Great small family business with delicious grapes and other fruit wines to make the Sunday afternoons a little more brighter. They offer slushies which will bring me back with my friends. The outdoor area has tables in the sun and the shade for those that have preferred seating with even indoors. Andrew, their son was attentive and rallied with his father to take care of me as we were drastically outnumbered with the ladies enjoying a ceramic paint event painting sunflowers and other decor. You would be a fool to not head this way which is a 8 min drive from the highway. Traveling During COVID 19 Four stars for what amounted to a lovely afternoon. During the pandemic the interior tasting room is closed, but you're able to walk inside to use the one-person bathroom. One can opt for a glass, a bottle or a tasting at tables adequately spaced on the covered patio or lawn. We tried the tasting @ $7 a person -- and it was fun. Starting with chardonnay, moving down the list to cab franc (good, but too much sediment) then merlot, chambourcin and onto fruity wines like blueberry, strawberry ... you get the picture. My favorite wine is old vine zin. I'm pretty traditional. I assumed their fruit wines would be akin to cough medicine -- sweet and syrupy -- but I was pleasantly surprised. We ended up buying a bottle of their cherry table wine for $17 which was light and refreshing on a hot day. Truthfully, the wine is not the best I've had. But the other guests -- most wearing masks when not drinking -- were really friendly, as are the owners. In addition, guests are encouraged to bring their own food, which we did. It was like a party! Located about 45 minutes from Philadelphia, Cedarvale is a great place to visit. I've gone to several wineries across the South Jersey area, and I must say that Cedarvale is my favorite! I went here for the first time with a friend of mine and we both felt right at home. The owners, Marsha and Ed, were both extremely nice and always had a smile on their face. We got the strawberry wine, which was excellent! It was the perfect Summer wine. After that, I got a nectarine slushie, which was absolutely amazing. My whole experience there was very personable, which I loved. Walking into Cedarvale is like entering Marsha Gaventa's living room. There's no better place in the area to warm up on a snowy winter day! Upon arrival this afternoon, Marsha greeted us and urged us to take seats. We then started our tasting of their current selection for $5. I was especially excited, as I'm a big fruity, sweet wine drinker and that's a big chunk of their offerings. We began with the 2010 Cabernet Franc (winner of the 2013 Governor's Cup Award for best overall grape wine in the Garden State Wine Growers Competition.) It was deep and dry -- not what I'm used to at all, but it was good! Next was Merlot, which was also exceptional. Now! To my favorite part! Blueberry wine. Cherry wine. Strawberry wine. Nectarine wine. Apple wine. !!!! And yes, there is such a thing as "Nectarine wine." I've heard of peach, but this was a new one for me. I snagged a bottle, as well as bottles of cherry and strawberry, which tasted like they were just picked from the tree/field. Halfway through our tasting, Marsha asked if we wanted to see their production area where her husband Ed was busily working, then animatedly told us all about how they make their wine, which was really neat to hear! I've been to production areas for much larger wineries, but not when it's a two-person operation with the help of friends. To note: They are RIGHT off the Repaupo exit of Route 295. No excuses not to visit. The winery is so easy to find. This was just such a sweet, cozy winery, and I wish them all the luck in the future. Can't wait to go back! read more

For close highway proximity without so many highway sounds, warm hosts that make you feel like you're visiting a farm (and isn't it?) than a stuffy tasting room, yet quality product dry to sweet, this winery is an excellent stop. We equally loved the dry and sweet: the jammy chambourcin is great with steak, and fruity nectarine and strawberry dessert wines are just plain great. Cedar Rose Winery I got to meet the owners, Ed and Marsha, who were just fantastic and really nice people. They told me how they got into the wine business and making their various their wine varietals. I did a tasting and really enjoyed their dry and fruit wines. Normally I am not a sweet wine kind of person but their fruit wines were really nicely balanced and not too overly sweet, especially the blueberry wine. The nectarine wine would be perfect for Sangria . A real treat. I highly recommend and suggest everyone go by and try some of their wine. read more

The winery is small but there is enough outdoor seating. They let you bring your own food while you buy drinks. They also have wine tasting menu. I personally wasn't big fan of their wines and dont think I would go back. But it's worth the try if you aren't going out of your way to get here. read more

Another lovely little winery to be had in the sticks of South Jersey! I loved Cedarvale equally for its great wine and chill vibe. Marsha, one of the owners, is very informative and down to earth, which made for a great tasting. Marsha was nice enough to literally grab a bottle of their new blueberry wine off of the bottling line for us to try, and it was great. My personal favorite, however, was the Cab Franc. Apparently I have really good taste because it was a big winner in some Governor's Cup contest. I highly recommend Cedarvale for anyone looking to enjoy an unpretentious, quality wine tasting. read more

I recently held a bridal shower at Cedervale Winery on a Sunday afternoon. The room size was perfect for our group size (35 people). The Owner, Marcia was incredibly helpful with set-up on the day of the event. When I went the check the space out she had a lot of photos from what other groups have done with set-up and decor. The price fit right into my budget and it's ver easy access off 295 which made this the perfect location. The tasting room was still open, but it felt like we had the entire place to ourselves. read more

Their wines are flavorful and made from locally grown grapes and fruits. Also, many of the "usual customers" are super friendly and offer an inviting experience. My boyfriend and I make every Sunday wine day and 2 weeks ago Cedarvale was one of our stops. Let me tell you I wish we had gone there much sooner. This is by far one of my favorite wineries I've been to in all of NJ, VA, and NY so far. The owner, Marsha greeted us warmly and invited us to sit down. She took us through the tasting and all of the wines were DELICIOUS. She was friendly and we ended up just sitting there and chatting with her for a while. The tasting room is beautiful and did I mention how DELICIOUS the wine is. I highly recommend making this a stop, I almost guarantee you will be back. We visited this tiny, pleasant winery and enjoyed one of the friendliest, comfortable wine tasting ever. Their host that greets you at the door is their cute but calm Pekinese, Peaches.We were talking with Ed the winemaker and his wife Marsha, who told us the history of their farm, what he grows, and how he fine tunes his wines, not some college kid who only knows what she is told. Their grape wines were smooth, and the fruit wines were somewhat dry yet ull of flavor, especially the unique cherry. They felt like family.
