Went for the first time on Saturday. We sat outside on the patio. It was covered and heated which was perfect for the weather that day. The wine was amazing. I did the pick your own flight. We did some appetizers and a flatbread to share. All of our choices were great. The staff was very attentive. We even had a glass of wine at the tasting bar before we left. I'm already trying to figure out when I can get back there . read more

Saddlehill Winery & Farmhouse Kitchen - My wine flight - Wine Tasting Room Near Me - Voorhees Township, New Jersey

Went to Saddle Hill for an afternoon "happy hour". Grace our server was super nice and helpful. We sat under the heated porch. And it was more than comfortable . The inside seemed a bit loud and "echoey". But that's just me. The wine, for NJ , was good. My girlfriend and I only drank the reds though. The food was delicious. We had truffle fries, Amazing!!! and great for sharing.! (Try both ketchups). Pastrami style wings were good for a dry rub. The Burger was incredibly tender with the right amount of cheese, bacon and onions. Margarita flatbread was cracker crust and thin. Good taste with just enough cheese. Shame on the people who tried to trash this place with their one star reviews for the family area. Do yourself a favor, RELAX, leave the kids at home, if you can, and enjoy some time for yourself, and enjoy good food and wine. It's a winery not a family style restaurant. read more

Went on a Friday night with another couple. Beautiful place, enjoyed The red wine flight. The food was wonderful as well, from flat bread to the Arancini. If you like grilled cheese, try the Big Cheese. Our server was Ray, and he tied everything up in a bow and made the experience even more enjoyable. Would definitely ask for him again. read more

The food was amazing. We got the Margherita flatbread, truffle fries, arancini, and the chicken meatballs. I do not have anything negative to say about the food. The service was above and beyond. Our server came in with such a positive attitude and checked on us multiple times. Our food came out very quick! The ambiance was so comforting and clean. Even the animal pastures were clean. I couldn't recommend this restaurant/winery more. Also my server Andrea was so sweet. read more

We went for a chocolate and wine pairing. The presentation was outstanding. I'm more into a sweeter wine than they carry but they said that they are coming soon. We decided to stay for lunch. The food was great the waitress was wonderful. The pairing was in a private room and was quiet. But lunch was a bit loud. If I have to pick the one thing I didn't like it's the parking. The overflow lot is dirt and it was raining when we went. It was a muddy mess. read more

So much fun here! Beautiful to sit outside on a covered patio. Ordered some shareables that were delicious and service was on point. I can't remember his name. Ordered a flight of the whites and Starflower was my fave. Bought a bottle to go. Definitely coming back! read more

Delicious wine & food, and an even better atmosphere! Everyone was kind too. Not to mention the farm animals are a nice add!

This place is soooo good! I love the service it was so good which was very shocking considering how busy it was! The food was amazing! I was shocked, again as I got the pizza! I loved the ambiance and the atmosphere!! Will be returning all the time! read more

What a beautiful and charming hidden gem! The wine flights were excellent (we got white and best sellers). The food was also delicious and fresh. Definitely will be coming back. read more

Just opened in my neighborhood, and it is a fabulous new winery and restaurant. The food was delicious, we had the Pastrami chicken wings as an appetizer, and the Caesar salad, and the grilled cheese. The portions were abundant. The service was excellent, oh and the wine was sooo good. I watched the vineyards being grown developed and it has evolved into the new hi light of the community. read more

What a beautiful winery and such a wonderful Saturday afternoon we just had. We started with the guided wine tasting which was great - so many wines we could have done a 2nd tasting and not even experience half of what they have to offer. Then we had a lunch reservation on the patio - the food was AMAZING. The truffle fries!! I will drive 45 minutes from my house just to have the fries again, and the steak frites highly recommend. We had a wine flight with lunch, tried more of their wines. Next time look forward to trying their wine cocktails, all looked enticing at the other tables. Then the staff walked their horses up to the patio, guests enjoyed petting them. Really just a beautiful afternoon at a beautiful winery. Looking forward to going back soon. read more

Excellent experience. Wine was excellent. Service outstanding. Food was good. We sat on the porch and it was great. Inside seemed extremely loud. Would only request to sit on porch or outside. read more

Beautiful outside area, very spacious. Love the order as you go by scanning the QR code. Wine selections were amazing. The only negative thing I would say is when you order food outside the food comes in "to go" containers. For the price You pay, you really should be served on a plate. I ordered a nice cheese board but it was somehow stacked in a small container. That should be looked into. Since place is so glamorous, that did not match the vibe. read more

Beautiful place food was delicious and Jasmine our waitress was great. Can't wait to back and thank you Mr. Green.

