank if they don't actually cancel the account as Ryan promised today. read more

I hired them specifically to help with a vole problem! They insisted on an extermination package and guaranteed to solve my vole problem. They set two 2 units in my yard in November and then on March 19, when I had significant vole damage, their employee came to my house to spray for wasps etc, not even knowing that I was hoping to mitigate a vole problem. He told us we need their "Premier rodent" control package, for an extra 300 plus dollars. "Bait and switch," now that the winter damage has not been avoided! I called and asked that a "specialist" come out. He came on March 21. He called his supervisor and that person told him they were not willing to help me, except if I buy the special rodent package! I'm furious! I just arranged for a replacement credit card so they won't have my number to fraudly extract money from my account, as has been reported by other Yelp reviewers. read more

I had three properties with them and possibly they went down the tube bcs they were bought out. I was being charged for services that i wasn't getting. They would arrive without warning, not close my gates to prevent my dogs from getting out and the call center just sucks. So yourself a favor and go with a small local company! Several issues. I have 4 cameras around the perimeter of the house. I received a bill, a door hanger, and service. On the camera I saw the tech approach the door, hang the hanger, get in the truck and drive away. No activity on the cameras...no service performed but I was billed. - Reported to Edge/Saela. I watched the video the tech spent 3 minutes servicing my property and left. - Reported to Edge/ Saela Most recent issue as I was cleaning the yard and moved the bait station and noticed it full of pine needles and grass. shook the trap out to discover it was full of droppings. Not much of a bait station if the rodents are using it for a house. Service tech came out to the house recently and I asked for a mosquito treatment. PLEASE READ THE SERVICE AGREEMENTS. They wanted $210 for one treatment but the service agreement they wanted me to sign would have locked me into a 2 year agreement for somewhere over $2,000, which was not disclose by the tech. They are trying to get away from monthly billing and shift to a long term service contract. I declined the mosquito service and did not sign the agreement. The tech serviced the house but did not spray the eves for paper wasps. The tech spent 5 min on my house...I personally watched and timed. They got in the car and left with only an application of barrier around a portion of the foundation. Find someone else to do the work. You have been warned that they are deceptive. Take this for another warning. 05/31/2022 As a follow up Saela has charged my account on 11 different occasions on May 25th and 26th. Except that they still make you sign a contract, have a very short cancellation window (3 days), and charge ridiculous amounts of money to get out of the contract. We used the service because we had some spider issues and we decided to do a 5 time package. First time was good, after that it went worst and worst. However those guys do not respect their contract, they are nice but they don't communicate with each other and there are a lot of miss communication. Do not use - not safe!! Last time out, the technician sprayed something through the entire inside that left white residue everywhere - even a month later. It smelled extremely chemically and we had to pay for professional cleaners to come in. Whatever this spray was, was not the same as previous indoor treatments and it didn't appear to be safe or for indoor use. Multiple calls to them got us no where, no one would even return phone calls even after we questioned what potentially dangerous chemical was sprayed inside our house. I signed up for this service (from Edge, at the time) for five years. Big mistake. They did not allow any communication by email and their phone system was cumbersome. I just realized they had added on a monthly mosquito service last year. The contract they said I signed does not have a recognizable signature on it. We don't have mosquitos but they say I signed up for it because of a problem with Japanese beetles, which their service has not successfully treated (I have since found out that nothing works for Japanese beetles around here). I was now able to cancel the mosquito service but I'm stuck for another 7 quarterly services. After the contract is up, I was told they will continue the service quarterly until I tell them to stop. However, they won't let me cancel until the last contracted service but they can't or won't tell me exactly when that is. Sheesh. read more

Don't accept a "Discount" from them. By accepting any offered discount you will in fact be entering into a multi-year contract. To get out they will charge you %50 of the remain visits you could use your discount on. Complete misleading scam read more
