    Wall before slat planels

I needed someone to help create a frame to mount wood slat panels with appropriate cutouts for a wall mounted TV as well as outlets. I requested a quote from Jack, and he was quick to respond and very professional. Jack completed my project in a timely manner. He and his workers made sure to keep the work area and surrounding areas clean as well. His quote for labor/materials was very reasonable. I later set up my entertainment system and am happy with how everything came together. I highly recommend his services.

Jack and his team did an amazing job on my garage door! It was a particularly challenging task, but their solution was efficient, very clean, and addressed our problems. Thanks, Jack!

Jack is incredible! A couple of days ago my closet shelf decided to rip itself out of my wall and dump all of my shoes and clothes all over the floor and within minutes Jack responded to my consultation request. He was able to make it out to me the very next day to put everything back on the wall and even patched up the holes where the shelf was previously drilled in. The whole process took him maybe 15-20 minutes. His quote was very affordable and he was very pleasant to work with! He even took his shoes off when coming in the house and wore a mask the whole time of his own choice (amazing to see that he takes his health and others' health seriously!!!) Overall I had a great experience working with him and definitely will be hiring him again! Thanks so much, Jack! :)

Excellent work! Jack and his team painted a bathroom, installed rain gutter leaf guards, installed a new drier vent hose, and fixed a door that wouldn't latch properly in a 4-unit apartment building I own. Great pricing, Jack and his team arrived on time, were polite and very professional with me and my tenants. Quality work and completed faster than I thought it would be. Will definitely hire again!

I was in the market to replace my bathtub and was looking for someone that was willing to. I found JM Handyman Service, and scheduled a consultation with Jack. He was very professional, thorough in the process and well priced. Jack and his team came in and finished our project in less than two days leaving the place cleaner than we expected. We will definitely be using Jack & his team for future projects throughout our home. Thank you!

Jack and his helper were on time and did a quality repair job on some old solid-wood closet doors, and they charged a very reasonable rate.

From day one, the whole team made the process so much easier than we could have imagined and we couldn't be more delighted with the results. We worked closely with Michael, Sean, and Tritia every step of the way through meetings at their office, on site walkthroughs, and text and email. I had very specific design ideas I wanted to include and never once felt gaslit or unheard. Coram would do their best to accommodate my ideas and if they couldn't for structural reasons, we would work collaboratively to find a design that worked for the space. Sean's attention to detail and his tech savvy nature was a huge asset throughout the process. Our contractor extraordinaire, Leo, was super reliable and always had a positive attitude. His motto was "there's always a solution" and there is truly not a problem he can't solve. Since we chose to live in our house during the renovation process, we were nervous about dust and noise but the crew was clean and the always respectful. They even worked through a power outage--with their own generator! Francisco, the carpenter, built all our cabinets to our exact measurements. For our wet bar, he took a sketch we came up with and built a masterpiece. In fact, we had planned to save a bit on budget and build our own media center but after seeing his craftsmanship in the kitchen, we knew he had to be the one to build our media center and we are grateful he did! His work is just beautiful--you can tell it's built to last. What I appreciated most was how well everyone worked together. We always felt like our project mattered, and if we had a question or change, the team was quick to respond and genuinely helpful. Now that everything's done, our kitchen and bathrooms not only look amazing but are way more functional too. We honestly couldn't be happier and would 100% recommend Coram to anyone thinking about remodeling.

The team at Coram Design Center is the best. They worked with us to design and build our house…read moreinterior and the whole experience was positive from start to finish. I appreciated how they listened to my ideas and then provided helpful and smart solutions. I struggled with feeling like all my ideas were too wild for my budget, but they were able to discuss things with me in a practical way and explain what we could realistically do. They guided me through the process step by step, first starting with inspiration pictures and then collaborating with me on every decision like kitchen and bathroom layout, the lighting, structural considerations, plumbing changes, flooring options, appliances, the cabinets, the tile, colors, even the placement of the mirrors and knobs. They provided different options to consider within our price range and knew when to discuss potential issues that could come up, things I never would have thought of on my own. Coram found a balance between getting my input while also providing me with professional opinions on what they knew would/would not work. Very collaborative. They do everything in house, the architecture, interior design and contracting work which made communication about the project a breeze. I could trust the project manager to relay important information to me when needed. Now that we are living in our house I keep having moments of noticing details that they worked on that we really love, for example, they put automatic lights in the laundry closet and that's such a nice touch. The hood range they helped us select has an automatic sensor and we were so pleasantly surprised the first time it turned on while cooking. I keep staring at the plumbing and lighting fixtures they helped us pick because they are so beautiful, functional, and they fit in our budget. There was no way I could have managed to pick all those details on my own. The overall feel of the house is exactly what I hoped for and everyone who visits us is amazed at how nice it turned out. I feel like their style is exactly my style--minimal, modern, sleek, incorporating traditional elements when needed--but it's more likely that they are just good at working with their clients to make it exactly their own. I think renovations can be so scary especially if there's a lot you don't understand. We had spoken to several other design teams before this and hiring Coram was the moment when the impossible task suddenly felt possible, they approach everything with a problem solving mindset and will take the time to explain things to you. It really makes all the difference. Had the best experience with Coram and will highly recommend them to all our friends and family.