Food and wine are subjective. Having said that, Saddlehill fell way short on both. The service was great and the facility was very nice. read more

Visited Saddlehill Winery for the first time and decided to go for lunch. Was greeted by friendly employees and treated very well by our server Grace. It was a beautiful day and we had a nice lunch on the back patio overlooking the fields. Menu is diversified with many choices, including vegan, vegetarian and gluten free. I had the margarita flatbread with the cauliflower (GF) crust and it was delicious. Wife and I both had a wine flight (white and red) and we both enjoyed all 3 choices. Unfortunately, the Vinho de Sobremesa (sweet port style) was not in my flight so I asked Grace if I could have a small taste and she happily brought me a glass with a small pour. It was excellent and I bought a bottle to take home along with some other wines. Wines and food were very good and worth a trip. Plan to go back again. read more

Amazing food and the Chardonnay was perfect. Not like the normal New Jersey Chardonnay so much better. It's a working winery/ranch with animals and cowboy walking horses around them, putting them in their stables, etc. beautiful grounds. We were there last week and we are definitely going back. I would suggest reservations a must. read more

Service is lack luster. I would not go back again. 2nd time there and service was terrible each time. With a party of 6 and we sat with 20+ wine glasses and dirty plates on our table for an extended period of time. Had to ask at least twice to have them cleared. Venue is beautiful but service is awful. read more

a real star for New Jersey wine and food, saddlehill is both winery and restaurant--bustling, with big crowds well handled, the wines are excellent and very sensibly priced, and a remarkably diverse crowd of wine lovers shows up--outdoor seating in warm weather makes this place especially fun read more

Place overall is good. They are just missing the mark on environment. The main room feels like a school cafeteria. They need to lower the lights, get rid of the ice cold white light bulbs in the chandeliers, play some music (jazz would be nice), and add candles to the tables. Those small changes will warm the venue atmosphere. Warm light bulbs, dim lights, table candles , light music will elevate this place so much. Otherwise, the experience feels cheap. Fluorescent bulbs are never good. It was so bright and muggy. They also need air circulation. It's humid in the main room. Every time the doors to the patio would open , it was beautiful. Small changes here will make saddle hill a step above the rest. Also our server Sam was excellent! She was exceptional at guiding us through the wines and the menu. Loved her recommendations! read more

I loved the atmosphere. The wine was great. The food was very good. I am so happy to have a local winery in Voorhees.

The taste of the food is excellent and the vibe inside is fantastic. I went with the pink sunset spritz and my husband had the Lisa's bc we don't like cab, and we don't like Chardonnay...and the menu consisted of virtually all those types of wines. LIMITED WINE SELECTION. The spritz was good; the Lisa's was ok. Service was SLOW, food was LUKEWARM, and server had that FAKE, condescending voice that is supposed to sound friendly, but doesn't. Sorry to say, we probably won't be back. read more

Visited Saddlehill for lunch today. The patio is lovely with nice views of the lawn. I had a glass of their Rosé which was crisp, dry and delicious and the personal sized charcuterie board that was filling and delicious. The entire staff was welcoming and efficient. The place is beautiful, spacious and comfortable. I bought several bottles of their wine to take home and a lavender soy candle (made there). I will definitely be back! read more

I went to Saddlehill this past weekend with some friends and had the most amazing experience. The wine was incredible to say the least and the service was outstanding. We had a 1230 reservation for inside but it was beautiful outside so I asked if they had any seating outside they didn't have anything until 230. The manager let me know that around that time if I still want to sit outside to go see her and she will accommodate us and that she did. It was amazing. We were able to finish up Inside close our tab and bring everything outside to enjoy the weather. We also ran into the owner. He was so kind and offered anything that we needed chatted a little bit and it was just an all-around great experience. I cannot wait to go back soon. read more

