I knew we had bed bugs because my wife, my son, and myself all had bed bug bites (little red bites…read morein patterns of three - we've had them before). We had a pest inspection company come out (I won't name names) and they found nothing. They were adamant that whatever we had was NOT actually bed bugs. We waited about a week, and new bites came up. Then there were little black dots on both mattresses. Then there were black dots on the couch. We had Colorado Bed Bug Dog come out and the dog (Ivy) and her handler (Ari) immediately caught on to the bed bug infestation and pinpointed exactly where the issues were- and it wasn't just the mattresses or couch, Ivy found them in the baseboards and Ari was able to point out bed bug fecal matter and even "exoskeletons" based on where Ivy told her where they were. I'm so beyond impressed (hence the novel) and I'm definitely a believer. I will never choose a "human" inspection company over bed bug K9s again. This was incredible and, had we invited them first, this infection wouldn't have spread or gotten so bad.