We also needed someone to paint the entire house, including the eaves, wood windows, trim, and exterior doors. As the project progressed, we also added on removing a window, re-siding the back of our house (a long wall without stucco), installing a new back door, and replacing our old garage door with a brand new one. Through all these changes, Daniel and sons rolled with the punches and delivered an absolutely gorgeous end product. They even consulted on paint colors, and I could not be more satisfied with the results. As a bonus, Daniel and his sons are just the nicest people you'll meet (and you will meet ALL four sons). I'm originally from the Midwest, and they reminded me of everyone I know from back home - friendly, honest, and always up for a chat. After getting quotes from three different landscaping companies, we opted to work with Drougthscape. Clear explanation of costs (itemized phases of work), good rapport, experienced Team, respectful, and fabulous/creative design eye. Services: Demolition, removal of dead sod, removal and correct installation of irrigation, correct installation of Decomposed Granite (DG), installation gopher deterrent mesh barrier, Zero-scape the front of the house/gravel only, additional fencing installed to make a distinct garden for the guest unit. About $69,000 USD. The biggest expenses were irrigation and fencing. Bonus: Our dog fell in love with the crew. The only con: our project began in December 2025-January 2026. It took longer than estimated because of the holidays and then unavoidable rain (for the one time of year it rains in LA). These complaints have to do with timing rather than any service, interaction, or decision made my Cody or his crew.

Amin will answer any questions you have throughout the entire process. Even if you text him at 9pm he will respond quick. If he says something will be done by a certain time frame, he will ensure that it is done. I really wanted LED mirrors at the end and he wasn't able to do it. We were even willing to pay extra for it! We ended up having to get plain, boring mirrors with no LED which was pretty disappointing. Also, one of the biggest issue I had was I wanted all the outlets changed since the previous ones were yellow and old but he said it'll be an additional charge. White walls and yellow outlets? EWWW!! We pretty much did a whole gut renovation and spent a fortune but couldn't get our outlets switched out. I thought it would be an easy switch but apparently he said it costs to change bc it has to do with the electrical aspect of it. Didn't know that but now I know. We ended up finding a handyman to do it at less than a fraction of his price. Although we had a few disagreements here and there but from start to finish, Amin was available to answer our questions, concerns and help fix anything. He is so easy to work with and made this whole process extremely seamless. The team was able to get everything done and we moved in on the date that we wanted to. We've interviewed a few home builders, checked out their work and reputation, and eventually decided to go with Gil, Oren, and the whole team of Go Home Builders. Working with the insurance was a pain, luckily Gil had experience working with Allstate insurance before, and he helped us a lot getting the money we needed to rebuild our home. The planning process took a bit longer than what we initially planned for. The county of LA took their sweet time approving our plans. Fortunately, after 2 sets of revisions we were fully approved. The construction wasn't bad at all, they had plenty of guys working on our home at the same time. The only time there was no work, was on inspection days. The finishes was one thing that was extremely important for us. My wife and I are detail oriented and wanted to make sure we're choosing the right company to do the finish work correctly. All I can say is that they exceeded my expectations. I had a rough vision in mind for fitting a lot into a relatively small space, but wanted to see the options rendered so I could better make the big layout and design decisions. Alexis was very patient and super helpful in mocking up each iteration until we locked in the final design. Once it was time to actually break ground, Gil, Oren, Uriel, and the rest of the team were really responsive and always available by text. Unlike previous contractors we've worked with, they usually gave us an idea of what was happening the next day/week and who to expect onsite. The first ~70% of the project went really smoothly and far exceeded my expectations. Demo, framing, rough plumbing, and electrical all largely went without a hitch. We ran into some problems towards the end around communication, timeline, and subcontractor oversight -- which led to more delays when someone punctured our new in-wall toilet tank and flooded both the bathroom and bedroom. We know every construction job runs into challenges so we weren't bent out of shape by it, and we did appreciate that GHB took full responsibility for fixing the issues. By and large we were really impressed by most of their subcontractors, especially the very professional and considerate plumbing, electrical, and tiling teams! After living with our new bathroom for a while now, we can definitely say it was worth the wait, and such a huge improvement over our previous dysfunctional layout. Thanks to GHB for their great service, amazing attitude, attention to detail, and for bringing the bright, colorful bathroom of my dreams to life!
