Yesterday, 05/02/26, my husband & I decided to check out Armageddon Brewing on the first stop of our date night for a night cap. A GF sent me a TikTok reel of the Brewery since she has celiac & I have a GF intolerance. My husband & I enjoyed both of our flights we got. As seen in the picture provided I did a cider flight as well as my husband. Then my husband decided to try the meads and did a flight of those. I ended up just getting a 4 Oz of another cider. The staff were super helpful with recommendations & they were super friendly! We enjoyed the environment of the Brewery as well! Will definitely have to take a trip back again soon! read more

Wow. This place is incredible. Looks like a typical NJ brewery both inside and out (located in an industrial park with the usual exposed beam ceiling and concrete floors inside) but plot twist: they only brew ciders and meads. No beer. But the ciders and meads are phenomenal. My girlfriend and I stopped in yesterday on a Saturday afternoon, which was our first time there. We each tried a cider flight and a mead flight and loved everything. Definite standouts for me were the Mother Muse and Tulsi (both had a nice mix of sweet fruit taste with a hint of herbs like rosemary and basil) and the Ayamarcay with its decadent peanut/chocolate flavor. The story of how this place came to be is just as incredible. Founding member Christian Annese was misdiagnosed many years ago with Celiac, which led him to the world of ciders and meads. At the time, NJ laws made it incredibly difficult to brew quality cider, and mead was effectively illegal. So Christian and his partners worked tirelessly with NJ legislators to change the law, and in 2020 Armageddon opened for business. Highly recommend a visit. We will definitely be back! read more

The flight we had was so good and we especially loved the "Cataclysm" cider made with cranberries, orange peel, and cinnamon! All the spirit names have interesting stories behind them. The indoor tasting room is dog friendly and designed with a cool balance between industrial with white cement walls and a grey cement floor to warm wood paneling behind the bar, beautiful wooden tables, and seasonal touches. We were happy to see the South Jersey legend @pint_size_leah behind the bar pouring drinks, talking about the products, and giving love to all the doggie patrons. She is a craft connoisseur! Wow! This place f***s!!! I love a really well produced cider and Armageddon SLAPS YOUR ASS JUST THE RIGHT WAY! I can't try too many, but Kusanagi made with lemongrass is killer. Stopped in after work one day last week with my boyfriend. I liked it! I liked that they make ciders and meads. What a nice change of pace from a beer brewery! Industrial feel inside. Cement floors, large and heavy wooden tables and benches. We joked that the benches would definitely hold our weight because so many breweries have almost flimsy tables and benches. I ordered a flight of ciders and my boyfriend got a flight of mead. I liked trying more then one cider! We are looking forward to going back and trying some new flavors!! read more

I love this place. As many reviews already mentioned, it's a brewery with a twist. No beer, but the ciders and meads will make you a convert in no time! It's a little hard to find, but your search will pay off. Service is friendly and informative if you have any questions about their craft. It's a quiet little spot serving amazing ciders (meads aren't my thing, but even those are good). Cool people, chill atmosphere, great drinks, can't ask for more than that. Really nice ciders and meads, we ended up taking some to go. Really hope the Iconoclast can become a full-time cider. The interior is abit specific to their theme and aesthetic, but I prefer any direction then none. Service was nice, quick and very friendly. read more

I am a huge hard cider person and this place did not disappoint. It really is off the beaten path but worth the stop. My boyfriend and I came here around 2:30 PM on a Saturday. They are open between 2-8 PM and are dog friendly! The menu was a bit limited so you were able to double up on flights. We both got full 10 oz pours of Desolation & Ida's Heart. With tax it came out to $16 total. The staff was very helpful, informative, and friendly if you were having trouble picking out what to drink. Desolation really reminded me of the taste of mead and gave you a wintery feel. This is a limited seasonal item so get it while you can. Meanwhile, ida's heart reminded me of a sweet wine. If I find these inside a local liquor store I will definitely purchase some. Will be returning again when there are new seasonal flavors. read more

