Steve was great to work with, his knowledge and experience really showed, he had all the right tools to take care of our raccoon problem and our attic is now critter free. He dealt with the problem in a very humane way and I really recommend Steve if you have any kind of critter problem read more

My husband & I discovered a mouse living in our home when the weather started to become cool last fall. We easily caught it using a humane trap and re-located it yet in a few days, another little mouse appeared in the house. Again, we humanely caught and re-located the new mouse, only to have this routine go on and ON. We thought we were very savvy, looking at every possible point of entry: stuffing copper wire meshing in all suspicious little holes surrounding our foundation & even put stucco in a few bigger openings. However, one at a time, mice kept sneaking into our home! We found Steve & his company Elite Animal Control on an internet search and reached out to him. Within one day, he came over, spent a great deal of time really inspecting & investigating all possible openings. He took his time (and expertise) to eliminate ALL imaginable entrances. However, another little mouse was seen and again we humanely caught/re-located it and then called Steve. THIS situation kept us on our toes for a few weeks...Steve came back a few times and with each visit he discovered a different opening until-NO MORE MICE!!! Steve is, first of all, a VERY thoughtful, intelligent, clever and caring man! We could tell he was SO experienced in the business of thinking like a mouse! AND! He NEVER advocated for harming the mice-yet he did share he has had some jobs which required many means of rodent removal. He has a construction background and clearly understands how foundations, walls, insulation, ducts, plumbing, floors, etc all fit together AND could be ideal places for mice to march in & live. We learned SOOO much from Steve (& we thought we knew a lot!). We HIGHLY recommend Steve & Elite Animal Control to help you with ANY critter-issue you encounter. He is kind, knowledgeable, caring and REALLY knows how to solve animal control issues! read more

I had a community of rabbits under my deck. I wanted them humanely removed and prevented from returning. Steve was prompt, and did the job the next day at a reasonable price. Highly recommended! read more

I also would recommend Steve of Elite Animal Control. I requested Steve come out to the house to remove a dead and de-composing Red Fox from under our deck. The smell INSIDE the house was becoming unbearable, especially in the basement and around the furnace. Steve came when he said he would, crawled under the deck with no room to spare, removed the fox, bagged it, and sanitized the spot where the fox died. The cost was completely reasonable; especially compared to the estimate I got from a franchise company. To top it off, Steve has a great personality, friendly and easy to work with! Excellent experience! read more

Steve with Elite Animal Control was perfect for the job - squirrel in the attic. When I called, he picked up right away and based on the problem I described, was able to provide a ballpark estimate. He was on time, quickly got on the roof, figured out where the squirrel was getting in and installed a one-way door - all in about an hour. And it was similarly fast when he came back to seal the opening. Very reasonably priced, and on top of that, he's a really nice guy. read more

I highly recommend Steve of Elite Animal Control. I had a hole in the side of my house and several sections of damaged siding that appeared to have been gnawed. I'd had squirrels gnaw through the same spot years ago so I thought it had happened again. Before I could have the siding repaired I had to determine if their were animals in my attic. If there were they had to be vacated before the hole could be repaired. I made an appointment with Steve. He showed up when he said he would. He examined the area in my attic where the squirrels had been before. He honestly reported that there were no signs of animals in my attic this time around. He said the damaged siding was likely from weather, that rotted portions of wood had been eroded away by hail, strong winds, etc. (Since the hole in the siding years ago had not been repaired properly, that hole was again exposed when the siding had eroded away.) Steve said he used to work in construction installing and repairing siding and he would be able to repair my siding for me. I agreed to have him do the repair. Steve said he would temporarily close up the hole with tape, he wanted to see if it would be disturbed by any critters trying to get (back) into my attic. He said he was pretty sure animals had not caused the damage this time around but he'd rather err on the side of caution. After a few day, since there was no sign that animals had messed with the taped patch, he proceeded with repairing my siding. (He again showed up on the agreed upon day.) I appreciate that Steve did not exaggerate my problem, he did not claim there were/had recently been squirrels or raccoons in my attic when they hadn't been there. He could have claimed that there were and then charged me for extracting them, but he didn't do that. Steve of Elite Animal Control is pleasant, personable...and honest! He shows up when he says he will and does the work he says he'll do. He doesn't up-sell you on services you don't need. If you need to have your home evaluated for the presence of animal pests, if you need to have animal pests removed from your home, if you've had squirrels, raccoons, rats, mice etc. cause damage to your property, I encourage you to give Steve a call. read more

