Everyone is so friendly here! The girl work was more than happy to explain things to us about the menu, the wines and even the estate. There's an indoor area, like a huge garage inside that you can sit in, as well as an outdoor area, both under an awning and another under umbrellas. Despite the heat, we decided to sit under the awning, because it was a bit sterile and gloomy feeling inside. We ordered a flight and a 16 oz wine slushee, which comes with a complimentary plastic to go cup. The slushee was a bit too sweet for me, but it was great given how sweltering it was outside. We were happy to enjoy some of these grapes at Plagido's Winery where they are family owned and handcrafts wine from their own grapes grown on acres of land. From dry reds and whites to semi-sweet and sweet, and even sangria and slushies, and cheese plates along with a small food menu, it is a peaceful place to spend time with your pup. Leashed dogs are allowed at the outdoor seating in the back with front row views of the vineyard and sunset. A must stop if you are in Hammonton along the wine trail. Friendly owners and they have the cutest dog running around. Which means this place is dog friendly!! That's a plus... I always shave the best time at Plagido's whether I am wine tasting or siting on the back deck area gazing at the sunset and vineyards, but only this time I was able to witness grapes actually growing from the vines. My dog was welcomed with open arms and was given a little bowl of water. It's always awkward traveling with our dog because we get turned away from some establishments who do not allow dogs, although our dog is well trained. So it was nice to be able to enjoy a nice glass or two of wine with our dog. We decided to try their wine flight which was a mix of reds, whites, and rosè. Let me tell you, there was not one bad tasting wine. There are tons of experiences at this location. You can visit inside to for a tour of the fermentation process and how things are done and enjoy a cheeseboard. Needless to say we left with a few bottles of wine and will most definitely visit again soon. read more

I've been to Plagido's before, and had a very good time doing tastings with their friendly staff. But last week, my mom and I had the pleasure of going for a casual outdoor lunch, and had a BLAST. The winery is doing such an excellent job during Covid-19, I had to shout them out. Reservations are strongly encouraged, since obviously they can accommodate less people than usual so they want to make sure everyone who comes in can get a table. When we arrived, an employee checked us in from behind a small glass wall. There was a small side table with hand sanitizer for us to use as well. Payment is done up front, like setting up a bar tab, so that you can use a credit card (they have apple pay and emailed receipts!) with as little hand to hand touch as possible. We ordered from the front employee. There are lots of options available at the moment! Plagido is selling wine by the glass, by the bottle, and they have a flight option as well. They also have deliiiish red wine sangria, and as of July 2020 they are doing some KILLER sangria slushees and even a sangria float with ice cream? Didn't try the latter. :) But the sangria was great. It's made with two types of their red wine, and added pineapple and fruit juice. You can purchase by the pouch ($25 for a 1.5 liter), or a great option for those traveling is to purchase the 2 bottles of wine and then they give you a cute recipe card to make your own at home. So handy, since the sangria needs to be kept refrigerated immediately, and wonderful to be able to make at your own leisure at home. They are only providing outdoor seating due to state regulations at this time. There were .. maybe 10 tables at least outside? I think each table will hold at least 4 people as well, and all either under the awning of the building, or with an umbrella attached for shade. Even in 94 degrees, we didn't feel too awfully hot. There was only one female employee (blonde maybe?) there, and of course I don't remember her name, but she was wonderful. Super friendly, explained everything very patiently, and brought out everything we needed so quickly even though there were 3 other groups as well. Oh, and lastly a great feature is you can BYO food! They do offer a cheese plate, which is an awesome feature if you don't feel like packing food, but I loved that we could bring in whatever we wanted for no extra fee. Five stars because we had fun! We walked in, and now mind you this is totally different from Sharrot or White Horse, and got a big warehouse type feel. We paid a few bucks each to do a tasting, and headed into a big room full of tanks. A few women were behind a long table pouring, and I felt like we tried ten million! Some I hated, some I loved, and that's the point of it all, right? I'm excited to come back in the summer to sit on their outside patio. There isn't much seating, but it's quiet and so pretty out there. read more

Wow. Seriously. Wow. I'm writing this review after coming from another winery that was just ok. What a contrast. My gf and I walked in the door to be greeted by the bright smile and cheery hello from Alex who proceeded to give us the best wine tasting ever. For only $8 you get quarter ounce pours of their ENTIRE list. That's not a typo, you don't have to choose, you can try everything. Alex was super knowledgeable and even told us some things we didn't know. Plagido's is a small winery that grows everything onsite and what they don't grow, they get local. Like blueberries from 10 doors down local. And the bonus?! You can bring your own food and enjoy it on their patio. Plagido's earned these five stars. Bravo. read more