Such a great cider spot! I can honestly say I haven't met a cider here that I didn't like! The staff here are super friendly- Christian was happy to go into details about any and all things cider!! This is definitely a go to spot whenever I am in town. Pro-tip: they are kid and dog friendly AND you are welcome to bring your own food or order takeout and eat in the cidery. This place is a hidden gem. A coworker and I came here after work, around 6:30p on a Friday and the place was NOT packedcat all. You wouldn't know it's there, unless you know it's there! The vibe was chill, laid back. It was a little loud at times, but a great atmosphere. The tables next to us ordered had pizza delivered from who knows where! The bar only offers gluten-free popcorn and chips. Now on to the best part, this was 1st time trying mead and it blew me way. I got the dicordia and it was crisp, strong and vert tasty! This is the first time I've ever been to a cidery or meadery before so I wasn't too sure what to expect. I'm not a huge fan of mead so I did not try any, however, I went in not knowing whether or not I'd even enjoy cider. The room was a decent size and it wasn't too bright which I like. It was pretty crowded (a good thing) so we took the table farthest away from the bar. They had these beautiful homemade display pieces for their shirts and glasses hanging on the walls made from old pallets that looked cut and stained with an added shelf at the bottom (I may need to steal that idea). Before arriving I had my mind set on a flight so I could try numerous different ciders. As I said above, I've never been to a cidery and have never had cider so my goal was to try as many as I could. There were 3 meads available and about 7-8 different ciders (1 of which wasn't available in flights). The bartenders were nice and were definitely helpful when it came to questions and suggestions. The flight ran $12 for 4 4oz pours. I chose Exile, Hopped Massacre, Ozuno, and Ida's Heart (in order from left to right in the picture I posted). All 4 ciders looked completely different, and the flight itself looked beautiful due to the bright and varying colors. I was shocked at how great each one tasted. They were light, crisp, and refreshing. My favorite one by far was Hopped Massacre which i could see myself drinking outside on a warm summer day. It's a blood orange cider hopped with citra hops. Ida's Heart was also delicious which had hints of raspberry flavor. I never tried ciders before because I never expected I'd enjoy them. Boy was I wrong. I 100% expect to be back to Armageddon. There are two things that made my review 4 stars instead of 5: 1) the selection seemed a little limited. 3 meads and maybe 7-8 ciders. One wasn't available in flights and 2-3 were the same as the others just made slightly different. 2) The prices seemed a little high. Maybe these are typical prices for cider and mead? $12 for a flight of cider. $10-$12 for a glass of mead. I believe it was $35 for a bottle of mead. These factors would not impact my decision on whether I'd come back or not, I definitely am planning on it and I really enjoyed my first experience. read more

New Cidery/Meadery in South Jersey! It's been in the works for a few years and they've officially opened on January 31st! Finding the place was a little hard! It's located near Flying Fish Brewery... walking distance from it. But what made it hard to find was that there was no huge sign distinguishing it from the other warehouse businesses right next to it. Look for the wine barrels surrounding the door with thhe Armageddon logo and that's the door you enter! There's street parking available for no cost. Ambience You walk in and the space is more spacious than the outside looks! Since this weekend was it's Grand Opening, be prepared to not have a seat and stand around with your drinks. It was a bit tough holding the flight with nowhere to place your drinks. I suggest more tables or maybe placing those wine barrels around the seating area so we can at least have something to set our flights on. Ciders They've got 5 on tap currently all of which had all really great flavors that were distinct from each other! I honestly thought they would all taste the same, but the flavors surely did not disappoint! Here are the one's I tried: - Exile: It was a semi dry cider and was their traditional cider. It was easy to drink and not overly sweet. - Resurrection: This one was sweet and tons of honey flavor. The honey was a little overbearing for me so it wasn't my favorite. I probably wouldn't be able to drink a lot of this one, so a sample size was good enough for me! - Desire: This one was hands down my favorite! Made with local New Jersey blueberries... you can taste the blueberry flavors just popping through.. not to sweet either! - Ida's Heart: This one is a semi dry cider with a punch of tartness. A little to tart for my liking, but again still really tasty! This is definitely a place to check out! Prices are decent with their flights at $11! Great local cider distillery. Kind of hard to find but once you do, you are in for a pleasant surprise. They have several tables and a long bar. When we arrived they only had three on tap but they were all delicious. My personal favorite was the Exile which was a great blend of tart and crispness. They have various board games to help you spend your time. Can't wait to go back in a couple weeks when they add Mead to their menu. read more

Awesome hard ciders & meads. The atmosphere is relaxed and I enjoy watching the old Kung Fu flicks playing in the background.

Haven't yet made it inside due to COVID shit downs, but have placed a few crowler orders and the ciders rock! Of the 5 ciders I've tried there has yet to be a bad one. Can't wait until they can reopen because the taproom looks cool. read more

This place is a great addition to the craft brew scenery and it stands triumphantly as the first cidery in SJ. After missing the grand opening I went with a friend last Thursday. The location is a little out of the way being situated in a low key industrial area a couple blocks from the imposing Flying Fish brewery. The front door with nondiscript signage opens into a surprisingly large space with a high ceiling. The vibe is laid back with a good mix of people. I ordered a flight and liked all the hard cider offerings. The Desire was nice which hinted of blueberry. Exile was solid. Resurrection was honey laden sweetness. Congrats to Christian and Ameetha and Matt for achieving their dream. Looking forward to trying the mead when its ready. read more

In a sea of craft breweries, a cidery and vinyard is very refreshing, as are their many great offerings. Make sure you try everything there, but be careful; many of their offerings are on the higher end of the ABV scale, especially the meads. You won't be disappointed, however! read more