Steve got a bunny family located under our deck to move on out. He was very careful to make sure the babies were old enough to hop off, then introduced a mesh fence and one way doors to encourage the families to find a new den. He took the time required to ensure the bunnies could handle the "exclusion", and did a thorough job to make sure they'll have a hard time returning anytime soon. And he guarantees that he will come back if the bunnies do! Highly recommend! read more

Steve was fantastic at taking care of the squirrels in our attic. He was thorough, actually inspecting where they were coming in and out, installed one-way doors for a week, and came back after they were gone to close everything up. He was so affordable! Another company quoted us a ridiculous price, didn't check the attic, and planned on closing every possible entry point without understanding how they were getting in. I will definitely call Steve for any future issues! read more

Elite Animal Control is my #1 go-to ! Ask for STEVE-- He got mice out of my attic-- on Christmas EVE, no less! Clean, HUMANE, Very Affordable, too. Steve has a knack for critters. Mice in the garage, squirrels in chimneys, raccoons in attics, rabbits in window-wells...? you name it. And he finds out how they got in, and fixes it so they can't come back. We've used them twice, both excellent. (If you get the voicemail, leave a message and your number-- he calls right back as soon as he can, he's usually in the field on a job.) read more

Steve is a great guy. Very nice and communicative. He's the person you want for the job.

Steve is a gem, and I'm so grateful I found his business after a few months of trying to solve my mouse problem myself. My parents own a pest control business in Florida and told me what to look for... and what to expect, price-wise. They were worried I would get scammed or overcharged, but fortunately their fears were completely unfounded, because I am now mouse-free without killing a single mouse or paying too much. He was fast & thorough & very affordable and communicative. A couple of weeks after my appt, a Denver activist tweeted a plea for help with her mouse problem, saying she'd been ripped off in the past and didn't know who to trust. I recommended Elite, and within a few days she was mouse-free and thanking me effusively for my recommendation. I'm so glad it worked out for her too; peace of mind is priceless. Steve could be charging a lot more, but instead he's treating his customers (& their uninvited guests) ethically, which is rare. I will definitely continue to recommend him. read more

Elite Animal Control was so helpful in removing squirrels from our attic. Steve was super responsive and did a great job. Very reasonably priced and he was thorough to ensure the squirrels were done and the repairs were secure. Highly recommend and will call him again if the squirrels come back again. read more

I called several people when I saw (or thought?) I saw a snake in my unfinished basement. Steve was there quick and was so gracious. He checked the basement thoroughly and even spent time walking the perimeter of my house - where, (surprise!) he snagged a little garden snake! Popped it in a soft pillowcase and relocated the little gal to a nice, new home. He's not an exterminator but someone who will help you with unwanted critters so it's win-win for all involved. As an animal lover (but one who just does not want them in my home...) I appreciate this. I thought his pricing was reasonable and I would recommend him (in fact, I may need to call him for a new, backyard gopher problem!) read more

Steve at Elite is the REAL DEAL!! I grew up in lake country, in mid-Michigan, so I know more than a little about critters. Steve grew up in lake country in Minnesota, so we had a lot in common and we chatted extensively on many topics. He knows these critters better than they know themselves. He has lotions and potions and altruistic notions. Killing a critter is WAY down on his list of useable tactics. He'll do whatever he can do (and he can do a lot) to solve your problem without resorting to harm. In my case, since our neighborhood has a zillion squirrels, i figured a squirrel or two had found a way into my place and built a nest in my attic. I looked at online reviews and gave Elite a call. Steve' came out and got right to work. Within a few minutes, he pointed out that it probably wasn't a squirrel problem and he quickly identified it as a raccoon issue. His first stage maneuver was to lure the critter (and any possible baby critters) out of the house. He did some work in the attic and said he'd be back in a couple days; to call him if anything changed. The problem was absolutely resolved in that first visit, but he came back a couple days later and reinforced any spots where any critter could get into the attic. It's now three weeks later and we haven't had a single issue. As I say, he's the REAL DEAL!! read more

