I reached out to several vendors via the Projects option on Yelp to get quotes on Wildlife Control (specifically bird mitigation). Aside from removal (depending on the state of nesting and any babies), I was also looking for a long term solution to keep birds from nesting in the soffit of my home year after year. While Anchor Pest was open to working on my Townhouse, they also have good prices and their removal process eco- and nature-friendly, however they were not able to offer the permanent solution I so desperately need. The representative was very courteous and responsive to my messages and phone calls. They did offer a deterrent (scare balloons) but this was only for short term. (Installed in Spring with removal after end of season.) I was hoping for additional work that would include sealing off access but this was not offered. I want to share my deeply troubling experience with Anchor Pest Control as a warning to others. My unit didn't even need pest control services, yet the leasing office scheduled it as a precaution. The technician who arrived was not only unprofessional but also disrespectful and dismissive. When he arrived, he made condescending and microaggressive comments, saying things like "you people always do this," implying that my concerns were unwarranted. I asked him to clarify, and he dismissed my concerns with a smug attitude, telling me to take it up with the leasing office. This behavior left me feeling unsafe and disrespected in my own home. I reached out to the company, and although they promised to address the situation, the same technician returned the following week. During that visit, he once again made me feel uncomfortable and even recorded inside my home without my consent. This blatant disregard for my privacy and safety is unacceptable. I've tried to resolve this through the company's management, but the issue remains unaddressed. Multiple residents in my building have faced similar problems with this technician, and it's clear that the company has not taken meaningful steps to improve. Extremely unprofessional. Employee literally ignored me when I told him where the pests were and began spraying while me and my cat were still in the home. When I got back I noticed he dripped poison on my floors throughout my house. They also threaten residents with an $85 fee immediately on their pest control notice. At my all day appointment window, Jake showed up and knocked so softly you could barely hear anything. Try knocking harder man. Claims he had been waiting outside for 30 minutes and didn't have time to treat the apartment at that time - gave me a little information on my situation, which I appreciated..started to leave traps for the mice but then took them back? Told me he would move things around and come back either by the end of that day or the next day at the worst. I waited for 2 days solid for this guy to come back and he flaked out. I had stuff to get done and needed to leave, but he I believed him when he told me he was coming back, so I stayed home for 2 days and was unable to attend to my affairs during that time. And to make matters worse, since he chose not to treat my apartment because he "didn't have time"and flaked on coming back as he told me he would, my apartment manager has now made me pay a 69$ fee. Jake was a nice guy but i don't appreciate being flaked on and told things that are not true like I WILL come back today or tomorrow. 2 days wasted waiting for him to come back and 69$ fee later with nothing having been done to treat the issue, I would say look elsewhere. I had Anchor come out years ago to do with a wasp nest issues. I have a life threatening allergy to them. I was stung again this some. The Anchor scheduler went out of her way to try to get me a last minute appointment. The technician who came out was polite and professional. He arrived when he said he would and contacted me en route. He was able to located two nests at the time of service. I was told to reach out if I discovered more/had more issues. I did. Anchor sent the same technician out again, and he removed two more nests (possibly new since he was out last) at no charge. I really like supporting a small/neighborhood business. Josh is very knowledgeable and extremely helpful. Whenever I have a question he replies promptly. My tenants moved out and left the property infested with roaches. The most unprofessional company. Should be sued! (still might be) They destroyed my home by spraying toxic chemicals after admitting that my home was not needing treatment. They sprayed brand new furniture pieces and entered bedrooms without permission even though rooms were closed and were not supposed to be treated at all. They damaged electronic equipment and even went so far as to write treatment notations on papers that were personal work documents (and yes before any thoughts of "why was that left out" etc these were not confidential papers that needed to be put away because who would think a "professional " company would take such liberties!!) They were able to come out quickly (not that I needed it but it was an added bonus) and seemed to have addressed the issue. I have a ton of those stink bugs around the outside of my house ....and inside when they crawl in. They're beyond annoying. The guy was professional and nice. He sprayed a few times around the exterior and almost immediately the bugs started going belly up. There were a few straggler bugs over the next couple days and by today they're gone. I'm fine with trapping a mouse or two within a 2-month span, but when those little suckers start breeding, it's best to get the problem taken care of by a professional. I called "The Orkin Man" first. They wanted to charge me $250 for an initial visit and lock me into a year-long contract at $50 a month. I just needed someone to come out and fix the problem. I have used Anchor on several occasions and will use them again. The most noteworthy was when I had moths from a rug I acquired. That used rug brought them into my house. Before I knew it, my house had moths, a valuable oriental rug was being damaged, etc - not easy to get rid of. Anchor got me onto their schedule and showed up on time, and let me know how to prepare (what needed to be moved, what to inspect more closely, etc.). They treated my house and followed up later to confirm that things were ok. I had to remove some things and have my rugs cleaned, which is par for the course with moths. No problems since. They also serviced my parents house for yellow jackets / wasps that had made some nests in various places at their house. I had asked them to use a different spray because the one was making me sick. Pretty much basted my dresser with this chemical Temprid that is making me real sick. I tried to get some kind of doctors note but that didn't do any good. Not bugs found in my apartment why use something so powerful and will later be in a lawsuit, my health is not considered I also have asthma which this stuff sets off. Very honest and responsive company. They called for follow up a week after the service was done. They said "no charge" if they had to re-spray for our wasp nests. I couldn't believe the low price they quoted before all the work was done, and they stuck to it after they finished. No SURPRISE charges added on. I would not have recommended anywhere else. I got their name from a large property management group in Denver as the only Pest Control Company they trust. I"m not sure about the negative reviews on Yelp, but pests are creatures with brains and habits that humans are trying to change. So, remediation is frustrating for the homeowner and Anchor. They came out the first time and had to come back the next week as it did not completely do the job (Our house was in pretty bad shape when we took ownership so I'm not surprised). I giving them 2 stars because the woman is spoke to on the phone was so nice and helpful with all my questions but if I could give zero I would. The guy came out and spent literally 20 mins here and did not plug any holes outside. Missed a few holes inside the home and basically just set down some mouse traps. We then inspected the outside of our home and saw an area ON OUR OWN with tons of mouse droppings. He never mentioned this area or took the time to really assess the problem. In hindsight I should've waited for an appointment with a few of the other companies I called that we a bit more busy. This was a waste of $160 and now I have to call another mouse exterminator. read more

I had a problem with squirrels in the soffit in one part of my house in June 2014. The guy came out, fitted a one way door, and then fixed one more small possible entry hole as if he was doing me a big favor. Then he left. I had to call several times to get him back to remove the one way door and cover the entry hole, and that was done rather poorly, When I signed up for this service I thought I would get a thorough inspection of the house and a plan to fix all the possible entry holes for squirrels, mice etc. I was not expecting them to fix one possible entry and then leave others open. Yes, I would have had to pay more for that service, but it beats paying every time I have a problem. Which of course , I do, again, in a different part of the house, less than three months later. So I will hire someone else to do a thorough job. read more
