SPECTACULAR! Literally...this winery was TOP NOTCH!! One of the best wineries I have ever been to. Luckily we were there as soon as they opened and it was so beautiful inside. The young ladies who helped us were so patient and explained everything including the wines and food menu. The charcuterie board was huge and everything on it was good, and three of us ordered the shrimp scampi flatbread. Lastly, the wines.....the wines were delicious! We walked out with purchasing at least 3 bottles each. These are the wines I can remember tasting, there were two more I cannot think of: 1. Blueberry 2. Blackberry 3. We recently traveled to New Jersey and had this winery on our list to try. It was a quiet day with only a couple of others there for a tasting, so it was quite enjoyable. Service was great! Here is what we tried: *Ranier Rose - This was good, but we liked the other Ranier versions better. *Ranier Red - This was a very good sweet wine! *Ranier Red - This was also a very good sweet wine! *Red Sangria - This was a good wine, definitely has a raspberry taste to it, at least to us, so not my favorite of the day since I'm not a huge fan of raspberry. *Peach Moscato - This was a really good sweet wine with nice peach flavor. *Huckleberry Moscato - This was also a good sweet wine, but would have preferred a stronger huckleberry flavor, so we preferred the peach. *Almonique - I was most excited to try this one as I love Amaretto. This one was outstanding, definitely tastes like Amaretto without the harsh alcohol flavor. *Smores Cream Wine - It was good, definitely like a smores. *Mocha Java Cream Wine - Our server suggested us to try this one as it was his favorite. We both dislike coffee so we were not expecting to care for this one, but we liked it more than the Smores! Definitely very chocolatey! *Strawberry Mango Cider - This was strong in strawberry with the mango being an aftertaste, but still very good and sweet! *Peach Ginger Cider - This was definitely strong in ginger, almost too much, as I would prefer a stronger peach flavor, but it was still good. This was also sweet. My top three of the day: Almonique, Ranier Red, and Ranier White My husband's top three of the day: Almonique, Ranier Red, and Sangria. I would have loved to have tried some more as it sounds like they have a lot of good wines that are in line with what we liked! When we got home, we ordered some of the wines and ciders and they were shipped very quickly. I will be paying attention to their sales to order more in the future. Had a wonderful time it was pretty empty on the Friday evening we went, but I loved it. They didn't hover over us and let us take as many selfies and photos as we wanted. The grounds are lovely, the service is great and so many wine options it's easy to fall in love with a few. Out for lunch with a friend and a Groupon. My deal offered the membership that offers a discount on all purchases, a bottle of wine, carry bag and commemorative wine glass. Above my offer we opted for the $16 six wine choices options. You are able to choose 6 wines from about 30 choices. We both enjoyed the experience of the wine tasting, cheese tray and walking the grounds. Seeing the grapes were interesting. I hoped for more of a view, I guess I'll need to visit a 'valley' for cascading vines, hills and peaks. A visit to this winery I can see happening often. Tomasello Winery is great, they have multiple locations locations in NJ and they originally had a deal that after purchasing one tasting, you could visit any of their other locations and do a tasting for free. I was told that they discontinued it in 4/19 but its only $5 to sample 5 of their wines and you get to keep the glass. Their main tasting room is located in Hammonton, the tasting room is not as big but can accommodate a good amount of people at a time. I also like the fact that you can buy a bottle or glass and go sit outside in the front or the best part in the back in the vineyard. They also have a banquet hall so its definitely a great place to have an event and you can also have a wedding in vineyard. There's a lot of parking in the back which is really good because they can get packed very quickly especially if they have an event. I love their wines, you have multiple choices from rosé, fruit wines/moscatos, sparkling, red and white wines. I am a big fan of fruit flavored wines and moscatos but lets not forget their mulled spice or spiced apple which can be served warm in the winter. The huckleberry has such a beautiful color you gotta just buy it lol but it taste delicious too. Now some may say its too sweet but also love their ice wine! But once again I feel like they have various types to satisfy everyone and their prices are affordable. read more

This winery is awesome. I had the pleasure of going here for a ladies day out. So glad we chose here. Very affordable with a great selection of wines to try. My favorite was the peach moscato (of course a bottle came home with me) .The ambiance is really nice. The staff was great. The have boards such as cheese boards and spreads. There was no actual food dishes on the menu however we got the big board which was a little of everything , some fruit, breads ,bruschetta etc ,it held us over until we actually had an early dinner. The tasting took place in the front but the real scenery is in the back. Omg beautiful. You can actually purchase a bottle of wine and sit back there to enjoy. Personally, I wasn't blown away by this winery. I've been to better. We sat outside under a tent (as per COVID-19 regulations.) There were a tremendous amount of flies that made it impossible to enjoy the experience. The wines were okay. There were a few good ones, I loved the Raspberry wine the most. The food was good; just wish that it was warmer. I do have to say that our waitress was extremely nice and that the vineyard serves for a great photo opportunity. We did have a situation where we wanted to move areas and the manager seemed as if she didn't want us to sit there. She told us there was no reservations, then to later (a few minutes) send someone else to move us then saying that there were reservations. It was annoying. She kept trying to send us to the back, which seemed a bit disorganized, but instead we chose to go back to our original seating. The waitress was nice enough to offer a table closer to the sun. Personally, I won't be returning because that was all unnecessary, but everyone is welcome to try and check things out for themselves. read more

