We've interviewed a few home builders, checked out their work and reputation, and eventually decided to go with Gil, Oren, and the whole team of Go Home Builders. Working with the insurance was a pain, luckily Gil had experience working with Allstate insurance before, and he helped us a lot getting the money we needed to rebuild our home. The planning process took a bit longer than what we initially planned for. The county of LA took their sweet time approving our plans. Fortunately, after 2 sets of revisions we were fully approved. The construction wasn't bad at all, they had plenty of guys working on our home at the same time. The only time there was no work, was on inspection days. The finishes was one thing that was extremely important for us. My wife and I are detail oriented and wanted to make sure we're choosing the right company to do the finish work correctly. All I can say is that they exceeded my expectations. Overall the beginning of the process was extremely emotional challenging, but the whole team of Go Home Builders made us feel like we're not alone. My wife and I are very grateful for them. I'd highly recommend.

Go Home Builders did a wonderful job with our primary bathroom remodel. We interviewed multiple…read morecompanies and went with GHB since they seemed the most design-forward and client-friendly of the bunch, and gave us a reasonable quote too. I had a rough vision in mind for fitting a lot into a relatively small space, but wanted to see the options rendered so I could better make the big layout and design decisions. Alexis was very patient and super helpful in mocking up each iteration until we locked in the final design. Once it was time to actually break ground, Gil, Oren, Uriel, and the rest of the team were really responsive and always available by text. Unlike previous contractors we've worked with, they usually gave us an idea of what was happening the next day/week and who to expect onsite. The first ~70% of the project went really smoothly and far exceeded my expectations. Demo, framing, rough plumbing, and electrical all largely went without a hitch. We ran into some problems towards the end around communication, timeline, and subcontractor oversight -- which led to more delays when someone punctured our new in-wall toilet tank and flooded both the bathroom and bedroom. We know every construction job runs into challenges so we weren't bent out of shape by it, and we did appreciate that GHB took full responsibility for fixing the issues. By and large we were really impressed by most of their subcontractors, especially the very professional and considerate plumbing, electrical, and tiling teams! After living with our new bathroom for a while now, we can definitely say it was worth the wait, and such a huge improvement over our previous dysfunctional layout. Thanks to GHB for their great service, amazing attitude, attention to detail, and for bringing the bright, colorful bathroom of my dreams to life!

I appreciated that there was no price difference whether we did them concurrently versus sequentially. We went with the latter so that we could have a bathroom available for everyone to use. Bonus shout outs to their subcontractors who did electrical, tiles, and cabinets because they were extremely friendly, timely, and clean. I'd recommend Zenith for your bathroom remodeling needs.

I knew that whatever house project we worked on next, I was going to hire someone who could bring the quality we wanted. I first reached out to Zenith Builder about potential home projects and met with Zuriel in 2023. He was honest and gave his perspective on the different options we were considering. We ended up not going through with any projects at that time because everything was out of our budget and we needed to figure out what we wanted. Fast forward to this past April, we finally decided to remodel our garage. I didn't even hesitate and knew I wanted to hire Zenith. Zuriel came out again and talked through the details of the different options we were considering. Once we decided on the initial scope, they started and worked quickly. The project manager was really communicative and easy to work with. When we added scope in the middle of the project, Zuriel was transparent about the additional costs and even though we approved over text, he would still quickly put together the documentation to send over for approval. If you're looking for a stress-free experience in remodeling/construction, look no further because Zenith is your answer. After the experiences we had, Zenith is worth every penny. I will use them again when we do our next home renovation.

We had a vision, and Mike brought it to life!…read more We've tackled our fair share of remodel projects over the years, but nothing quite prepared us for the leap into a complete, ground-up ADU build. We knew this wasn't a project to hand off to just anyone, we needed a true expert, someone who could steer us through every twist and turn with confidence. That's exactly what we found in Mike. From our very first meeting, Mike had a calm, reassuring presence that told us we were in good hands. He listened closely to our vision, asked the right questions, and laid out a clear path forward that immediately put our minds at ease. And trust us, our minds needed easing, we came to him with a steady stream of nervous, sometimes repetitive questions, and he never once made us feel like a burden. He answered every single one with patience, warmth, and genuine reassurance. Communication was a true highlight of working with Mike. He kept us updated at every stage, so we always knew exactly where things stood. What could have been an incredibly stressful, all-consuming process instead felt manageable, even exciting. He also took the reins on coordinating with city inspectors throughout the entire build, handling all the back-and-forth so we didn't have to lift a finger. That alone lifted a massive weight off our shoulders. And the icing on the cake? He finished the entire project ahead of the estimated timeline, without ever cutting corners on quality or care. If you're on the fence about a big build like this, let us save you the trouble: call Mike. He turned what could have been an overwhelming experience into one we're genuinely grateful for, and the final result speaks for itself. We couldn't recommend him more highly.

Mike applies his experience well with smart changes to the plans that we wouldn't have thought of, and was flexible when we had questions or changes to make. Mike and all of his crews were professional, courteous, and very accommodating (we lived in the house during construction!). Overall we're very happy with Mike as a contractor and with the completed addition!

Three of those projects were on a 1920s Spanish triplex, where we modernized all the units while preserving its original character, including converting a three-car garage into an ADU. Gary's extremely easy to work with, communicative, reliable, and cares about the quality of his work. He'll give you his professional opinion when needed, but he listens to what you want and never tries to push his preferences over yours. His subs are solid, his pricing is reasonable, and he's always been accommodating when little extras come up outside the original scope. He is a competent professional and trusted contractor with a solid team of subcontractors who have been doing this work for decades. With this renovation, we brought our 1912 Craftsman bungalow down to the studs. This was a full-gut renovation that involved replacing all mechanicals, drywall, new bathrooms, new kitchen and doing a primary bath addition. With Gary's construction expertise, we were able to restore the home while maintaining its original charm and bring our design to life. Some of Gary's many contributions included framing a new tray/drop ceiling, installing custom window and door casings to match the originals. He also rebuilt the front porch railings and reinforced the porch ceiling so it would accommodate a porch swing. He built our backyard studio shed in just a couple days and it's adorable. While nearly everything is new, you can't tell. And that is a compliment to the quality of craftsmanship. Gary doesn't cut corners and it shows. It is very important that you trust your contractor and that they have integrity and do what they say they are going to do. Experience is also very important. Gary has all of this. We will definitely be calling Gary for the next house we buy. We can't recommend him enough.