Our large group had lunch here. Everything was delicious. I am not a big truffle person, but the truffle fries were great. Saddlehill is beautiful, what an idyllic setting. The winery is spacious and very comfortable and the staff is very nice and accommodating. I was hoping the wines would be decent, but was pleasantly surprised to find out that they were really good. Several of us ordered flights with lunch and shared so I was able to try quite a few. They were very good, good enough that we bought several bottles to bring home. It is a lovely setting with great staff, great food, and great wine - a terrific way to spend an afternoon. read more

I had high hopes for this place. Unfortunately, we will not be returning. The second we walked in we weren't even greeted. The rude hostess Kelley needs an attitude adjustment. She is representing the winery and first impressions are everything. Doesn't say hi just rudely asks if we have reservations mind you it wasn't even busy. Then proceeds to sit us at the smallest table in the place next to bathroom and walks away. My advice, don't put an ignorant person like her at the front. First impressions are everything. Portion size of food for the price was absurd. Wine mediocre. Ambience was ok. Need to remove the ridiculously small round tables. I felt like our wine glasses were going to fall off table. No space at all. read more

I've been to many local wineries. I think as hoping to be impressed. Went there for dinner with friends. We each had a flight to sample the wines. There wasn't much to say about the flavor. Nothing was remarkable about the wine. The meals were decent but a little overpriced. Will I go back? Probably not. There are much better wineries in the area and honestly, I wasn't impressed read more

What a fun field trip from the Main Line! A group 6 friends wanted to try something different for a celebratory birthday dinner. We landed on Saddle Hill and I'm so glad we did. From the moment our Uber pulled into the Saddle Hill gates, we were transported to Napa. Beautiful property, animals, and vineyards. Loved the vibe of the tasting room / resturant space! Brand new and gorgeous with a comfortable upscale farm feel. My hands were so dry as I forgot to put lotion on when running out the door and was happy to find a display of beauty products made with bee wax from the farm. A sample did the trick but I forgot to buy the magic lotion on my way out - I will be back to get it! Service was excellent. Had an opportunity to chat with the owners who stopped by our table wearing the most amazing Saddle Hill branded belt buckles - what a warm, friendly, and welcoming couple! Love that Saddle Hill is a family owned business. White wine flight was excellent, as were the cabs our table ordered that I tried. We ordered family style and shared everything. Menu highlights were the pastrami wings, truffle fries, prosciutto flat bread (loved the sweet / salty combo the jam on the flat bread provided), Caesar salad (best dressing!!), cheeseburger (unreal), and chocolate chip cookie bar (we were all playing spoon swords for the last bite!!). Can't wait to come back! read more

Food was excellent and service was top notch. The work on the Tasting Room certainly showed the vision that the Saddlehill Team must have been looking for, however, a full Tasting Room would certainly be extremely loud. The only drawback I could see is the "Family Area". It is basically set as far away from the Tasting Room as it could possibly be. It really was just some picnic tables staged near the vineyards, with maybe one or two tables having umbrellas. Food and Wine service is extremely limited here. It seems that Saddlehill didn't want to say "No" to children, but based on their procedures for underage children, they are not really making it a Family Friendly environment. This has led me, unfortunately, to cancel my upcoming reservation, since my grandchildren would not have enjoyed themselves, meaning we all would not have enjoyed ourselves. read more