Steven was very professional, helpful and friendly. I'm so glad I chose Elite Animal Control. We were able to find the problem and advised me on what to do! Thanks Steven! We will definitely be using his services again if we need to! read more

Steve was very knowledgeable and professional. Fast and affordable service. He was able to inspect the attic and roof and got rid of my squirrel problem. Would definitely recommend. read more

I have not had Steve come to our house, yet, but I wanted to give him five stars for the phone calls I've had with him. We had a recent skunk issue and mouse issue, and both times he called me back promptly with some tips and a very affordable estimate. Friendly, helpful, and responsive. I will not hesitate to have him out to our house if we see more animal activity. Thank you, Steve! read more

Steve was awesome! From the initial phone call to set up the appointment to the appointment itself. He was so friendly, kind, generous, thorough, knowledgeable, and very helpful. He was the only individual that called back immediately and worked with me on my availability. He came out on Sunday and took cared of my squirrel problem in the attic. He went and checked the attic to find possible entry ways and even checked the existing vents on the roof to make sure the fencing was in tact. He's also going to come back next Saturday to seal up the opening. All this work and the price was so reasonable! Thank you, Steve! I really appreciate your dedication and your thoroughness. I am so glad I called Elite Animal Control. You really care about your work and most importantly, the animals! I will definitely call you again with any future issues and I will tell all my neighbors! read more

Please note that this review is just for the phone call I had with Steve and not for any service completed. After taking off work and waiting two hours for another company to show up, I finally got a hold of them only to find out that my appt was never put in their books. They eventually got someone out to my house and while they did a good job of explaining things to me, the prices started to seem pretty exorbitant. I was charged $175 for an inspection fee, $190 for two repairs, and $95 for every time they have to pick up any trapped squirrels. It was also recommended that I spend $570 on attic vent repairs - that didn't really need repairs in the first place. I finally decided to call Elite and get their perspective and pricing. Turns out my gut was right and that the fees I was charged were outrageous! Steve provided a ton of information and will definitely be the person I call first next time I have an issue. As someone who almost 100% depends on Yelp for recommendations, I learned a costly lesson the first time I decided to not do my research. Obviously, I hope I don't have any more squirrel/rodent issues after this one is taken care of, but if I do, I will be contacting Elite to take care of it. read more

Just had Steve come out because we had a bird stuck in our fireplace for a few hours. He was super friendly from the get-go and quickly caught the bird and set it free outside. He offered to get on our roof to see what the situation was with our chimney cap and determined that there was no covering over the opening, so birds (and who knows what else!) could easily get in. He offered to add some hardware cloth over the opening to keep pests out, and we gladly accepted, because there's no way either of us are getting up near that chimney! :) Steve was prompt - returned my call within 10 minutes and then was to my house in another 15 minutes! His business is to humanely remove animals. I could tell he really cared! Thanks, Steve! :) read more

Steve was really nice and helpful, he took care of our squirrel problem (we had at least six living in the attic) and then repaired the damage done. Would highly recommend. read more

When I was told that I have birds going in and out of my attic thru an opening near the vent pipes, I wanted to get this fixed asap! So I called Elite animal control, Steve was very nice on the phone and was able to come out the next day to help me with the bird problem. He was very knowledgeable, gave me good tips and confirmed there's actually no birds in the attic and my pipes are fine. He pricing is very reasonable, if I have any critter issues, would definitely call Steve again! read more

Can't recommend Steve highly enough... we had a nest of squirrels in our attic and he removed all of them using great patience and technique. He was always on time and communicated perfectly. Couldn't ask for a better experience!! Highly recommend! read more

I did a lot searching for someone to help with squirrels in my attic. I called Elite due to the great reviews on this site. Steve lived up to it. When he got here, the squirrels were out and about so he did the repairs and got everything sealed up. His price was so much lower than we anticipated. He was very informative with all our questions, even checked our belongings for damage while he was in the attic. Great guy, great price, great service. Highly recommend! read more