Me and a group of friends decided to try this Winery for Wine tasting! We were greeted upon entry and seated. They do practice Social Distances and Masks are required. I absolutely love it here!! They have a lot of cool events such as Sangria Saturday ($7 glass of seasonal sangria every Saturday through 2019). I usually frequent their Hammonton location, but their Mt. Holly and Smithville tasting rooms are just as amazing. At their Hammonton location, you can relax in their tasting room, or grab a table outside a well. The best part of their tasting rooms is the 5 for $5 deal. You can try ANY 5 of their wines for just $5 (plus tax). I like sweeter wines, so my favorites are the Blackberry wine, pomegranate wine, huckleberry wine, cherry wine, and red raspberry wine. Tomasello is a beautiful winery. Their wines, in my opinion, are okay. My husband and I headed down south for Barrel Trail Weekend, excited to do barrel tastings. Tomasello was the first on the list we wanted to see. Got there and were very impressed with the grounds and buildings. The women at the tasting table were friendly and let us know the barrel tasting/tour would be starting in a few minutes, but we could do a regular tasting while we waited. We did, and thought the wines were mediocre. My husband tasted a certain "barnyardy" flavor in almost every one that was quite the put off. Although I didn't taste it, I was not impressed with the wines. The barrel tasting/tour never happened. Very, very disappointed. We were there through lunch (very tasty chicken quesadilla), but no guide ever made an appearance. Don't think we'll be heading back. read more

My friend and I arrived at 3:45 and were told that despite the fact that they closed at 5pm, we could not do a tasting because they stopped tastings at 3:30pm. When questioned about this ("aren't you open until 5?"), we were told they allocated NINETY MINUTES for tastings. I understand that people walking in five minutes before you close is annoying, but again, we were two people, there at 3:45, and the fact that we could not taste wine is ridiculous. If you do not want people there after 3:30, just close at 3:30. The winery was almost completely empty and the staff treated us like a nuisance for being there and we were told that "they guess" we could buy wine by the glass and were told multiple times to make sure to bring the glasses back to the bar when we were done. The wine we got was mediocre at best. We were gone by 4:15. We had also gone to nearby Sharrott and White Horse that day, where the staff was welcoming, there was live music to enjoy, more scenic outside seating, and the wine was better. No wonder they were both full of people on this beautiful day while Tomasello was empty. Recommend visiting those wineries and skipping this one. I am a pretty low key person and there is nothing that bothers me more as a customer than being treated like a pain in the ass for simply being there, wanting to give you my business. Don't worry, Tomasello, I won't again make the mistake of arriving 75 minutes before closing - or anytime, ever again. I had been to Tomasello once before and had remembered the staff being unwelcoming but am always willing to give a second chance (sometimes people have bad days!), but that is apparently just the attitude prevalent here. read more

LOVED IT HERE!!! My boyfriend planned a winery crawl for my birthday and this was our last stop. He said he tried calling a few times to set up a tasting for our group but was not able to get a hold of anyone. When we did show up, their staff was more than accommodating. There tastings range from $5 - $14. It just depends if you want truffles, to keep the wine glass, etc. But I loved it here! There were so many wines to pick from, which is great. Tomasello Winery is an outstanding winery. My Girlfriend and I have been to this location a few times. All of their wines are fantastic. The tasting room is large and can accommodate groups, wedding parties and rehearsal dinner parties. This location is generally always busy with tastings. If you Groupon, you can generally always get a great tasting deal. They offer a wine club for, I believe, $10 which is good for a year and gets your 10-15 percent off eac purchase. We belong to the club because it is highly worth it. Every time we have came we have left with no less than 4 bottles of wine. I highly recommend stopping in for a tasting. read more