The land for this winery is seriously so beautiful! We have been watching the build from the beginning and made reservations as soon as we could! Finally being able to get up and close, it truly is a sight to see. I'm glad they took their time on this place because it shows! Once inside, it doesn't feel like a winery. It really feels more so like an upscale restaurant! Very beautiful and large inside. I thought the idea of keeping kids separate from other diners was a nice idea, but I went on a chilly day and felt pretty bad for all the families only allowed to be outside. For it being a somewhat "random" spot for a winery, the wine was the best part. Flights for $20 isn't that unreasonable to me. My table all got a flight and we essentially tried all the wines. I will say that the glass prices are kinda outrageous- which prompted us to just split a flight with the table instead. The bottle pricing is similar but I suppose a tad more reasonable. My favorite wines: -Chardonnay (which I never like!) -Syrah -Merlot -Vitners Reserve -Lisa's The food menu looked insanely good before entering. We got a few things for the table: the chips, truffle fries, "the cowboy" cheese plate and pastrami wings. -The chips were honestly terrible. They're cut on the short end of the potato so they were tiny, and all the seasoning was at the bottom. Plus some chips were just not even crispy. -the truffle fries were decent. The flavor is there but definitely needed more time in the fryer. -pastrami wings were the best thing we had! Sooo crispy and pretty big. -the cheese plate was beautiful, BUT they gave us a plate of broken crackers. That just seems crazy to me especially for a $40 cheese plate. We did ask for new ones which were brought out promptly but I'm shocked they even sent that first plate out. Each couple then split an entree, but they brought out all the food together which I didn't think we needed to tell them to pace it. We got the grilled chicken sandwich and vegetable hoagie- both with dressed greens. -the chicken sandwich was pretty good, no complaints on that. -The dressed greens were so overdressed we couldn't eat them. -the vegetable hoagie had a more sour taste to it. They each took one bite and could not eat anymore. Disappointed there. Overall, I'm definitely returning as I know it's so early on and a lot of kinks to work through. so many things on the menu I want to try- especially the burger! We saw a few pass us and we wished we ordered that. Will definitely return for a wine tasting, and maybe for some entrees but might wait it out for awhile. Can't wait to see this place grow! read more

We were visiting from CA and went to this winery as a family. We did not make a reservation but found an open table and decided to sit there and were told it was ok to use that table. The staff was very rude and had the worst customer service. We were waiting to place an order and the rude guy came and started to close the umbrella under which our mom and other members were sitting. He said it was windy and he has to close the umbrella. we questioned because he did not close the umbrella's of other customers. He then started to stop kids from playing in the grassy area and the only reason we went to this place was because it advertised it as being a family place and all are welcome. We left the place without ordering food or drinks because of the rude attitude of staff. If you are taking your family please look for other wineries in the area where customer service is important to the owners. I will never recommend this place to anyone!!! They do not care about customer service. When we entered the place we told them we were a party of about 20 people including kids and the person rudely said,"you did not bother to make a reservation? this should have been an indication to leave but wanted to give it the benefit of doubt. we sat on the tables available and asked if the table next to us was reserved or ok to use, the guy was so rude again and said,"I already told you they are not". We still managed to sit and Five minutes later he comes and closed the umbrella saying it's very windy. He closed our umbrella and left all other umbrellas on where others were sitting, this behavior was not tolerable at all and we decided to leave this place. We left for another place and they not only accepted our party but provided excellent customer service, this made up for the bad behavior from saddle hills. We will never go back to this low class saddle hill winery read more

My husband and I stopped in at Saddlehill Winery on Thursday, 10/24. The beautiful grounds grabbed our attention from the road, and we couldn't wait to check things out. Bridgette, the hostess, was so helpful, and explained "the ropes" to us, about tastings, flights, and lunch!! Our server, Trish, was amazing...she knew her wines, had great menu suggestions, and answered the many questions we had about this gem of a winery in Voorhees. Everything was DELICIOUS...Along with a flight of Estate Chard, the Signature Rose, Maverick Cab Sav, and Ashenfelter Cab Sav, we got the Prosciutto Fig Jam and brie flatbread, and the Pesto Flatbread with an addition of mozzarella cheese. PERFECTION with every sip--every bite! We purchased three bottles of wine from Maria to bring home, along with Apple Cobbler, and a Pumpkin Tart, and can't wait to get back to Saddlehill. We got a reservation outside after a busy and were looking forward to relaxing and trying a new place. After getting seated we wait for over 20 minutes (I am not exaggerating, we started to time it because it wasn't looking good), not a single server even acknowledged that we were there. Never got a word from anyone after we were seated. Literally the worst service I have ever experienced. read more

Disappointing. Noise level was unbearable. Had to lean across table to speak to my date. Acoustics are horrible. We sat for 20 minutes before a waitress took out wine order. We ordered dinner at the same time. Drinks eventually arrived and 10 minutes later asked if we were ready to order our food. I reminded her that we already ordered when we ordered wine. She came back a couple of times to say our food would be out soon. The setting is beautiful but with the the noise level being so high and the service so poor, we will not be back. read more