Girls Night Out! This was a very nice evening out. The owners were friendly, knowledgeable, and eager for everyone to enjoy the wine and cheese. They went through each wine and explained how the accompanying cheese paired with it. The final wine was paired with chocolate. We really enjoyed the evening and will be back for future events. There was bottled water, crackers and and additional chocolate for everyone's enjoyment. They even made one of the guests at our table a sample sangria with pineapple juice. So apparently like 30 min from AC there's a few wineries u can go to. Super affordable too. This is one of them. Family owned. Cute when you walk In. Small. They were so nice and greeted us so lovely! So happy to see us! Pet friendly! So u can take your little one with you but you just can't be inside with your little one. You have to go around to the back. The back felt so relaxing and beautiful. Because we were there on a Monday at 1 p.m. we had it all to ourselves Wine tasting had great pricing. They do pour a little less than what I'm accustomed to. I guess we got spoiled because of how much they poured in other countries. They don't have food but do have a cheese platter. Make sure u eat before u come here. I did read a review stating that outside food was allowed in. You may want to ask. The cheese, fruit, etc. Platter was tasty! Nice, small family-owned winery that I visited with a few friends because I had a Groupon deal for wine tasting with cheese plate and chocolates. The two ladies that I interacted with at the tasting were very nice and friendly. I was surprised that a wine tasting included any and all of their wines (that they have in stock). You don't have to choose 3-5 that you are interested in! That being said, I tried several wines that I normally wouldn't try, which was a really fun experience. There were 1-2 wines that I really liked, and I enjoyed that they have an "unsweeted" version of the traditional NJ blueberry and cranberry wines, as sometimes when they're mixed with other things they taste more like juice than wine. I had a nice time in the wine tasting room (which is actually their storage room and has large vats of wine to prove it) and didn't feel pressured to purchase anything, which was really nice also. I didn't personally like the majority of their wines, but they have so many wines to choose from that you are guaranteed to find something that you'll like. :-) read more

This was our first stop in my Birthday Winery Crawl and the staff here was so wonderful and nice!!! My boyfriend set up a tasting session and were were able to try everything!!! Loved it! You can get cheese plates for $5. Decent. Not special or unique since they just cut cheese cubes up and use wheat thin crackers, but it was still delicious. My two favorites here: Sangria (AMAZE) Blackberry wine + White wine (This was a suggestion from one of the ladies there, she mixed two of their wines together and it was so good!!!) It's a drizzly Thursday on vacation, so what do you do? You don't whine about it, you wine it! As luck would have it, I stumbled upon Plagido's Winery and was better for it. A small, family-owned winery, they take pride in everything they do and it shows. Each wine was masterfully poured by owner Candice, who imparted her wine wisdom with each chosen option. Locals (aka The Boys of Summer) stopped in for a glass of their favorite of the month. It's so nice to know that it's not just a stop on a wine tasting map, but also a place where people come to enjoy the wines over and over. I love the familiarity of that. All their wines are made from grapes grown either on their property or from other local properties, without sulfites, and the quality showed. It must have, because I left there with a case of their wares. So now I, and my friends to whom I will gift some of them, will all benefit! read more

We really enjoyed this winery. There were quite a few wines to choose from for our tasting which was only eight dollars for six samples. Each of us then bought glasses of wine to drink in the Wine making area behind the tasting room. The lady giving us the tasting was fantastic - she explained every wine and told us what flavors to expect. I really enjoyed the wines. I also bought a bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon to take with us. Viva Le Wine..... Our Cinco De Mayo Bachelorette party crew stopped at Plagido's second. We first and foremost corked the hell our of them to participate in the cork wars... and picked up a few of their corks to keep the party going. This winery was smaller than the last we visited but still a very nice place and friendly staff. We tasted a few new wines and took part in more sangria...I mean... at this point...what can go wrong? Plagido's is a fun, laid back spot along the NJ wine trail. The staff is a lot of fun, and the wine is great. My favorite aspect of this winery is the unlimited tasting. Instead of only being limited to five sips, you are welcome to try whatever they have. Most of the wine was delicious. The Cinqua was ridiculous...a must try. The Concetta was a very easy to drink red that seems to be one of their best sellers. The only one I didn't care for was the sangria, as the pineapple flavor was overpowering. As far as aesthetics are concerned, Plagido's doesn't really have much. Their tasting room also doubles as their stock room. But it is a solid winery that should be checked out! read more

I went to this winery with my partner for my birthday weekend. We also tried a couple of other wineries that were nearby as well. The wines they make here are a bit sweeter than average...almost a little bit too sweet for a good white wine that you could serve with dinner, but good to use as a bottle of fun wine when you're just having drinks around your pool or on your patio. What little this winery lacks in wine making talent, however, they more than make up for in personality. These folks were incredibly friendly. For the cost of our tasting they practically let us taste everything they made and multiple times if we wanted. The owner and her family are the kind of people you'd want to break open a bottle of wine with and just relax and chat on the patio. We would definitely come back and visit them again. read more

Plagido's has a bare bones basic wine tasting where you bring your own snacks and can munch standing room style. The samples were given out on anything we asked for and the pourer we had was down the earth. She did know the wines well and could talk the lingo. I admit to not being a wine expect and definitely am a table wine type of gal. I wasn't 100% sold on any wine being eyebrow raising wonderful. I did buy one of their best sellers since it was decent. Other points are that they have a parking lot and very small shop. They close at 5 pm and do host group events. read more

I recently discovered that New Jersey (and most states apparently) have a winery passport. You get it stamped at each winery you to go and once its filled out you can submit it in to win a trip somewhere like Portugal. Anyway, I bought the livingsocial deal for Plagidos since it is on the passport list and was not disappointed at all. The deal itself was said to get you a chocolate & cheese plate and about 5 tastings. We went to Charlie (who was awesome and really entertaining) and he let us try all of the wines and even resample ones we were deciding to buy. It isn't one of the larger wineries, and since we went in the late fall we didn't tour the place, but personally I thought the service and wine were both excellent. I will definitely go back, and hope to see them at some of the different wine trails as well! read more
