I remodeled my kitchen, 2.5 bathrooms and painted the entire inside of my house. I also removed the carpet and replaced it with LVP. The process was grueling but the results were beautiful. Jose was a great help in guiding me through the whole process. I am grateful and so happy I went with JV Builders! read more

JV Builders is the best to work with. Jose is enthusiastic; accessible; easy to work with; excited by the project that we were developing with him. He came to our residence to see the space we were looking to convert to an ADU, engaged with to learn our concept and vision, and converted those ideas into sketches and drafts, making suggestions along the way that would improve the design and potentially save costs. We were also impressed that so much is done in-house--design, engineering, construction, permit mgmt, etc. He was flexible and amenable to work with our schedule as we developed our project. An exceptional experience, and looking forward to the opportunity to with Jv again. read more

We added a patio area to the entrance of the house, a beautiful wood fence wall at front, added pony walls around the perimeter of the house, added wood to the roof soffits, and a fresh coat of paint to complete the job. We were really surprised (as was our neighbor) how quickly the whole job went! And their attention to detail & making the customer happy was impressive. Jose was our project manager and he was so communicative throughout the whole process, and was always present. He was upfront, gave great advice & didn't act like a salesman. He had a great eye for design that we trusted. We really appreciated him. We'd work with him again in a heartbeat! read more

I'm so happy our realtor recommended them to us. Jose guided us through every step, which was very helpful for two indecisive people like us. In addition to the excellent quality of their work, JV Builders also accommodated our hectic schedules, checked in throughout the process, and helped with gathering all the necessary materials. They remodeled both our primary and secondary bathrooms, and we are enjoying every second of their work. Despite the fact that we both work primarily from home, they were able to complete the work in a timely manner while still allowing us space to get our own tasks completed. Truly cannot recommend enough. Our house is pretty old (1950s), and they helped not just with the renovations but also in assessing all the problems that arise with older homes. Looking forward to working with them again in the future! read more

I am so grateful we found Jose for our home renovation. Their crew managed a huge project for us: new floors throughout the house, a new upstairs layout, vaulting our ceiling from 10 feet to 20 feet, expanding the kitchen, building a new bathroom, replacing half the roof, and adding new windows and skylights. They are great project managers, juggling deadlines and finishing exactly within the timeline they gave us. They transformed our home from a dark, unwelcoming space into a home we hope to live in for decades. Compared to other quotes we got, they are a great value. I cannot recommend them enough. read more

JV Builders and Development took care of our whole bathroom after water leaked through our ceiling from the upstairs shower. The last owner never waterproofed it right. Jose managed the project and made us feel good about everything from day one. He kept us posted on building codes and what went wrong before, so we knew it would get done correctly this time. The crew was on time, nice, and careful around our baby. They let us add the rest of the room to the job too. Our old dark space is completely modern now. Looking forward to working with them again for a kitchen possibly next year. read more

Where do we begin? Jose is a true professional. From day one, we were impressed by his knowledge, attention to detail, and the thoughtful way he approached our garage conversion. He really listened to our vision and was genuinely excited to help us bring it to life. While other contractors handled framing and electrical, Jose's team took care of everything else--plumbing, insulation, drywall, and finishing work--with excellent skill and craftsmanship. When we ran into unexpected water damage, Jose quickly brought in a specialized team to handle the issue and made sure the repair was solid and looked even better than before. What really sets Jose apart is his accountability and communication. If something wasn't quite right, he owned it and worked quickly to make it right. He's incredibly responsive--even when he's busy, he would get back to us within minutes. If we could give more than five stars, we would. We're already planning to work with Jose and his team again on future projects! read more

They were knowledgeable, flexible, collaborative and very easy to reach and talk to. After permits were pulled, they got to work right away. Inspections were timely and any corrections were made quickly. They were very organized and efficient throughout. We loved watching the transformation and are so happy with the final result. If I could give JV Builders 10 Stars I would. Not only is their workmanship top tier, but their customer service is even better! Team is super down to earth and stands behind his work. He gives many great designs and ideas. Alot of these company will promise you the moon and stars but as soon as they're done with their work they wash their hands of it, Not JV! Anytime I had any issue after the work was done he would always take care of them. I'm so impressed and have suggested his work for my sister, who had her entire home remodeled and will continue to recommend all my friends and family. Highly highly read more

Jose of JV Builders was the 5th licensed contractor I interviewed. On his consultation visit, he didn't just take a peek, make a few measurements and leave. And he didn't over-stay the consultation visit by asking way too many personal questions about our jobs and to basically gauge what he would (over) charge. Instead, Jose gave a competitive, fair price, a clear time-line and answered all of my questions on the spot. I felt I could trust him. I choose Jose and was so glad I did. My mother-in-law needed a walk-in/accessible shower due to having a bad fall. So with my wife's vision/design we laid out our plan for Jose and his team. Each member of Jose's team were hard-working, courteous and cleaned up after themselves. Jose himself wasn't in everyday but was accessible anytime we had a question or request. And he was quick to take action every step of the way. After about 10 days, Jose's team finished the shower. While it wasn't a true walk-in shower (it would've taken extra time to coordinate with the HOA on a concrete issue), the end result was a stylish, accessible shower that Mamita (mother-in-law) declared, "this is better than any hotel shower." Happy Mamita, Happy Wife - and yes Happy Life. We were so thrilled with their work that we hired Jose and his team to renovate our 2nd shower. The same professionalism, attention to detail and expertise was given to our shower - and because we added an accent wall for tiling, it took a bit longer than the 1st shower - but don't tell Mamita - we think it's even better. We look forward to working together with Jose and his team again in the future. I whole-heartedly give JV Builders our highest recommendation. read more

