I visited this place a few days ago. The atmosphere was terrible. The manager was very rude. Even his employees made comments about his terrible attitude and behavior. With him in charge this is definitely a place I would not recommend. He may think this is about being told not to video. That's not the case. If you were polite and if that is truly your policy I have no problem with that. But to rudely yell and act as if you were talking to your child is unacceptable. His employees can clarify his behavior and attitude. I could have made a scene but I politely left the establishment to avoid a confrontation. Let's just say I would never go back. read more

Wine lovers will love this place. First of all, the tasting room is so quaint and inviting. Very personal atmosphere to enjoy some fantastic wine. There is a wide range of wine to try. I'm a dry wine drinker and found the selection amazing. If you like traminette, this is a light refreshing wine. I love the winemaker's blend with a perfect balance of flavors that wasn't too heavy with cab franc, cab sav, and merlot. Then I tried the fire blend which was even smoother. If you like sweeter side, the wines are definitely full body and full flavor. We tried the sweet pinotage that was not too sweet with a burst of flavor. If you are looking for a summer wine, I recommend the Aloha. The staff are very knowledgeable and very engaged with the customers to make sure that you enjoy the experience. I am always looking for a new winery to explore. I saw one social media hit for Kennedy and thought "Who is that? Must go check it out". Then my old brain forgot. What brought us finally to Kennedy Cellars was a meal at Mannino's Cucina in Pitman. Mannino's is a byob but features Kennedy Cellars' wines. I had ordered a Bordeaux Blend that I thought was very good. I visited for the first time Sunday 1.8.23 at 12noon. The interior tasting space is cozy and offers different seating options. We had a dry red flight, popcorn, and crostini. I loved every wine tried and the snacks. The snack servings were generous and quality. All staff were pleasant. However, Danny was especially friendly and extremely informative on the wines. We purchased four bottles with the intent to come back for another tasting of what we didn't have a chance to try in this visit. Highly recommend checking this place out. read more

Spent a fun and relaxing afternoon at Kennedy Cellars Winery with my husband. We had flights of wine to taste and a great cheese board, but the best part was Danny! This was our 2nd visit to this winery. The wines are pleasant. Atmosphere inside very nice. Now my c/o. The cheeseboard is $25. What were received were pre-cut. Tasteless cubes of cheddar and pepper Jack that comes in bulk bags from BJ's or Costco. for that price it would've been nice to have a small piece of breed or some gourmet cheese. There about eight grapes on it and some crackers that were similar to Ritz. very very disappointing. Our second complaint, is that one of the employees was very loud,was offering some patrons in the place freetastings of some wine in the back, but didn't offer to everybody. IHe was very jovial with one table but so loud he was annoying to the rest of the people in the place. I understand trying to make it a fun party atmosphere, but you only focused on one small group of people. If you expect people to come back, we need to treat everybody equally. Also would've been nice if their description of the wines on the selection list. Our server had to go get her cheat sheet and she really didn't know that much about the wines. read more

The first time I visited here it was an amazing experience. All of the wine was so good and the cheese plate was made with such care but the real reason it was great was because of the hospitality. This was when Kennedy first opened but I was excited to stop by recently. My husband and I brought our baby and gladly sat outside for fear of fussiness. I know, a baby at a winery isnt always greeted with smiles (literally wasn't when we opened the door) but we don't have a lot of time to go anywhere, especially without him, and Kennedy had been on our list since the last visit (about 2.5 years ago). Because of this we also got there way later than we planned but knew we would be quick. Unfortunately, nothing felt the same. The kitchen was closed since they close at 5, it was 4:15 but again we knew it was a quick stop so not a huge deal. We ordered 2 flights and I found ONE glass to be the most palatable. Disappointed...I just feel like if the same two men were there it would've been a much better experience but since it's a drive and didn't feel especially child friendly (that's fine, I get it's a winery) I can't foresee going back anyway. read more

Had my 24th wedding anniversary afternoon here. Been here at least 10 times prior to this occasion, but Dan and Sean made it (in promptu) top notch. We were welcomed with 3 tastings of their newest passion ranging from a crisp Chenin blanc followed by a barrel forward Malbec then their bold and beautiful "Big Rush". We were seated in their cozy tasting area and had plenty to talk about with the charismatic hosts. We then ordered some lovely truffled popcorn that kept us picking and satiated. We had ordered a special glass of Malbec each which we loved so much then after much discussion about unknown vineyards in Wisconsin, Ohio, and Seneca lake we ended our tasting with a sweet wine fantasy. It was so amazing ! I would do it three times over again the same way. Tastings of delicious sweet wines with chocolate pairings ranging from Strawberry, blueberry, and Chambouricin Rose were so delicious with their chocolate pairing counterparts. This vineyard is a well thought out experience of grapes and the culture of winemaking. Would do it all over again the same way. read more

I went here with a few of my girlfriends. We were seated outside and it was DEAD. We were one of the only parties there all day. We were hanging out all day, having fun, being goofy amongst ourselves. We were not loud or disruptive, especially since no one else was there. One of the employees came out as we were all laughing and goofing around and told us our behavior 'would no longer be tolerated'. It was very rude and not at all necessary. We were not bothering or disturbing anyone. His comment was inappropriate. I will never visit this winery again. A bunch of snobs!! read more

Wow, what a surprise to discover this wonderful winery in Hammonton, NJ. It was my birthday and my husband planned time in Smithville and asked what else I would like to do. I suggested a winery but we were not very optimistic about Jersey wines. Based on reviews and the fact they were open on Monday we decided to give Kennedy Cellars a try. We had such a lovely afternoon. We each did a flight (4 wines) of their reds so we actually tried 8 different wines and rated them on a scale of 1-5...well, we had a couple of 6's along with several 5's! We ordered some appetizers to enjoy with the wine and the Truffle Popcorn was a total surprise accompaniment. The staff, ambiance, food and most especially, the wines (along with the company of my husband!) made for a memorable birthday afternoon. We bought 10 bottles and know we will be back again. The only problem with a positive review...our new secret winery won't be a secret for long! read more

Kennedy Winery has a great vibe and some terrific dry wines! We sat outside in comfortable patio seating amidst canopies and gazebos while laid back music played in the background. We enjoyed various custom flights of 4 solid pours and our hosts, Danny and Sean (sorry if misspelled) were delightful as they described the wines and the history of the winery. We enjoyed a thoughtful cheese plate to accompany our wines, and there were other delicious offerings as well. Note that this is a mid-day place; wine service is cut off at 3:30 even though they are open until 4. Our favorite wines were their dry reds including their Clone 169 Cabernet Sauvignon, their Bourbon-Aged Syrah, and their Bourbon Barrel-Aged Montepulciano. Their Bordeaux Style Blend is a decent red table wine at an affordable price as well. This is a great place to hang out with friends due to their ample seating for groups. The inside bar is tastefully decorated, and even their bathroom has elegant touches of winery decor. Overall, this is one of the nicer wineries if you are looking for a chill place with delicious wines to sample! read more

The wind was not on our side and spilled our wine and the staff gave us new glasses from what was spilled and helped my friend clean up when it got on her jacket.
