My husband and I have had our fair share of interesting (mostly bad) experiences with contractors/construction. I'm probably quite annoying with the sheer number of quote requests and proposal asks, yet Zenith came out as the most professional and clear in terms of detailing out their proposed work out of the numerous contractors we chatted with. They also offer drafting and 3d rendering services for a small added fee so you definitely know what you're signing up for prior to a larger project. After buying a new house, we were looking for creative solves to fix an extremely weird and small bathroom situation where expanding it was not going to be a straightforward solve given limited spacing in our house... and not wanting to expand our house which would take even longer to move in and break the bank for us. Zenith is your one stop shop, with electrical and plumbing covered for this type of project. They can also help with some materials too and you'll get a very clear quote on what is or isn't needed to purchase/covered allowances that they can help procure. While it looks like I won't be able to go with them this time (purely due to budget, but they were extremely fair and competitive with their pricing for the level of service they offer), Zenith was extremely helpful in giving us their perspective and I have no doubt they can get the work done in a great manner. I contacted Zenith Builder to remove a bathtub and replace it with a shower. Zenith Builder responded promptly, viewed the bathroom and offered a quote. A contract was agreed upon that thoroughly described every step of the project, all inspections required and when payments were due. Zenith Builder provided a professional crew. The Project Manager kept me informed who would be at my house and what work they would be doing. The demolition crew was quick, complete and hauled away all the trash leaving my property clean and ready for construction. What was so wonderful about this new shower was the expert person who worked tirelessly on tiling this shower. He incorporated my ideas to use decorative tile in certain places and always gave excellent suggestions on tile placement. To me, this shower is a work of art. Zenith Builder promoted the concept that the overall bathroom would be enhanced even though their work was focused on the shower. Their crew painted the entire bathroom instead of doing patch work repairs. The result is a beautiful completed bathroom. Prior to starting this home renovation project, I've heard so many horror stories from people who had terrible experiences with their contractor. They ranged from things not being done properly or lack of communication or just endless delays. As someone who has never done a big renovation project, I was definitely nervous about finding the right contractor. I feel so lucky to have stumbled upon Zenith Builder. From start to finish, Zuriel and his team worked with us to draw up plans, get permits, and complete the project. Whenever I spoke with Zuriel on the phone, I appreciated his honest and straightforward answers. I never got the sense that I was getting a sales pitch like I did with some of the other contractors I talked to. Max, the planner, was also fantastic to work with. He listened to what we wanted with our ADU and the existing home and made great suggestions. He made the process of submitting the plans and getting them approved by the city very seamless. Because of some inevitable delays caused by the city, the renovation took 1 year to complete, from designing, acquiring permits to finishing. After a year of trying to tackle them on myself and not having much progress, I called Zenith Builder and couldn't be happier. Zuriel and his team quickly finished all of the work and made it as easy as possible for me. They dealt with all of the Building & Safety Department permitting, communication with my electric utility for a panel upgrade, and gave me timely updates on the project progress. We have a 90yo arch window that we wanted restored. We were given a quote to sand, seal and paint... I mentioned that we wanted it glazed. Zuriel said glazing would be extra and we agreed on a price. Unfortunately, they used caulk instead of a glazing compound when they sealed it. Zuriel gave me a refund for the extra he charged for glazing. Overall satisfied with the work. I met Zuriel, the owner, when he came over to quote me for the remodel of one full bath and one powder room. I received very competitive pricing between Zenith and another company, however, we ultimately decided to go with Zenith. Vincent was our project manager and the people actually doing the remodel work were Jesus, Robert and someone else I never got the name of. Vincent, who is very calm and zen-like, helped make the entire process mostly stress-free which is helpful because it can be very nerve-wracking to remodel. He listens well, has good problem-solving skills, and a great memory so he never forgot all the little things we wanted completed. Robert, the tiler, did an amazing job. I'm very picky and it was hard to find imperfections in his work. Jesus and the other gentleman worked on everything else not related to tiling. There were a few times things were not done to our liking but they always worked on them until we were satisfied. In the end, we are happy with the result and feel delight every time we walk into those rooms. I especially love looking at the decorative brushed gold p-trap and water supply lines they installed under the console sink in the powder room (which, by the way, was not easy to do because the faucet isn't centered).