I specifically stopped here because I read online that they have blueberry wine made with their own Jersey blueberries. 2 minutes ago-Edit So....This is what they advertised...this IS NOT WHAT WE GOT !!! I gathered a group of girlfriends for a "Ladies Night Out" on February 7th. We each coughed up $20 for what we were told was going to be a night out with music and dancing. Look at the Tomasello Winery Ad...a bunch of girls dancing and having fun. THERE WAS NO DANCING AND NO DJ OR DANCE MUSIC. There was a woman who played soft guitar music throughout the night. ARE YOU KIDDING ME ?????? When I asked one of the employees if there was going to be other music for dancing (as advertised), I was told NO....and then she said "I'm kind of bopping in my chair here." Unbelievable !!!! You cannot tell (and sell) a product to paying guests and then deviate completely from what you advertised. We changed our schedules, got sitters, took off from work early, and payed you $20....... for pasta???? There wasn't even dessert....just Hershey's kisses thrown on the table This was an EPIC FAIL for Tomassello and I guess they won because they scammed us out of our $20. I should have made spaghetti and just invited my girlfriends over to my house. I'd like to say we enjoyed the wines, but my friend and I drove all the whole way to visit your winery.. was there at 5 because your business says it's closed at 6 PM and when we got there we were turned away because she said that their bar was closed and they were no longer doing tastings. We visited while in the area and Mike was able to accomodate us, with our toddler and all. If you purchase a groupon you must make an appointment and they are only honored on Saturdays. We walked in without a reservation and they accomodated us as best as they could which we greatly appreciated! This was an unbelievable deal for $25 which included two tastings, a cheese plate, 1 bottle of wine (under $20), and glasses. The cheese plate was diverse - nice variety of cheeses, 3 types of crackers and even chocolate! During my tasting I was able to sample the following wines: -Daffodil White -Blackberry -American Almonique -Sparkling Blueberry -Blanc de Blanc Brut -Cranberry -Pomegranate -Blueberry Pomegranate -Atlantic County Vintage Port The whites were very aromatic and the fruit wines very interesting. I usually cannot take the sweet wines but the pomogranate and cranberry were not too sweet and were tangy/tart as well, which i loved! There were so many more wines I wanted to try like their Rose and their specialty spiced wines. They are also a banquet with a beautiful alter in the rear which would work perfectly for a wedding. Mike was gracious enough to sign me up to their gold card club (which they mail to you) and entitles you to receive 20% off your purchase, 25% off wine of the month, advance notice on new releases, and free shipping on atleast 6 bottles of wine to direct ship states. I got married here in Sept 2018 and it was absolutely amazing. They were so helpful leading up to the wedding and with getting all the details planned out. They did a great job on my wedding day of keeping people where they needed to be and keeping things organized. The food was absolutely amazing and the staff was absolutely wonderful. I would highly recommend them for events that you're looking to have, they take care of so much for you. I have been to many wineries for both tastings, tours, events, etc. I was excited to go to Tomasello because I have bought their local wine many times and they are so yummy that I was exited to visit their tasting room and there was one close to me in Hammonton. I went with my bf who has never been to a winery and with the Hammonton location being small and quaint I figured this would be a good first stop because he would be able to get more information and it would be more personable. I thought wrong. When we went we were hardly acknowledged. It took several minutes before we were addressed and checked in. When attending other wineries they would either provide you with water to rinse out your cup after every taste/pour or even to wipe your pallets clean. The server normally shares their extensive knowledge of wines and provide great insight on which one is good and taste best when paired with whatever combination of food. For new wine enthusiasts, suggestions and recommendations are given, they are taught how to smell and swirl the glass and wait for the flavor to settle etc. None of this was said. Good thing I been to many others though so I knew what to do and expect. Our wine glasses were never rinsed out just had the new wine poured into the glass mixing flavors. I was so disappointed in my experience and terrified for his 1st impression. Normally I like to spend at least an hour at a venue when I go. We stayed maybe 30 min top to make the most of our purchase but it was extremely underwhelming. I hope some customer service training is provided sooner rather than later to the front tasting room personnel. read more

I am a local have help three big events at the Hammonton location. Service was great food great. I recently purchased a case of moscato (varied flavors) my concern and gripe is that I paid $3.50 per bottle. Don't get me wrong wine was great what upset me was that the very next day o went to local liquor store to buy lottery and just for shits and giggles I looked at the prices for the same wine I had purchased the day before. To my amazement the same wine was priced at $9.99 a bottle. I thus over paid by $42. I called Tomasello's to complain and was given a bs story that the reason I overpaid was that they guarantee the freshness at their store. Well how about that. Aye Aye Aye OK... at this point.... there are 8 ladies who have been to 2 winery's already within the last 2 hours. It should have been easy to keep this happy train rolling... The train came to a complete stop. I didn't love the service at this venue. We were overlooked, I felt. We weren't greeted in a warm manner. The Older guy who worked there was really trying and he was helpful. However at this point we were getting sleepy. The wines were interesting and we really appreciated the cheese and cracker platter that was laid out for us. This was another low key tasting but it was just OK. Oh yeah... we corked the heck out of this place...but they didn't have corks to take with is.... which is fine... we decided to pass on the last and final winery we were supposed to go to.