Great company to work with. Jose and his team to turn our old Master Bathroom into our dream bathroom. We got rid of our tub and redesigned the whole bathroom around a 2 person sauna, whole new shower, and a modern vanity and extra storage. Overall everything came out perfectly! We hired JV Builders for a complete remodel of two bathrooms, laundry room, entryway and a bonus room and I am so grateful that we chose this crew for this, quite an extensive, job. The project took a few months to complete and while there were some supply chain issues, it came out exactly the way we envisioned. Jose was very professional and nice, always ready to make tweaks if needed. Their quote was very fair and there were no surprise additional costs which is something that I worried about (I guess I watch too many renovation shows). They handled all the permits and he stopped by the house almost every day to make sure everything was running smoothly. I would definitely recommend JV Builders for any renovation job. read more

Jose and his team are phenomenal!! We've had such a great experience working with them. We're new homeowners and Jose walked us through and informed us of necessary steps for a safe and updated home. He is so knowledgeable, experienced, and professional with construction and all the house things that we felt we were in really good hands. The team replaced our roof and gutters, added attic ventilation and fans, laid concrete in various areas to prevent water damage to the foundation, meticulously replaced all the knob-and-tube wiring around the house, patched, painted, and cleaned up. We had other various construction and repairs that we added on as they came up and Jose worked with us and gave us very reasonable quotes. And the workmanship was truly above and beyond. We are so happy with the results. Being new to this and not knowing other contractors, we had reached out and met with various roofers, electricians, etc. and even worked with a couple of them, but we always returned to Jose because he knows the right people and is such a great general contractor. We learned what that means to have someone trusted lead your projects because they save you time/money and the learning curve from vetting people, coordinating schedules, and knowing the right order and ways to do things efficiently. We're so lucky to have found JV Builders and highly recommend them!! read more

He came on the site first day and visited throughout the week. Job was done quickly, but our neighbors witnessing could tell it was done really well The JV Builders team was respectful and knowledgeable. Jose gets an additional shout out. I have to admit, I can be quite a difficult person to work with I'm very particular about what I want. So when it came to hiring a contractor, I was understandably skeptical. WHAT A FANTASTIC EXPERIENCE -- HIRE JV BUILDERS! A VERY WELL-DESERVED 5-STAR RATING, AND THEN SOME! Finding a dependable contractor in Los Angeles is really tough. My wife and I just bought a fixer-upper. We were at a really low point after our own relative, a licensed contractor, nearly ruined our project. With Jose Flores at JV Builders, our experience was the complete opposite. From start to finish, our experience was WONDERFUL! Jose's professionalism was on full display. He was very clear about the permit and inspection process with the city, his team was very generous and attuned to their craft, and they made sure every detail of our renovated home was to our absolute liking. Most importantly, he was very transparent about our budget. Jose and his team even worked in some surprises that we thought we could not afford. JV Builders did a complete renovation of our duplex unit, which was in very poor shape. The work they did was very extensive--in essence, they modernized it. They renovated our entire electrical panel and wiring up to code, which allowed us to have a new central A/C system. Our kitchen is unrecognizable from what it was, with brand new cabinetry and appliances. Our bathroom is leaps and bounds beyond the moldy disaster it used to be. Several of our friends and neighbors asked for Jose's contact information after seeing first-hand the quality of work that his team did. I assure you, the team at JV Builders knows their craft, and they will do an ABSOLUTELY OUTSTANDING job for you! This renovation was the first of several phases that we have planned for our home. I will definitely work with JV Builders again in the future, but in the meantime, I highly encourage you to consult with JV Builders about your renovation and construction needs! Thank you to the entire JV Builders team for going above and beyond our expectations. My family and I look forward to working with you again, and we wish you the absolute best! read more

Contracted to do a driveway replacement after receiving 3 bids. JV Builders was awarded the job based upon their competitive price, demonstrated technical knowledge and favorable reviews. I contacted JV Builders a few months ago to get an estimate to redo my kitchen, the floor and to paint the first floor. The previous contractors that I contacted were a bit cheaper but what impressed me the most and why I ended up going with JV builders was the amount of knowledge and customer service that they provide. They asked all the right questions. They had plenty of examples for all the finished material and they really listened to my needs. I had a tile floor which was hideous and the whole kitchen was very outdated and kind of depressing. They helped me to think of a new layout that would complement the space and would fit my needs. The new floor that I got was for the whole house and it looks amazing. The paint was done quickly with no major mess around the house. If you're looking for someone that is professional and that will actually listen to you and answer your needs, I would recommend giving them a chance. read more
