Last month, my husband signed us up for the Spain vs France wine class one evening, and I can't believe we never thought of coming here before. The class was full. Whether you were a beginner or moderate level, it didn't matter, the class was easy to follow and informative. Our instructor was fun, knowledgeable and personable. The Wine School of Philadelphia offers professional wine certification courses and wine tasting classes, but they also have classes for beer tasting, AND brewing too! They are all very reasonably priced. I would advise to book your classes ahead of time, as they will sell out.

More importantly the collection notice was for the full class even though I paid it through Amex and they canceled it. The monthly fee was never the issue-I would have gladly paid it. In fact i was going to restart the online course in 2023 when i had time again--but getting a collection notice was the final straw. I know many Wine School graduates. They say the same thing--good class--Keith is a jerk. I get it now

When considering a wine tasting, I was a bit skeptical at first. I've heard of some poor experiences, such as receiving very ordinary wines you can find at your local store for half the price. Working with Miranda and DJ put me at ease. They made such an effort to understand my needs for the event, especially being that I was planning this for my key clients. They curated a number of very unique wines, many of which I've never heard of before and guided me in how to procure them to reach my customers in time for the event. We worked closely together in crafting a highly engaging experience that would keep my clients captivated for the 1.5 hours. Miranda's sense of humor and style had my clients entertained the entire time, with several of them asking for recommendations for their personal wine collection. Overall, The Classe Cru delivered far above my expectations! I've since reached out to them to curate wines for dinner parties and holiday gatherings. Their selections have always impressed my guests and perfectly complemented the food!

This same woman has been rude/ unfriendly to me on multiple occasions. I usually never leave the store without spending at least $100. When I told her the crackers I bought yesterday for a dinner party were expired she just looked at me with a fake smile and said she had them recently and that is how they are supposed to taste. I spent three months in Italy and never have I tasted something so stale. I was explaining to her how awful they were and no I would not like another bag. She just kept saying I'm sorry and smiling. No refund, and unwilling to say the customer is right. Will not be returning there.

You have to literally log on to their website the minute the classes are posted and reserve a spot immediately. We got married in May and have been trying to use our gift certificate ever since. It was worth the wait! Our event was hosted by The Royal Chef (Darren McGrady). He cooked for 5 US Presidents in addition to the Queen of England and her family. Needless to say, he didn't disappoint. Not only was the food he created fantastic, but he was personable and super funny. There were 16 people total (which is the max for the space) and we enjoyed observing Darren and learning new techniques. The wrap-around counter ensures that eveyone has a bird's eye view. We loved every minute of it. Our menu included: - Blueberry, Feta and Kale Salad - Chili and Garlic Crusted Shrimp with Double Cheese Grits - Minute Steaks with Blue Cheese, Caramelized Onions, and Cannellini Bruschetta - Sticky Toffee Pudding with Clotted Cream The staff at Cook is top-notch. Never an empty wine nor water glass, and plates were delivered and cleared with the quickness. It was a casual, social, and fun setting. This is not a hands-on culinary event, rather, this is an event where you sit back, relax, and watch your chef work their magic. You don't have to lift a finger and that's the way I like it! You can purchase kitchen gadgets and goodies at this location at a 15% discount on the day of your event. Cook offers something for everyone. Some of the events are pricey, but there are some that are more budget-friendly. Check it out and be sure to work those quick-typing fingers to reserve a fun class fast!

The incredible cheese selection, the curated Italian pastas, wines, and specialty foods -- it's a food lover's dream. I felt like a kid in a candy store, completely mesmerized by all the options. The staff was friendly, and everything looked so high-quality and well-presented. I was genuinely tempted to buy an assortment of cheeses to bring back home, and I still kind of regret not doing it. That said, I did have one experience that made me pause. Later that evening, as I walked by after closing hours, I peeked through the window to show my husband the shop I had visited earlier and I happened to see a few mice moving around inside the store. It was definitely unsettling to witness, especially after seeing all the exposed cheeses and displays earlier in the day. I completely understand that older city buildings (especially in places like Philly) have their challenges, and I'm sure this isn't unique to Di Bruno Bros. Still, as a customer, it did take away from the magic of my earlier visit. Overall, Di Bruno Bros. is a gorgeous and well-curated Italian market that I'd recommend visiting for its atmosphere and specialty goods but I hope management is able to address cleanliness concerns, because the store truly deserves to shine as brightly as its reputation.
